Why July Why?

(Of all the buffets in the world, walk into CiCi's Pizza. You'll walk into a variety of pizza and walk out full for less than what other pizza chains have. Online at

VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.

Me: It's time to put you in the right mood. You have your groove on. Back to back, GSN plays what you like. They play a little Tomarken, a little Gleib, a little Shepard and a little Rayburn. Large or small, GSN does it all. And we're about to rip into some of it as we begin.....

The Starting Line.

July is the hottest month of the year opposite January which of course, is coldest, and the network had the best showing for it. says July 2015 is GSN’s most-watched month ever in its 20-year history, in Primetime (8p-11p), in Total Viewers (P2+) and its key demo, Women 25-54. The strength of the network’s original programming in July, including SKIN WARS, IDIOTEST, THE CHASE and CHAIN REACTION, helped deliver the network its most watched month ever in Primetime among Total Viewers (463,000) and Women 25-54 (86,000).

How will August follow suit?

Just up the road ahead, Are people finally having enough of Skin Wars? That answer straight ahead. I said ahead, didn't I?

(song fades out)

(Quick fade out)

Back to our little show here. It seems that people have had enough of bodypainting. Last week, Skin Wars at 9pm ET on GSN received 415,000 total viewers/141,000 18-49 viewers. This is the third straight week Skin Wars has hit a season low, and this week marks a new season and series low. Skin Wars is down 19% in total viewers/down 14% in 18-49 viewers from last week and lower than last season's low, 465,000 total viewers (which occurred on September 3, 2014) by 11%.

However, come this week, this will change. So will Idiotest, in which an all-kid edition will take place that same night.

Sticking with Skin Wars, who wants to hear a story?

The final 6 had to come to a circus-themed challenge. It was no sideshow after all, because Aryn won $5000 worth of accesories. Frank Gatson, who did all the choreography for many stars wanted to judge for this challenge. The team of Lana & Rio did Air, fire & water, Cheryl Ann & Kyle did past, present & future and Avi & Aryn did Birth, life & death. Lana went out with a W while Kyle was knocked back to 2 weeks ago. ANd they all lived.....until the next show.

(song stops)

One little itty bitty house cleaning note: Chain Reaction (Catherwood) will replace Idiotest this Tuesday night (8/4) at 8pm and 8:30pm ET. Family Feud will replace where Chain Reaction was at 9pm and 9:30pm ET. Family Feud will air from 9pm-1am on this night (just like Monday and Friday.)

That means more CR 2015 to kick off a night in prime.

Now a segment in which we all have problems. If we were math, we'd solve it. If we were doctors, we'd file a prescription. If we were Ariana Grande.....then Big Sean would tell you would have one less problem without. But all problems aside, it's.....

Say what you want to say.

Marie Logerfo kicks it off with....

"You should bring back "Rodeo Drive"!"

Uh, judge....

Thanks Buzzard. Diane Roark talks SW now.....

"Skin Wars is one of my favorite programs. I tought it was never coming back. It seemed to be sooo long between seasons. It appears there has to be one arrogant, egotistical, rude, out of touch control freak on every season. Right, Cheryl Ann?"

Hmm, arrogant, egotistical, rude, out of touch.....there's your blind date in a nutshell. Rosalie Parker says....

"I'm a lover of the OLD Chain reaction but I do not like the new version at all. Please bring back the old host."

Was she thinking the original ones or the ones GSN have? I don't know. Hey Michelle Kline, show us your pitch!

"Hello GSN I have a great idea for a new dating game show. It's called "Say Yes to the Butt." Contestants choose a potential mate based solely on the fineness of their booty."

I'll take that as a no. Let's ask Kathy Hall.

"Will Idiotest move to a new time when Steampunk'd premieres August 19th?"

The network will not know just yet. But for now, it's unknown. Wendy Sullivan-Jones isn't believing in one GSN program....

"Skin Wars is a disgusting show. How can you put this crap on during the day or even on the air. Shame on you GSN. Models with their legs spread open to that Rupal was disgusting. Naked models does not make a game show. I will not be watching this nor buying product that sponsors this kind of filth."

So that's the reason why Skin Wars was down in ratings. That figures. We're going to end it with Robert Morris.....

"I'm tired of the same old GSN Feud marathon and do watch Idiottest and a few others, BUT there is a better game show channel that just popped up this month called Buzzr that has programming like GSN used to have.. byebye gsn."

So HE likes Buzzr. Okay.....

(song stops)

Now the 2nd intermission presented by We're proud to partner with Anomaly Podcasts for their Acoustic August month. I call it Anomaly Acoustic August for a reason, because it'll help us get closer to September and closer to fall season. To get started, Summerglen has been on the blog for the 3rd year in a row and each year, they travel to different coffee houses to make an audience go..........happy. Here's one they did at Uptown Bill's, and they bringing the acoustic Uptown Funk....right now!

Still awake? You better be, because it's period 3.

I was reading an article on GSNN's blogspot page on which shows should've deserved a second season, and I seemed to agree with that. So here are 3 revivals that should've had a second season.

1. The Pyramid. Scott Rahner & I agreed with it and we talked about it on Overtime last Friday. If the stars were doing well as did the contestants in a later timeslot, everything would've worked out well.

2. 1 vs. 100 (Inaba)  If carrie Ann had stuck around another season, we would've seen more of the big faceboard instead of actual people in the studio, plus the way the board went took a few problems. That's what caused all this.

3. Minute To Win It. Apolo Anton Ohno would've improved on his hosting and everybody thought the money tree and the fact that ths stunts and the commercial break the way NBC did were the same.

Not in the mood to go home, but the blog says we have to. Today's blog is presented by Autumn Brand's Lullaby service. Call her up and she's bring the violin to soothe you with lullaby classics. Not for children under 12.

Don't forget to email me at,, Pierre Jason Kelly on FB and @Johnny_Arcade on twitter. We levae you know with more Sumerglen when they appeared for the 2nd time at Caritas Village in Binghampton. Play on, playas.
