Your news......with sass. Presented by Pie. Because it's Pi Day. Now from the newsroom, it's Pierre Kelly!
Me: Hi everyone, good afternoon from the Pacific Bay area and TGIF! Hope you are well. And if you aren't well, well........
Jennifer Nettles served as host of Farmer Wants a Wife for its first two seasons on Fox in 2023 and 2024. However, she will not be returning for Season 3 in March 2025.
While the show has nabbed an excellent replacement, there’s no doubt that Nettles will be missed.
Nettles has not addressed her departure from the show, but she’s been keeping very busy over the past year. In April 2024, she and Kristian Bush reunited as Sugarland at the CMT Awards. The duo had been on a six-year hiatus at the time.
Four months later, they released their EP There Goes the Neighborhood, then promoted it on a joint tour with Little Big Town from October to December. Since Farmer Wants a Wife likely filmed at some point in 2024, production probably didn’t fit in with Nettles’ busy music schedule.
Kimberly Williams-Paisley is the new Farmer Wants a Wife host. The casting news was announced in December 2024.
And the winner of the Steve Harvey lookalike contest goes to........
Steve Harvey – the Emmy-winning entertainer, author, and philanthropist known for series including “Judge Steve Harvey,” “Family Feud” and “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” – has signed on to use AI licensing and protection platform Vermillio to guard against deepfakes and other unauthorized use of his image.
“In today’s digital age, keeping up with the scammers using my likeness across all of the platforms is an impossible task,” Harvey said. “My primary concern is to make sure my fans don’t fall victim to these schemes. Partnering with Vermillio gives me the tools to both protect my personal brand and more importantly, my fans while embracing the future of AI the right way – with consent and control.”
Speaking with Variety, Dan Neely, co-founder & CEO of Vermillio, noted that such misuse is “rampant,” with an estimated one million pieces of deepfake content created every minute. He related that Vermillio has opened a dialogue with SAG-AFTRA and other guilds, as well as talent agencies, management companies and talent.
Steve Harvey Global chief development officer Christel Sicé, facilitated the use of the Vermillio platform on behalf of SHG alongside CAA, with represents the entertainer.
“Steve Harvey’s partnership with Vermillio reflects a powerful vision for the future of talent and AI,” Neely said. “With TraceID, Steve is not only protecting his own legacy but also the wellbeing of his many fans. He’s leading the way in showing how the most beloved public figures can responsibly engage with AI.”
Prime Video to Stream Emmy-Nominated Series "The Apprentice" Starting Today, Monday, March 10
For the first time, Prime Video customers will be able to stream Seasons 1-7 of the popular competition series from MGM Alternative, Emmy Award-winning producer Mark Burnett, and the President of the United States Donald J. Trump
CULVER CITY, California - March 10, 2025 - Today, Prime Video announced that seasons 1-7 of the Emmy Award-nominated series The Apprentice starring President Donald J. Trump, will be available on the streaming service. For the first time, Prime Video customers will be able to stream the popular competition series, which debuted more than 20 years ago. Each season of The Apprentice will roll out weekly, with Season One premiering today Monday, March 10, and subsequent seasons dropping every Monday through April 27, 2025.
The Apprentice, which comes from 13-time Emmy Award-winning producer Mark Burnett (The Voice, Survivor, Shark Tank, Beat Shazam) and MGM Alternative, a division of Amazon MGM Studios, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in the United States only.
The series quickly became the number one show on television after its January 2004 premiere, with an average of 20 million viewers tuning in each week, and 28 million watching the Season One finale.
Burnett commented: "The Apprentice is one of the best shows that I ever produced. The charismatic onscreen presence of President Donald J. Trump made it a bona fide hit! Now, thanks to Prime Video, a whole new audience will experience a new season every Monday. This show is a love letter to New York City! Survivor grew an entirely new massive audience as result of old seasons being binged during the pandemic. On Monday, March 10, this same phenomenon will begin again...with The Apprentice."
President Donald J. Trump added: "I look forward to watching this show myself - such great memories, and so much fun, but most importantly, it was a learning experience for all of us!"
The Apprentice is a dramatic business competition in which 16 candidates from all walks of life endure rigorous tasks that challenge their intelligence and street-smarts. They compete in sometimes humorous but always difficult job assignments and are forced to think outside the box in order to outshine each other to get to the top. The winner of the competition, the true "apprentice" is granted their dream job with The Trump Organization and a salary of $250,000.
The Apprentice is executive produced by Mark Burnett and President Donald J. Trump.

Bulldog Licensing has secured several agreements to bring the cult British Bullseye brand to a range of games and puzzles, including slots and bingo in the United Kingdom.
Bulldog is the agent for the show and the overall brand, with the company securing various sub-agreements to provide a new lease of life for Bully, the inimitable mascot character that acts as the symbol and identity of Bullseye.
First broadcast in 1981, the darts-based TV game show quickly established itself, amassing a strong audience that would sustain it for more than a decade.
At its peak, Bullseye pulled in around 17 million viewers, with the popular show running for 15 series until 1995.
There was a short-lived revival in 2006, as well as a one-off Christmas special last year. On the back of the festive screening, hosted by former England cricket legend Freddie Flintoff, a new series has been commissioned by ITV to run in 2025.
University Games, a puzzle and board game manufacturer, will bring a Bullseye range to the market later this year, with a classic board game format and a mini-darts dice game to follow.
That will be supplemented by adult gaming offerings from Blueprint Operations, a U.K. subsidiary of the German gambling giant, Merkur.
Blueprint will bring slot games to approved locations, while the British operator Buzz Bingo has already launched new Bullseye-themed bingo products.
Bullseye Bingo is now live at various Buzz locations around the country and also live-streamed to other bingo halls.
Meanwhile, online gamblers can get involved with 90-ball games in a dedicated Bullseye Bingo room at Buzzbingo.com.
An update from a story posted yesterday: Holly Willoughby is reportedly being tipped to host a potential revival of Cilla Black's iconic TV dating show.
The host has been a staple on ITV for over a decade, and seems to be stepping back from the network after turning down an offer to return for a full series of the rebooted game show You Bet! This week, it was also rumored that Dancing On Ice was facing cancellation.
It's thought that Holly is receiving offers from the BBC to host a reboot of the iconic game show Blind Date, which Cilla hosted from 1985 to 2003. The idea is being backed by her husband, producer Dan Baldwin.
Holly Willoughby has stepped down from presenting the new season of You Bet! as the reboot heads towards filming later this year.
The series returned to TV screens after two decades late last year, with Willoughby co-presenting alongside Stephen Mulhern, as members of the public used their unique abilities in an attempt to pull off outrageous challenges in the hopes of taking home a whopping cash prize.
It has now been reported that Mulhern will instead present the show solo, with Willoughby unable to commit to the filming dates. A spokesperson for ITV told RadioTimes.com: "Unfortunately, Holly couldn't commit to the dates to host the new series of You Bet!, but will hopefully appear as a guest panellist on one of the shows in the new series."
Following its rebooted release during the festive period last year, You Bet! became ITV's biggest entertainment launch for younger views in over two years.
ITV confirmed that the series consolidated to 3.2 million viewers, rising to 4.1 million including repeats. In turn, it became ITV's biggest entertainment launch for 16-34s since The 1% Club launched in April 2022..
For the first time this year, Ann Pirvu sent in the troops for a Pep Mag Friday stream to get us into the weekend. Our video guy pulled in a clip from Instagram and here it is.
And you know what, let's have Sophia Angelica end it.
Then you know it's time for Livewire! Until next time, play on playas.
