AI alum Carrie Underwood is okay after a fall on her face.

The 34-year-old singer and former "American Idol" winner said in a post to her fan club members that she got more than 40 stitches in her face following a November incident where she also broke her wrist.
"There is also another part of the story that I haven't been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been so much uncertainty as to how things will end up," Underwood explained, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Variety has reported that comedian Iliza Shlesinger has been sued for billing her comedy show as "Girls Night In" by George St. George. He and a friend bought tickets and were told to sit in the back, and then later were not let in and offered a refund. Read the full article here!

Mrs. John Legend herself, Chrissy Teigen tweets about a flight from LA to Tokyo gone awkward.

"A flying first for me: 4 hours into an 11 hour flight and we are turning around because we have a passenger who isn't supposed to be on this plane. Why...why do we all gotta go back, I do not know," the model and "Lip Sync Battle" co-host said before she started regularly updating her followers on the situation.
"I don't know why I'm not more upset about this. The pleasure I get out of the story is worth more to me than a direct flight to Tokyo," she continued.
The All Nippon Airways flight was bound for Tokyo's Narita Airport before it turned back to LAX after it was discovered that an unauthorized person made it onboard.
"During the flight, the cabin crew became aware that one of the passengers boarded the incorrect flight and notified the pilot. As part of the airline's security procedure, the pilot in command decided to return to the originating airport, where the passenger was disembarked," Nippon Airways said in a statement Wednesday.

Another Kardashian has a baby......again.......this time it's Khloe.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star broke the news in a black-and-white Instagram photograph of her bare stomach cradled by Thompson. A lengthy caption accompanied the photo, saying it was Khloe Kardashian's "greatest dream realized."
"We are having a baby! I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along," she wrote.
Khloe Kardashian thanked Thompson for "making me a mommy."
"I still at times can't believe that our love created life! Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages!" her post read.
Though the baby will be Khloe Kardashian's first, Thompson already has a 1-year-old son with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.

According to Adweek, The all-new Gong Show was #5 on a list of the most disappointed shows of 2017/ Candy Crush on CBS should've been in there, too.

What time was it?

SYTYCD host Cat Deeley will host a new Lifetime TV show.

Lifetime has announced This Time Next Year, a new reality show that will follow the emotional journeys of ordinary people embarking on challenging missions to change their lives over the course of 365 days, will premiere Tuesday, January 16 at 10PM ET/PT.

Cat will serve as host of the series that will feature participants undergoing reconstructive surgeries, experiencing heartwarming reunions, and trying to conquer infertility or lose a substantial amount of weight.

A one-year transformation will be revealed in a single episode, as participants enter one door and instantly emerge from another in a "time-travel" type of format, revealing a brand new version of themselves.

Before she sends them off on their journeys, Cat will be shown meeting with each participant as he or she makes his or her personal pledge to change in front of a live audience.

Only after a participant's big reveal will viewers learn how -- and if -- the person achieved the desired goal.

Shark Bitten

A man who once competed on the ABC reality competition series “Shark Tank” was arrested last week in a sweep that took down nine suspected members of a cocaine-distribution ring in New Jersey, reports.
John DePaola was charged with conspiracy to possess cocaine in the sweep, which also led to the arrests of alleged ringleader Hugo Hernandez.
According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the arrests took place following a nine-month investigation dubbed Operation Snowball.

Prosecutors said that the ring was “moving approximately one-third of a kilogram of cocaine a week,” and that the investigation led to the seizure of more than 721 grams of cocaine as well as $14,943.
DePaola competed on “Shark Tank” in 2014, seeking an investor for a cover that protects wet paint brushes from drying out, according to DePaola, his cousin and a friend ultimately scored a $200,000 deal from shark Lori Greiner.
Categorizing his client as a “highly regarded individual in the community,” DePaola’s lawyer, Herbert Ellis, called the charge “a mistake.”
Wonder what happened to Even Marriot, aka Joe Millionaire? Well........

Marriott moved to Orange County where he started his own construction company. This was after Fake-A-Date got the boot. Now you know.

Me: Thank you Madi and welcome back. Later on, The Simpsons meets the twilight zone?

First off.......

Epic competition series American Ninja Warrior: Ninja vs. Ninja is bringing more heat to USA Network's spring line-up, pitting three-person athletic teams against one another on physically demanding, side-by-side obstacle courses that test endurance and speed. Hosted by comedian Matt Iseman and former NFL player Akbar Gbajabiamila, the show will feature even more challenging obstacles than ever before - incorporating human agility, meticulous skill, and a whole new strategy of racing.

