And now, because you've been a good boy or girl for Christmas in July.....a 30-second song break with Lilbumblebear which begins as soon as I finish my Christmas in July wish list......

Back to the news.

You Bettah Werk....for a talk show......

RuPaul, the Emmy-winning host of "RuPaul's Drag Race" is bringing his personality to the daytime space, filming a talk show pilot for Telepictures, Variety has learned exclusively.

The show is scheduled for a 2019 launch and will be filmed in front of a live audience. The show will feature the host bringing his unique, positive and aspirational point of view to the format, interviewing celebrities, giving beauty and glam tips, playing games, and dishing on pop culture. He's not expected to do cooking or exercise segments, which have been typical daytime fare. Frequent collaborator Michelle Visage is also expected to play a major role.
Telepictures, the Syndication production arm of Warner Bros., is also behind Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, as well as "The Real," which was recently renewed for two seasons. The hope is that his unique flair will help the show stand out, given that other celebrity-driven talk shows have faltered, including efforts from Katie Couric, Meredith Vieira, and HARRY Connick Jr.

But what does it remind you of?

The RuPaul show. Way back in 1996 on VH1 when it was all about music videos....and none of the Love & Hip-hop stuff. If, whatver can do it again....fine.

And as far as RUpaul's Drag race is concerned,  There’s also a Hulu series in development based on his life and an upcoming Netflix show called A.J. and the Queen, not to mention Gay for Play, the Match Game-like Logo game show he’s been hosting for a little over two years, and a recurring role on the fourth season of Broad City. He’s definitely been working on expanding his portfolio over the past few years, and a daytime talk show seems like a natural fit for the onetime host of late ‘90s VH1 talk show The RuPaul Show.
The filming demands of a daytime talk show do seem pretty grueling, especially if it’s producing five new episodes a week. Would this as yet untitled program, should it get picked up, spell the end of RuPaul’s run hosting Drag Race? The show can exist without its titular star, if Drag Race Thailand is anything to go by. We reached out to RuPaul’s agent for comment and will update the story when we hear back.

And now for a Buzz'd Out shameless plug of some sort.....

And now......Break Room Cooking with the Feast of Fiction crew.

And to end the show, let's introduce Killarney Star to the blog. She is from FLorida, a singer and songwriter who by next month is packing everything into an RV and going on the road for a year of house concerts. Bring on Memphis! And she may join the motley crew of people who live in an RV for adventure and leisure and here is one of her songs along with a story behind it.

That's all for now, but remember one thing:  Don't let ABC move the Sunday Fun & Games lineup to Saturday, okay?

So until next time and all the on playas.

Happy.....what day was it again?

This week.....Facebook has a newer game show.....

Good & bad News for Double Dare.....

And we open up the live trivia app glossary.  All this and.....

Why a caisno is giving back to the victims.

Madison Brunoehler: From coast to coast..............

And Across America.....and the world.........this is..............

Now here is America's favorite contestant, Pierre Kelly!!!!!

Me: Thank you Madi2TheMax and this of course is  Game show Live! As live as it gets, as live as it happens and as live whenever you feel like it. Let's get into it with......

 The Opening Toss-Up story.

With Twitter being in the realm of having IQ Trivia, Facebook decided to answer it back with this....

Confetti. JD witherspoon is the host of the program and like's like HQ, but this time how ever, in a medium sized studio instead of being in a small room where the green screen is. To keep the party hyped, DJ Stash cranks up the tunes and from there, you'll be whisked into a 13- question quiz. unlike most quiz apps that run for 10-15 minutes, Confetti runs for a half an hour. The longest of any app. The pot starts out at $5000 and increases $2500 each day. And because HQ only sees your friends answers every single Friday, you'll see the answers every single day. Isn't that neat? And if you can survive the end, you'll split the money. Last Friday had a record of over $40K and with me and my friends, we split $565. That's enough rent if you live in the inner city.....or go on a huge grocery store shopping spree. Or buy that dress your fiance wanted for the wedding. If Confetti continues to do so, a bunch of W9 forms will go our the door to people over $600. That's plenty of money to go around. To do so, go to and get the notifications once you sign up for it.

After this commercial word, Double Dare gets good....and bad. That's.....when Game Show Live! returns.

(fade to break)

Madison: Some members of our viewing audience will receive....

A groumet burger from Red Robin. Think summer has a lot of rain? Try Red Robin and get out of teh rain with a burger and bottomless fries while you watch sports and wait for the rain to stop. Now back to our rain boot swashbuckler, Pierre Kelly!

