The  Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.

When all of the christmas decorations are done for and the confetti on Times Square  the week after that is done away with in December, 2024 will give you a year full of miracles and surprises starting with Fox.

Fox is looking to March for the return of its scripted slate.

The network has unveiled its midseason schedule including the return of The Cleaning Lady, Alert: Missing Persons Unit and Animal Control. The trio of scripted shows are premiering at the beginning of March following the writers and actors strike.

Elsewhere, Family Guy is moving to a midweek slot on Wednesdays after Animal Control, building out another comedy hour. It is thought to be the first time since the third season that Peter Griffin and family have aired midweek on Fox.

It comes after it pushed 9-1-1: Lone Star to the 2023/24 fall schedule alongside new series Doc and Rescue Hi-Surf, which had previously been eyed for a 2022/23 launch. No sign of the second season of Accused, however.

Fox's returning scripted series come as it has set new dates for a swathe of reality series returning in midseason including The Masked Singer, Celebrity Name That Tune, Next Level Chef and Farmer Wants A Wife as well as the launch of new unscripted shows The Floor and We Are Family.

Its animation lineup including season 4 of The Great North has also set their return as well as TMZ Investigates and America's Most Wanted, which is back for a second season of its revival.

Fox's midseason schedule comes as networks including NBC and ABC set theirs. NBC is bringing back its Dick Wolf-exec produced shows including One Chicago franchise and the Law & Order dramas in mid-January, while ABC is bringing back most of its scripted shows such as Abbott Elementary, Will Trent, The Rookie and The Good Doctor in February followed by 9-1-1, Grey's Anatomy and Station 19 in March.

The Cleaning Lady, which is returning for its third season, Alert, which is back for its second season and Animal Control, which is also returning with its second season, are all going back into production early next month.

Élodie Yung-fronted The Cleaning Lady returns on Tuesday March 5 at 8pm, moving from its previous Monday night slot. Alert: Missing Persons Unit will air the same night at 9pm, having similarly aired on Mondays.

Animal Control, starring Joel McHale, returns on March 6 at 9pm, after The Masked Singer. It will be followed by Family Guy, which will air on Tuesday night at 9:30pm.

The Floor launches January 2, We Are Family, hosted by Anthony Anderson and his mother Doris Bowman, launches January 3, I Can See Your Voice also comes back January 3, Next Level Chef is back January 28 and Farmer Wants A Wife is back on February 1.

In animation, Fox kicks off with a special preview of Jon Hamm-voiced Grimsburg on Sunday January 7 after the NFL doubleheader followed by Krapopolis, Bob's Burgers and season 4 of The Great North.

NBC is ushering in 2024 with a diverse midseason lineup that promises a mix of unscripted thrills, new and returning comedies and compelling dramas, according to the network.

"This season brings fresh takes on favorites from the first double-chair on 'The Voice,' a new spin on 'America's Got Talent' and a tropical setting for 'Deal or No Deal Island,' as well as the return of last season's top comedy 'Night Court,' Jon Cryer's return to network television with 'Extended Family' and the much-anticipated return of #OneChicago and the 'Law & Order' franchise – all of which continue to establish NBC as a destination for our loyal fans," said Frances Berwick, Chairman, NBCUniversal Entertainment in a statement.

Before ringing in the new year, the premiere of the Jon Cryer comedy "Extended Family" is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 23, at 8 p.m. The show explores the post-divorce co-parenting journey of Jim and Julia, played by Jon Cryer and Abigail Spencer. While navigating the challenges of raising kids together, the pair will experience the complications of juggling new relationships. The series brings a lighthearted take on modern family dynamics.

Kicking off on New Year's Day, "America's Got Talent: Fantasy League" introduces a fresh spin to the popular talent franchise. Judges Mel B, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel engage in friendly competition as they draft their fantasy teams from "America's Got Talent" and "Got Talent" franchises worldwide. The show promises unique talent, unexpected moments, and the suspense of the audience voting for their favorites.

Premiering on Monday, Feb. 26, at 9:30 p.m., "Deal or No Deal Island" offers a unique twist to the iconic game show. Hosted by Joe Manganiello, the series transports 13 contestants to a private island where they compete for millions hidden in more than 100 briefcases through challenges and dilemmas. The last player standing faces the Banker for a chance to win the biggest prize in "Deal or No Deal" history.

And that is followed by the alphabet network.

ABC has set return dates for its scripted series, joining CBS in laying out a post-strikes lineup that will see the likes of Abbott Elementary, Grey's Anatomy and new addition 911 join the schedule in early 2024.

The broadcast network will also have a handful of unscripted staples — American Idol, The Bachelor and Judge Steve Harvey — and a 20/20-branded true-crime series from ABC News to round out its midseason slate.

With most shows not starting production until after Thanksgiving, the episode counts for scripted series will be smaller than in a typical year — 10 to 13 episodes, as opposed to between 16 and 22.

ABC's Wednesday comedy block of The Conners, Not Dead Yet and Abbott Elementary will be the first scripted shows to return to the network's air; with all three, along with Judge Steve Harvey, are set to premiere Feb. 7, with Abbott getting an hourlong debut.

ABC has only three half-hour comedies on its roster at the moment and will announce later how it plans to fill the 9:30 p.m. Wednesday spot. The network will stack dramas on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Second-year show Will Trent will lead off Tuesdays starting Feb. 20, followed by The Rookie and The Good Doctor. The Thursday lineup will debut March 14, with 911 — which is moving from Fox — leading into Grey's Anatomy and Station 19.

