Overtime #10: Reunited and it feels....kinda weird.

VO: This is Overtime. More about the network you know & trust. Here now Pierre Kelly.

Me: Come on in and gather around. I'm here to give you the 3 shows of 2004 that was left alone in this year's class reunion. It was indeed a network of change, so let's look at them.

1. Kenny vs. Spenny
A Canadian competition that features a bff showdown over embarrassing stuff you would never try at home. Although it was comedy rather than game unlike MOAM today, the show later went on another network and continued until 2010. It was a laugh riot all around.

2. GSN Video Games
This was an attempt to get into the mainstream by airing Starcade or Video Power, but alas, it was just video game programming like the ones you used to see on G4. And it was hosted by Carmen Nicole. Boy, was she hot?

3. Vegas Weddings Unveiled
This was hosted by reality star Darva Conger and featured....well, what else, Las Vegas weddings, from quicker to longer. GSN couldn't take all 3 anymore and pulled the plug on each one. Way to go, idiots.

I may now pronounce you lock & key. Let's close this episode and return next week with something the network has in store. Play on, playas.

Change is bad, mmkay?

(Before you order the homewrecker, put guacamole in your chips and add a drink to it, the employees will say this to you.....WELCOME TO MOE'S!!!!!!)

VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.

Me: Hello. We begin with sad news in our newsroom.

Classical -  Chopin - Funeral March:

It's the end of an era for Hilty. The Son of the Bronx blogspot site had this to say:

"However, Blogger has recently began removing my recent to infringe on copyrights, with more removals to come.

Despite numerous references to sources of ratings inform blog post), it seems they are not enough grounds to coun

Therefore, I must unfortunately halt these ratings lists he

But I am still reachable at my Twitter @SonOfTheBronx a ratings requests."

There went the first period. The corner piece of the blog. We've had good shows and bad shows, and Family Feud nearly dominated the last 2 years and no signs of stopping it. Until we find another source for ratings, we'll give it to you.

(Song stops)

Nonetheless, I filled in with a new segment to fill the first entitled:

The Starting Line. This is where big stories from GSN come in.

This past week, Bible had to put on a show, and hoping to continue where it left off, over 500k people watched the big premiere hoopla. Why was it a hit to the head for most viewers? Later on GTK, The reactions to that story.

(Song stops)

And it's getting close to June, so here's your Yay & Yawn of May.

The Yay: MOAM finally gone. Skin Wars, you're next.

The Yawn: Physical games returning to Bible. Was that the reason viewers didn't like it at first?

Break time and afterwards, the premiere of The Chase and a moment that made GSN fans cry. All after this.

(Song fades out)

1994 Betty Crocker Dunkaroos Commercial #1:

(Quick fade out)

Hey. We're back. The Chase will be on in late July according to Brooke Burns' Twitter account. The show was taping 13 episodes this year and has become a new monster hit.

However, it's...Worth a look. Also from Twitter, The Beast and Brooke were relaxing behind a green screen for a commercial. You can find that on our group page.

Let's talk more about what I said in the first quarter for proof....

Source: SonoftheBronx Twitter

Douglas Pucci reports the first new episode of American Bible Challenge scored 636,000 total viewers at 8pm Eastern and the second new episode scored 574,000 total viewers at 9pm Eastern.

The first episode is down 45% from the Season 2 premiere (March 21, 2013) which had 1.152 million viewers.

That is a huge backswing from last year, but it's always good numbers for what was once a hit show.

And finally, of the 58 Marathons on cable TV, GSN did a Steve Harvey feud-a-thon this past memorial day. Makes you think.

Time for the 2nd intermission presented by Here comes one last 2004 hit.....

R. Kelly - Happy People:

Okay, to the final period. Ten years ago, the change that made GSN viewers think. From one change to another, it's a moment to live by.

The End of Game Show Network and birth of GSN (Ma…:

And today's blog is presented by mood rings. Any GSN fan can't watch GSN without one.