Me: Thank you Madi and welcome back. Later on, find out why cars go over the cliffs like action movies.

It seems that the all new DOUble Dare is.....doing so well and returning its past glory.

Nickelodeon's Double Dare attracted an average of 1.4 million viewers during its premiere week—making it the most-viewed series on kids' TV this year.
In an indication of the reboot's multi-generational appeal, Double Dare ranked number one in its timeslot among kids and teens between ages 2 and 14 on both impressions and share, and the June 25th premiere was Nick's best series launch among adults 18-49 in more than five years, according to Nielsen*.
The iconic game show, which airs weekdays at 8 pm, is hosted by digital creator and actress Liza Koshy. Each episode features two teams as they battle for prizes through mind-bending trivia questions and physically demanding stunts, including the legendary obstacle course (replete with the human hamster wheel, the wringer, and the Double Dare nose). Original host Marc Summers is back, this time providing color commentary.
"Ratings for the first full week indicate that kids, new viewers and adults alike are showing up for Double Dare and loving it," said Sarah Levy, COO of Viacom Media Networks and interim head of Nickelodeon. "Liza Koshy and Marc Summers have great chemistry. The kid contestants are totally relatable to our audience. And The Loud House lead-in is a winner, ranking at number one with kids on all TV for the week.""

But I Heard a rumor......

...that Viacom might pay up.

A heated competition's brewing over Nickelodeon's "Double Dare," but Viacom -- which owns the popular game show -- isn't playing around ... and filed a lawsuit to prove it.
According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ, a man named Charles Armstrong -- president and CEO of Armstrong Interactive -- filed trademark paperwork in January for "Double Dare" ... months before Nickelodeon aired the reboot of the show on June 25.
Viacom admits in the docs it let its trademarks for "Double Dare" expire in 2001 and 2002, but claims it has continuously used the name since the show's debut in 1986 for TV programming, live events and merch ... therefore, it never lost the rights to the name.
The company also claims Armstrong has a slimy history of squatting on classic kids' TV titles in an "illegal scheme" to "exploit the goodwill of other popular shows" ... including "Wonderama," "Kids Are People Too" and "Romper Room."
Regardless, Armstrong allegedly fired off a cease and desist letter to Viacom in May, warning the media company that if it went ahead with its relaunch of "Double Dare" ... it would be doing so "at its own risk" of legal action. Viacom risked it and, along with airing the reboot ... is now suing Armstrong to get a judge to declare that "Double Dare" belongs -- and always has -- to Nickelodeon.

Can't fight fate. Because....

MTV today announced that its popular dating competition series will return as "Are You The One? Season of Fate." Hosted by Terrence J., the new season will premiere on Wednesday, August 8th at 10:00PM ET/PT.
The summer heats up when 22 singles jet off to Hawaii to undergo the series' signature matchmaking process in hopes of finding their "perfect match" and splitting a $1 million cash prize. "Are You The One?" tackles the question, "If your perfect match was standing right in front of you, would you even know it?"
This season the contestants have one thing in common: dysfunctional relationship habits. With the help of Terrence J., these singles will try to find their pre-selected partners as determined by a rigorous process carried out by a team of professional matchmakers and psychologists. The new "Season of Fate" will introduce a "Fate Button." In previous seasons, the contestants were able to go on dates with the person of their choosing by winning challenges. This time, the "Fate Button" will determine which couples will go on dates and ultimately play a role in who enters the "Truth Booth." Contestants will not only have to surrender to the matchmaking process, but also put their faith in fate to find their perfect match.
Terrence J., actor, producer, author and philanthropist, is widely recognized as one of Hollywood's most skilled multi-hyphenates. The three-time Emmy(R) nominee and seven-year host on BET's "106 & Park" is also executive producer and host of MTV's "SafeWord."

School is out and kids are on summer break, but the talents of nine young bakers will be put to the test as they enter the Kids Baking Championship, beginning on Monday, August 6th at 9pm ET/PT.
Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman return on the new season to challenge the skills of the bakers, ranging in age from 10 to 13, in difficult dessert trials to see who will make it to the top tier of the competition. Only one will take the cake and the sweet grand prize of $25,000, a feature in Food Network Magazine, and the title of Kids Baking Champion!
"Our viewers can't seem to get enough of Kids Baking Championship with more than 10 million viewers tuning in last season," said Allison Page, President, Food Network and HGTV. "The new season promises exciting new challenges featuring the latest dessert trends, lots of irresistible sweets, and tons of fun!"
Throughout the seven-week season, the kid contestants show off their skills and creativity as they whisk through new confectionary challenges, from gravity-defying cakes, to outrageous ice cream sandwiches using any sweet treat except cookies. The classic imposter dessert challenge returns as well with a new surprising Italian twist, and the bakers will also have to tackle other delectable desserts including creative cakes, bite-sized sweets and scrumptious snacks.