For the 16-part season, fan-favorite competitors from the primetime "American Ninja Warrior" franchise will form 36 teams, each with two men and one woman, all competing to become the ultimate champions. In addition to hosts Iseman and Gbajabiamila, FOX Sports' Alex Curry will serve as sideline reporter, rounding out the talent commentators.

American ninja warrior: Ninja vs. Ninja is executive-produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions' founders Arthur Smith and Kent Weed (Hell's Kitchen, The Dunk King, Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge), along with Brian Richardson as executive producer. The show is a spinoff of "American Ninja Warrior" which is based on the "Sasuke/Ninja Warrior" format from Tokyo Broadcasting System Television, Inc., and airs on NBC.

Here's a follow along on the HQ android app.

Quiz show app HQ Trivia is getting ready to expand to Android: HQ Trivia, which has been a hit on iPhones in recent months, will be publicly available for Android users on January 1, the company announced this week.

HQ Trivia had originally planned to expand to Android in time for the holidays, but ended up only releasing the Android app to a smaller subset of users as part of what the company called a limited beta test. "(We) are working quickly on patches, so we can continue to roll it out to more testers throughout the week. Our goal is to make it available to ALL by Jan. 1," the company said in a tweet.

A chaser is about to chase families.....

The Chase’s Governess, aka Anne Hegerty, has been given her own family quiz show by ITV, which puts families to the test.

The brand new quiz show will see a range of families from across the country battle it out in a bid to be named Britain’s Brightest Family.

It’s not only about answering questions, though, as the families will have to know each other pretty well if they’re to correctly guess what their nominated family member answered.

Anne explains what the show is all about: “It’s a knockout competition to find Britain’s brightest family. Sixteen families going up against each other to face challenges including word and number puzzles, problem-solving and general knowledge skills.

“Each team has been selected by its teenage captain, so it’s a chance for the whole family to show what they know, and how well they know each other.”

On making the move to ITV prime time, she says: “It’s a bit of a responsibility being the filling in a Coronation Street sandwich [in the ITV evening schedule]. But it’s lovely to be trusted with such an amazing opportunity.”

The new series begins on Wednesday January 10 from 8pm on ITV.

Cover this is you will........

Game Show Network, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, announced today the premiere of its new documentary special, "COVER STORY: The Press Your Luck Scandal," premiering Sunday, January 14 at 7 pm ET. Additionally, the original scandalous Press Your Luck episodes featured in the special will air following the show at 8 and 8:30 pm ET.

The COVER STORY special will explore the story of Michael Larson, an air conditioning repairman from Ohio who cracked the game board algorithm and walked away with over $110,000 in cash and prizes. There was a one-in-six chance that each spin he took would erase his winnings, but Larson managed to evade the dreaded Whammy and accumulate the record breaking amount. Audiences went wild, but game show producers wanted to know how he did it. Had he cheated? Or did he simply outsmart the smartest minds in Hollywood?

"COVER STORY: The Press Your Luck Scandal" is produced by Game Show Enterprises, LLC for Game Show Network.

January 4 is National Trivia Day and iconic game show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" is celebrating in fitting style, with fans getting the chance to answer questions and win prizes all day long.

"Millionaire" will mark the occasion on the show's website and across all of the show's social platforms. On Jan. 4, fans can log onto Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to check out a special slate of questions. If they comment with the answer, using the hashtag #MillionaireSweepstakes, they'll be eligible to receive a $100 Visa ® gift card. Two winners will be selected by random drawing every two hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Ready, catch this!!!!!

Global Road Entertainment has pacted with DRG for quiz show format, Catch Phrase. Under the deal, Global Road (formerly IM Global) has acquired an option for North and Latin America as well as China. Based on a property created by Pasetta Productions and Steven Radosh, Catch Phrase pits three contestants against each other, requiring them to identify well-known phrases and sayings contained in animated picture puzzles, in order to win big cash prizes.

It originally had a U.S. syndicated run in 1985-86 and has been a mainstay of ITV primetime in the UK for over 20 years. The recently re-booted version was renewed for a 6th cycle last month.

Global Road’s Phil Gurin calls it “a gem of a format. It is brilliantly simple, highly visual and has great play-along for the whole family.” Catch Phrase adds to the newly-rechristened Global Road’s development slate that also includes King Kong Skull Island; Cat’s Cradle; and I, Rebel as well as unscripted shows Oh Sit!, Grudge Match and Fittest Family.

Other producers to have licensed Catch Phrase include Shine in France, Endemol in Italy, Pernel Media for Switzerland and FremantleMedia for Australia. The UK version is produced by STV Productions.
