The  Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.

A slew of broadcast networks and streamers are battling it out to pass go on an unscripted TV adaptation of classic board game Monopoly.

The project, which comes from Hasbro Entertainment, has been heating up the reality TV marketplace in recent weeks.

The Monopoly series is looking to bring the legendary game to the real world in a large-scale social-experiment contest. Strategy, alliances and cutthroat competition will collide as contestants battle for fortune and navigate the fine line between capitalism and chaos. Players will test their friendships, acquire riches and try to own it all by any means necessary.

Hasbro said that around a half-billion copies of the game have been sold in more than 100 countries around the world since 1935, when the Parker Brothers began licensing the game for sale outside of the U.S. In 2023, Scopely released Monopoly Go!, a mobile game.

This is not the first go-around for televised Monopoly, as a game show aired in the summer of 1990 and again as a lottery-based game in 2015.

A Kentucky Bus Driver.

bus driver in Kentucky went far above and beyond the call of duty when he saw one of his regular riders in distress.

A child named Levi was crying when driver Larry Farrish Jr. arrived at his stop.

“Normally when I pull up, he’s standing there waiting for me with a big smile, but on this day, he was sitting on the ground with a jacket over his head,” Farrish Jr., 35, tells TODAY.com. “I asked him, ‘Hey buddy, what’s going on? What’s wrong?’”

It turned out that today was Pajama Day at Engelhard Elementary School, but Levi didn’t have any, so he was going to miss out on all the fun. He told Farrish Jr. the predicament he found himself in before he slunk to the back of the bus away from his friends.

“I thought, ‘I gotta fix this,” Farrish Jr. said, adding that he went to Family Dollar and picked up two pairs before rushing back to Engelhard and surprising Levi in class.

“I said, ‘You were hurting this morning, you were crying, so I got you these pajamas,” Farrish Jr. recalls. “He was so excited — you should’ve seen how his face lit up.”

Levi hugged the pajamas close to his chest and thanked his bus driver warmly, saying that he “did a happy cry.”

TODAY reports that Farrish Jr. had been both a truck driver and correctional officer but has found his calling with driving children to school. The school, located in Louisville, shared the story on their Facebook page, leading to a flood of Pro-Larry comments—with all agreeing the world could use more of him.

And commiserations to......

A London tour guide.

Me: “So the clock tower is—”

Tourist: *Interrupting.* “Why do you keep calling it a clocktower?”

Me: “Because… that’s what it is? It’s a tower with a clock on it.”

Tourist: “Where?!”

Hoping this is a joke or the tourist is short-sighted.

Me: “The giant… uh… clock? It’s on every side of the building, so there are four of them. With the numbers and the dials…”

Tourist: “Wait… that’s a clock?!”

Me: “Yes.”

Tourist: “How the heck are you supposed to be able to tell the time from that?!”

Some of the other tourists on the tour are giggling or looking a bit awkward.

Me: “Well… this isn’t usually part of the tour, but the short dial indicates the hour of the day, and the long dial indicates how many minutes.”

Tourist: “Where are the numbers?!”

Me: “It uses Roman numerals.”

Tourist: “The Romans built it?”

Me: “No, I… I will be happy to answer some questions about it after the tour.”

Tourist: “I still don’t get how it’s a clock—”

Tourist’s Friend: “—Oh my god, Brenda, did you think that Big F****** Ben was going to be digital?!”

Thanks for taking the time to pick the winners and losers. You deserve this.

(Canned applause)

Jane McDonald has been dealt a blow just as she was announced as the host of The Soap Awards. The singer and TV presenter, 61, has been found cruising on Channel 5 in recent years.

However, Jane secretly swapped her luxury boats for a shinny studio floor as she hosted an episode of iconic game show Pyramid. The format was given an hour-long episode by bosses in 2023 that was never planned for broadcast. It took place in MediaCity studios in Manchester in front of a studio audience with Jane at the helm. However, The Sun has learnt the show won't be commissioned for a full series by ITV.

An insider said: "Jane is a brilliant broadcaster and worked really well on the pilot, and the contestants loved her.

"It's not unusual for pilots not to be given a full series and it's certainly not a reflection on Jane. "She's well respected by ITV, who have signed her up to host the rebooted Soap Awards this year."

The Chase star Jenny Ryan was also involved in the pilot, with Jane posting a behind-the-scenes snap with The Vixen star on social media.

Pyramid aired in the UK on ITV for five series between 1981 and 1990 under the name The Pyramid Game with Steve Jones as host. It was rebooted by digital channel Challenge in 2007 for one series with Donny Osmond at the helm.

Just like the US version - which is still on air today - it sees two teams composing of one celebrity and the other a civilian. Against the clock, they have to convey mystery words and phrases in a certain category to win money.

he.......is back.

From 2017 to 2019, New York comedian Scott "Quiz Daddy" Rogowsky hosted HQ Trivia, a popular app-based game show where participants answered increasingly difficult multiple-choice questions. Each day, hundreds of thousands of fans took part in hopes of splitting a jackpot of sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars—but soon after, the fad collapsed.

Now, eight years since Rogowsky first auditioned for HQ Trivia, the brokerage Robinhood is bringing Rogowsky back to host its own game show.

After markets close on Wednesday, users of Robinhood’s app will receive a notification inviting them to play a game called "Robinhood Trivia Live."

Like HQ Trivia, players will answer increasingly difficult multiple-choice questions, and those who correctly answer all 12 will split a prize pool of $1 million in Bitcoin. The game show will repeat on Thursday for members of Robinhood Gold, the company’s paid subscription service. Winners will again split $1 million in Bitcoin, but all participants will receive an undisclosed gift of Dogecoin.

"I've done a lot of different hosting gigs over the last six years," Rogowsky told Fortune in a video call from Toy Fair, a convention in New York where he was promoting his own party game. "But, in terms of recreating that HQ type of experience, this definitely hews closest."

Rogowsky even plans to whip out his HQ Trivia–era catchphrase: "Let's get down to the nitty-gritty!"

Robinhood’s launch of an HQ Trivia–like quiz show isn’t permanent. "Right now, we actually aren't committing to this being a recurring thing," Dheerja Kaur, Robinhood’s vice president of product, told Fortune. "We actually want to see how it does."
