Road Tired

VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.

Me: It's tiem to take the principles of GSN in business and make it do what it do.  Welcome one & all to GSN The Know. We start with....

The starting Line.

In the history of GSN, there had been 4 chases. The 5th will take place on......
January 27th.

In it, one episode features 3 former chasers getting revenge at The Beast. Also, 2 celebrity editions will take place. Come January 27th, it'll be a whole lot of fun.......well, not a lot of fun.

About to break, but after this, BOTR reviews and the start of a brand new weekly countdown. If you'll excuse me, I'll listen to Tristan Prettyman while you watch this.

(Song fades out)

(Quick fade out)

Oh, you had to download some indie pop stuff while we're gone, because right now, our review of Baggage On The Road. If you didn't know what it is, it's the newest Baggage GSN aired for the first time since it last got cancelled not too long ago. Let me give you a review haiku on it.

Maybe it was.....let's try......

The review.....revue.  Schott Rahner of GSNN Tells us this.....

I loved the original version of Baggage and still occasionally watch the reruns. I really do not think I will give Baggage On The Road another chance. I gave the Lingo (2011) revival all forty episodes (and I would have given it a second season), The Pyramid was good and I sat through most episodes and Minute to Win It was also good. But Baggage On The Road just seems like a tamer, nicer-in-a-bad-way, more boring, scripted and less enthusiastic version of the original.

Agreed. Casey Abell of Game Show Follies tell us....

Baggage of any kind is very mild compared to Jerry's other show. There are no fisticuffs, and everybody acts halfway mature. The dating epic has always been cheesy fun, and these college eps appear to continue the cheesily enjoyable tradition.

O......kay. Moving on.

All the Anonymous comments were restored after 2 weeks time on an account of bad language and bullying. That was on the GSNN blogspot page. They put up guidelines to keep the mess to a minimum. Let's look at them.

Failure to do so will be removed. Same goes for this here blog. Now let's do...

The GSN Closet. New wardobe, same thoughts.

Now the 2nd intermisison presented by One of my favorite artists is Ingrid Michaelson and her music never fails to disappoint. Here she is doing a rendition of a popular theme song.

Okay, on to period 3.
GSN The Know is proud to have.....
Every week, we'll pick an original from the past and discuss what it's about. This is to continue the celebration of GSN turning 20 last month. We start things off with #20:
Before he went behind teh mic once held by Johnny Olsen and Rod Roddy, before he did The Weakest Link in syndication, and before Junkyard Wars......
He did Extreme Gong. That person was George Gray. In an interactive version of the classic Chuck Barris classic, he introduced acts that asked viewers to keep it know. In 2 seasons, GSN knew when to push the envelope..............and it did. Girls in bikinis, comedic actors, you name it. It was all live and nothing seemed to care about it. Really tho. But George Gray had this as his launhcing pad and it was the start of his career. Even the band was okay. Don't believe me, check Game Show Garbage and see why. So to Extreme Gong, you are.....
Number Twenty.  Join us next week for another entry in the countdown.

Kill the lights, we're done. Today's blog is presented by Agent Carter. She's got a hidden identity and you don't.
Don't forget to email me at,, Pierre Jason Kelly on FB and @Johnny_Arcade on twitter. We'll see you later and play on, playas.
