That old Twin Magic Has me in its spell....

(Hey Ladies, It's SDCC week. So wear your gear with pride, dignity, respect and geek cred. Get to right NOW!)

VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.

Me: Why Hello everybody. This is GSN The Know. Your all access pass you have attached to your lanyard around your neck. As you grant access to it, you look around. As you enter, a world of GSN surrounds you. Now we're going to surround you with all the GSN stuff you need as we begin this week's blog. Let's start with....

The Starting Line.

The 2 you're looking at right here are the Soska Sisters. They recently were chosen to be elevator operators of Hellevator starting this fall and we're pretty sure they are sexier than the Bella Twins....or the Merrell Twins for you Youtube freaks. Here's more about them.

Born on April 29th, Jen & Sylvia started their love of horror after their mom begging them to watch the 1982 Steven Spielberg horror classic, "Poltergeist." They later entered into the horror movie genre making their first film, "Dead Hooker In a Trunk," which cost $2500 to make it. Fans of the geek genre and pro wrestling, they are also directors and producers and have ran their own company which is....

So I expect them to watch these 2 in the upcoming Hellevator series this fall on the network and I'm pretty sure you can too.

In just a minute, we reveal the 5 finalists on GSN's best original of all-time. You won't have access to it until after this break.

(song fades out)

(Quick fade out)

Back with more of this total access you want from GSN. Recently, Skin Wars took out a sunday rerun....for more Feud.  One reaction sent shockwaves across the nation and I was going to read a poem to you, but I left is somehwere......ah, here it is.

Hey, I just met you...
And this is crazy....

So here's my HD Vision sunglasses....

Comment it, maybe?

Scott Rahner of GSNN Blogspot's page reacts to waht just happened there.

"Skin Wars did not work out in the 8pm slot. I doubt anything else would besides Family Feud. I doubt everybody is going to flock to ABC for Celebrity Family Feud. I'll be curious to see the rarings for this coming Sunday.

Also take into account ABC has a west coast feed while GSN does not. So the West Coasters will stay tuned to Harvey Feud with no Celebrity Feud competition (Baggage airs when Celebrity Feud on the west coast airs on ABC at 11pm ET/8pm PT)."

Guess they wanted to stick to the new ones on midweek. Adam Lentz however, buzzes in with this:

"It was funny at first, now it is annoying as heck. And you have to admit this, the p---- jokes are so old that you won't manage to laugh at them anymore. While I like Harvey, I sometimes watch Dawson, Combs, Karn, and O Hurley episodes on YouTube and I think to myself, this show is a whole, whole lot different when those 4 men hosted. I avoid the Anderson era because people said he was dreadful. But yet, while Dawson and Combs hosted, ratings were so high. Karn's ratings were respectable and O Hurley was fine up until the 09-10 season is when things started to look bleak. But when Harvey came along, we would all have thought that with him, the show would be dead once again. And I hope I don't get slammed for this, but I think the whole look of the show changed when Harvey took over.

There were more sexual questions and body related questions that it made long time viewers want to throw up. But, ratings were on its way back up. And while the questions got spicer, ratings got hotter. Sure, the questions and answers related to sex and body parts got repetitive, but ratings were improving. What I'm saying is this, with the ratings roll that Feud is on roll now, I think it is all thanks to not only Steve Harvey, but questions related to sex or bodily functions."

You're right, Adam. Feud was funny at first, but now the humor feels out of place sometimes. If O' Hurley wasn't acting boring had the Bullseye not come in during it's final season, things went okay. So why did it come like Combs did to raise ratings? One poster says this to wrap the segment up:

"For better or worse, the producers seem to be catering to the hip young and majority black crowd. It's strange that the black population is 15-20% of our country but on Family Feud it's darn close to 50%. I'm not saying this is wrong, but it is unfair in this day of equality. And the answer is so Steve can kinda get into a jive with these contestants. I saw another poster put up how he can change his demeanor from being a cool hip black guy when the contestant is a young hip black dude to serious businessman type in a split second when he goes over to a white family. Again, nothing wrong w/ this but either he is more comfortable w/ his own culture or a great actor. Finally Feud is doing it's best to appeal to the 12-35 group obviously. The d--- jokes are jr. high level and you can tell they are playing for that 'shocking' answer so Steve can look horrified. I can barely watch the show, but being in my 40s they aren't catering to me. I hope next year we don't get sexual puzzles on WoF like movie title category...Inspect Her Gadget of Willie Bonker at the Chocolate Factory."

Um....those 2 puzzles the poster mentioned sound like adult films, but it doesn't make sense. Wheel is family friendly, much like Idiotest and Chase.  So I'm guessing why is Steve acting of his race with a black family and being cool the next with a white family? I still do not know. But a twitter birdie told me that next week in the 3rd period, we will talk about the race card on Harvey Feud and why it's playing an important role in the program itself.

Sticking with Idiotest, it'll replace The Chase....on Tuesdays at 7 CDT. Really? I mean, 7 pm was a time when The Chase was on and everybody, I mean everybody liked it. Now Idiotest replaces it. Why? To make more of what Ben Gleib has as a star of this show. Replacing Idiotest at 9 guessed it. Family Feud.

Even more Idiotest-related stuff. That & Skin Wars took a week off to hold a BBQ at Geoff Edwards Memorial Park, but.....

That didn't stop the ring master of the tests by being on the Today Show for the 3rd time ever. Prior to that, Mike Catherwood of Chain Reaction appeared on the same exact show. It makes you want to watch GSN a lot more.

And lastly, it's about that time for.....

The GSN Closet. Where it's okay to nail artwork to nail art.

(song stops)

Now the 2nd intermission presented by I want to introduce you to Nicole Arbour. She's a canadian, but more recently, she tackled an experiment. She created the first music video....on Periscope. This app was one of the first people I spoke to via chat keyboard on my phone touchscreen. Now that it's up, Nicole, introduce yourself to the GSN audience, please.

And the revolution isn't complete. Time for the 3rd period.
Through all 6 months and one week in July, we've been on a journey to count down the 20 greatest originals on GSN ever seen. Now it comes down to the final 5. First of all, this had to be tough. It had to come down to which ones I had to get rid of and which ones I kept, But I did it. No lying there and now we reveal the lineup. The candidates. The finalists in a fight to find the one true GSN original ever. Keep in mind, it's in alphabetical order and if the countdown ended today, it's a different story, but that's not offical, because you will make it official. We'll get to that momentarily, but right about now.......The Final 5!
The American Bible Challenge
Catch 21
The Chase
Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck
There they are. The final 5. It was tough to do it, but it was all based on the experience GSN gets from its fans. And now you have the power in your hands. On the week before Labor Day, I will give you the same list on our FB group page, the Game Show News page, the Game SHow Fever Chat page as does the Game Show Network Vintage page and vote on which one do you think is the greatest original of all-time. Then, by November, we will resume the countdown and based on  your votes we annouce how well you ranked based on it. Then, at the GTK Know-It-All Awards in December, we reveal the big one. The one original GSN is known for. So you got the rest of July and August to think about your decisions. Chose carefully, because the one original in the top slot will get bragging rights forever and will be immortalized as the true GSN original. Good luck the week before Labor Day!
