GTK Overtime #6: You're so G-R-E-A-T!

VO: This is Overtime. More about the network you know & trust. Here now is Pierre Kelly.

Me: It is on and popping everybody, Pierre Kelly doing Overtime early, because it's normally the last Friday of every month, but we're doing it a week early because of your Thanksgiving holiday plans. This will be the last of the year until January, because we're doing our annual GTK Know-it-All awards next month. I'll give you the nominees and who'll perform there next week the day before Thanksgiving. Now we get to today's subject. It was a road to redemption for Bill Engvall in DWTS-land. Prior to that, it all started with his ability to host a game show....

But that was 2 yeras ago. This year, he took the chance to get to the ballroom and not many would have him gone by the first week. Soon as that happened, he did a foxtrot.....

He scored 18 and was off to an average start. Next week came and he did a jive....

He wanted to be gone by then, but Keyshawn Johnson was out. Bill survived and Movie week came along as he danced a paso doble to "The Lone Ranger."

His score improved to 24 and he went on to another week where Julianne Hough took Len's spot and he did a samba.

21 was the score and next week was the Most Memorable year. He then did a vienesse waltz.....

And scored 24 as a result. The Switch-up Challenge came in and he did a tango to a Jimmy Buffett song....

And came back with a check that read 23 points with a tip for 1 point in 1 team that involved Jack Osbourne, Snooki form Jersey Shore and Corbin Bleu. But something amiss happened.....

You read right, Tom & Brooke. So Team Dance week came along and he did a quickstep to Elvis.

By that time, he went on to be a part of a freestyle dance team with Elizabeth Berkley, Leah Remini and Snooki from last week, but he survived another elimination and Snooki was gone. Legendary entertainer Cher took over the ballroom and they did a disco routine.

After a score of 24, he participated in a disco dance-off with Jack and lost in a sweep. However, he recovered nicely in a Trio challenge in which he did a wacky charleston first.....

and a tasty salsa.

He was the last one safe yet again. The semifinals came and he did "Sexy & I Know IT" as a cha-cha....

and as an argentine tango.

Yet again, he was the last survivor and now he's into the finals. Let's hope he'll be the survivor of the ballroom with a mirrorball trophy.

That's it, kids. We'll return the day before Thanksgiving with a turkey-stuffed GTK. We leave you now with Noah Gutrie and his hit that shook the world. Play on, playas.

Mall Cops

(You're getting close to the holidays, so get to Hobby Lobby for all the things you want like Travel Bingo....yarn.....CHristmas decorations and more. Hobby Lobby is where you want to go. And let's get going with another blog.)

VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.

Me: Time to begin this experiment we know call GTK, nice to be with you here. It's about time you talk about GSN and only GSN as we begin the first quarter. Hilty, blow it off, please.

Family Feud took the top 3, but tied for 3rd was The Pyramid and Feud went in 5th, Catch 21 in 6th, Chain Reaction getting 7 & 8 and Feud in 9 and 10. Now the ones who get blown away.

DED went first and The Pyramid was next, but Family Feud was sandwiched between Baggage and MTWI came afterwards. Password Plus was stacked in between A couple of Baggage shows and a single Feud to round it out. Eyeballs, anyone? Anyone?
This Week, Viewership in Prime went down 300k yet again.  So did the entire day, but down by just 10k. That's the first period. Hilty blow it to the trash can.

And we break away for just a second, because after this, new shows for December and my thoughts on next week's marathons. So get yourself some water and come back.

(song fades out)

(quick fade out)
We're back and new changes to take place the last week in November and Decmeber and going forward. First....

Effective Saturday, November 30th through the remainder of December:*The Chase gets the 8pm slot; replacing Dog Eat Dog (The Chase double-run 8-10pm)

And as the calendar flips to December....

Effective Sunday, December 1st and forward:*Steve Harvey's Family Feud at 6pm; replacing Minute to Win It (Ohno)
*The Newlywed Game (Shepherd) from 7pm to 11:30pm; replacing The Chase, 1 vs 100 and Minute to Win It
*The Chase at 11:30pm; replacing The Newlywed Game
*1 vs 100 (Saget) at 12:30am; replacing Steve Harvey's Family Feud
*Love Triangle at 1:30am; replacing The $100,000 Pyramid

But then....something abound happens.

Effective Monday, December 2nd and forward:*Blockbusters (Cullen) at 9am; replacing Super Password
*Syndicated Sale of the Century at 10am
*Shop 'Til Your Drop at 12-1pm; 4-5pm; replacing Karn Feud
*Richard Karn Family Feud at 5-6pm; replacing the John O'Hurley version

Blockbusters decide to come back with Cullen's version taking Super Password out of the schedule. Syndie $ale will make a permanent spot after a taste of next week's Black Friday marathon which will get to in the 3rd period and Karn Feud will move from lunchtime to late afternoons kicking Hurley out.  One more change to go....

Effective December 16-20 (and I'm guessing December 23-27 as well):*At 3-4am, What's My Line? and I've Got a Secret; replacing Baggage

With new shows for GSN, we'll have our annual overnight B&W experiment. Any idea why it runs once a year? I don't know. BTW, Bible will be on December 22nd replacing MTWI in which.....Ohno's version ran out of time. As for Feud....they're still playing, steve!

On to this article:

GSN gets sued?

Not quite. It's gaming division try to acquire Bash Gaming, known for Bingo Bash and others for no more than $160 Million dollars. The people behind that game was making a deal with someone else.

And finally, Mind of a Man won't be until January, but to get you set, here's one photo peek of a set Flasher took just to make sure.

On to the 2nd intermission presented by How do you do acapella by yourself? Just ask Heather Traska and she'll tell you. Watch.

And I say we move to the 3rd period.
Next week, Family Feud will have every host. I can't believe why Anderson didn't come to GSN, but for this 1-day only appearance, I want to see why he did well. As for Roker, that's a different story, he'll be there, too. I wonder why Celebrity Family Feud didn't last longer. As for tomorrow, Syndie $ale will make a taste of what's to come next month. I'm glad they got rid of the final eps ever, bu syndie $ale was what fans wanted and they got it. As for the All-steve marathon the rest of the day.......I won't talk about it.
And today's blog was brought to you by French Horn players. They made you wish you'd take a nap, but you wouldn't.
Don't forget to email me at,, Pierre Jason Kelly on FB and @Johnny_Arcade on twitter. We'll see you later and play on, playas.