This next story is more than 25 words, so here goes.....

Meredith Vieira, former longtime host of the syndicated Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, has been tapped to host and produce 25 Words or Less, a new celebrity/civilian game show that is getting a three-week summer trial run on several Fox Television stations. Set to debut August 6, the half-hour show has a strong celebrity backing: It's a collaboration of Lisa Kudrow, Dan Bucatinsky, Mary McCormack, Michael Morris, Bruce Sterten — creator of the board games 25 Words or Less and Taboo — and John Quinn, who serves as showrunner.
"The most popular game shows are often defined by their iconic hosts — that's why we are so excited to have Meredith host 25 Words or Less," said Stephen Brown, EVP Programming and Development at Fox TV Stations.
"As host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Meredith became the longest-standing female game show host in history. In everything she does, she brings humor, intelligence and an overall sense of fun that we think will make this a great game show series."
25 Words or Less pits two teams comprised of celebrities and civilians against each other in a fast-paced word game with a top prize of $10,000. In the beginning rounds of the game, after a frenzied bidding session, one team member provides clues to two partners to help them guess a list of five words using fewer than 25 clue words. In the final round, the contestant who has earned the most points has 60 seconds to get his partners to guess 10 words using only 25 words or less.
"I'm so excited to host this game," Vieira said. "It's fun, fast and forces contestants to choose their words carefully. Add in celebrities, you've got a party!" 25 Words or Less will air on Fox-owned stations in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Charlotte. This is the second consecutive year that the Fox Stations are testing game show formats over the summer, following IWitness and Punchline, which had limited runs last year..

More metal munching madness is headed to Science Channel as the network has picked up rights to air the robot fighting series ROBOT WARS.
Filmed in an enormous bulletproof fighting arena that contains dangerous hazards such as fire, spikes, the flipper and the iconic pit, 40 of the top robot combat teams from all over the world compete for Robot Wars supremacy. ROBOT WARS is set for its U.S. premiere on Wednesday, August 8 at 10pm ET/PT.
Not only do the robot teams battle it out against each other, they also must avoid the intimidating House Robots, which are three times heavier than the competition's robots. Aiming to terminate anything that strays into their Corner Patrol Zone - Sir Killalot, Matilda, Shunt and Dead Metal show no mercy as they menacingly patrol the arena ready to destroy.
"The mind-blowing metallic mayhem of ROBOT WARS stretches the laws of physics and engineering to their limits," said Marc Etkind, General Manager, Science Channel. "This incredibly fun take on robot fighting showcases some of the world's brightest and most innovative bot-builders." ROBOT WARS aired for nine seasons from 1998-2004 before returning to BBC2 in 2016. It is produced by Mentorn Scotland and SJP Media. Christine Nussbaum serves as producer for Science Channel.

Time for a Gamestop Game Break. Solve this crossword clue for me. What's a 9-letter word for a waxlike substance that originates as a secretion in the intestines of the sperm whale, found floating in tropical seas and used in perfume manufacture?

Find out after a Google Play Music interlude from The Ashley Sisters. Like the Judds, they're a country rock duo and this tune right here is the truth.

Now the answer: It's Ambergris. Ambergris has been mostly known for its use in creating perfume and fragrance much like musk. Perfumes can still be found with ambergris around the world. It is collected from remains found at sea and on beaches, although its precursor originates from the sperm whale, which is a vulnerable species. Think about it when you check the cosmetics section at Macy's.

We are about to open....The Live trivia app glossary. These are the meanings and sayings made up by people who play every trivia app. Today it's.....

Sausage Biscuit: A correct answer that's in the middle but answered by a few people while the other answers the rest aid are wrong.

Let's use it in a sentence: I handed a sausage biscuit Sharon Carpenter and it tasted like it came form London.

Tune in again for the live trivia app glossary. The least....educational part of your blog.

That's it for this week. Today's consolation prize is a subscription to Roblox. Now with even more parental controls.

Don't forget to email me at, Pierre Jason Kelly on FB and @Johnny_Arcade on twitter. Also I'm on Snapchat as MisterGSN and Instagram as Mister_WCW. We will return next Wednesday, and until we return, Play on playas.