The Bachelor will return to its usual Monday spot Jan. 22, with the true-crime series following at 10 p.m. American Idol opens its season Feb. 18, paired with ABC News' What Would You Do? on Sunday nights. Fridays remain the same with Shark Tank and 20/20.

While everybody gobbled down turkey and chowed down on cranberry sauce and dressing and watched men in helmets throw a football around a stadium, one celebrity couple didn't actually made the headlines at all. Instead of them based in Hollywood, they were based in Canada. Kinda makes sense to it but one couple escaped the canadian cold and I don't blame that for.....warm, island life. But who was the couple? The ones in particular belongs to one producer and SVP of a production company while the other is an acclaimed actress, mentor to some budding actors and actresses and the ever fearless leader of the Pep mag Squad. I wonder when will her next stream is out? Anyways, I present............the wedding of Ann Pirvu and Christopher Giroux.

But the most important photo we had to find.............was this.

Congratulations Ann & Christoper. As for her, we'll try a find a way to dance to a 50's song for her next Pep Mag stream.

Years after its immense success with American audiences, Squid Game is demonstrating its potential as franchise material. Squid Game: The Challenge, a reality game show following the format of the acclaimed Korean series, is gaining traction and proving to be a hit among viewers. Season 1 of the reality competition debuted atop the English TV List with 20.1M views. The original series equally benefited from this new entry as the scripted version, which remains Netflix's most popular non-English TV series of all time, made it to the non-English list at number 6 with 1.6M views.

Two contestants of the new Netflix series Squid Game: The Challenge are threatening legal action over alleged injuries they said they suffered while filming, including hypothermia.

Express Solicitors, a law firm based in the U.K., said no lawsuit has been filed yet, but the firm has begun legal action against the show's production company, Studio Lambert.

The health concerns were mainly centered around the first challenge of the game show, "Red Light, Green Light," where contestants race to the finish line without being detected by a motion-spotting robot. It requires players to run quickly when the giant robot doll is not looking and then abruptly stop and stand still when the robot faces toward them.

David Slade, an accident specialist with Express Solicitors, said at least two contestants felt "unwell" after standing or crouching "motionless for hours in cold temperatures," which led to one contestant suffering from hypothermia. There was also a concern about the iconic green uniform, which one contestant alleged did not proper protect her from the chilly conditions, Slade added.

"From what we've been told they pushed the boundaries of safety in the name of entertainment," he said in a statement. "Production companies need to ensure that health and safety standards on their shows don't leave people at risk of harm."

The first round of competition took place at Cardington Studios in Bedford, England. Netflix's fan-focused website, Tudum, also reported that temperatures were "very cold" on set, adding that staff distributed hand warmers and placed heaters in tented areas for contestants to warm-up during breaks.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the show said, "We take the welfare of our contestants extremely seriously."

"We care deeply about the health and safety of our cast and crew, and invested in all the appropriate safety procedures. While it was very cold on set – and participants were prepared for that – any claims of serious injury are untrue," Netflix said in a January statement to CNN.

Squid Game: The Challenge has piqued the interest of quite a few spectators. The spinoff of the popular Netflix show, which allowed contestants to immerse themselves in the world of the Korean hit, debuted on November 22. In its first five days of availability, the premiere episode drew an audience of about 1.1M U.S. households, according to Samba TV.

Pretty Soon, he'll be out.

Mark Cuban is ready to exit Shark Tank.

In a recent interview with the Showtime podcast All The Smoke, Cuban told hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson that season 16 of the ABC series will be his last. The reality show from Mark Burnett is currently in its 15th season.

"It's time," said Cuban, who first guested on Shark Tank in season 2 before becoming a regular shark the following year. He's been a popular mainstay ever since.

"I love it because it sends the message the American dream is alive and well," Cuban told Barnes and Jackson. "I feel like in doing Shark Tank all these years, we've trained multiple generations of entrepreneurs that if somebody can come from Iowa or Sacramento or wherever, and show up on the carpet of Shark Tank and show their business and get a deal, it's going to inspire generations of kids. That's what happens, right? Now we've got people coming on saying I watched you when I was 10 years old. I'm like, (expletive deleted). But we're helping them right? I've invested in, I don't know how many hundreds of companies. On a cash basis, I'm down a little bit, but on mark to market meeting, the companies are still in operation. I'm way up."

When asked how he knows what makes a good investment on Shark Tank, Cuban said, "I just listen to them. You can just tell. Body language matters, the harder they have to try to sell, the worse the deal … when someone walks in Shark tank, you can tell if they are trying too hard. I have this rule: the longer the back story, the worse the deal. The minute you start telling me how hard it was for you, it's hard for every (expletive deleted) entrepreneur, tell me about your business, tell me why you are going to be successful."

The shape of Blue Ant Media's combined studios and rights business is coming together.

Following the Canada's Drag Race producer's acquisition of Canadian compatriot MarbleMedia in August, the as-yet-unnamed production and distribution business has set out its leadership teams under Co-Presidents Mark Bishop and Matthew Hornburg.

Bishop and Hornburg previously led MarbleMedia, which has production and sales operations in Canada and the UK. Merging their business with Michael MacMillan's Blue Ant has created Canada's latest major content business, the name of which will soon be unveiled.

We're not out just yet. It's time for a Mistplay Game Break. Give us the synopsis to this Hallmark Christmas movie.

A business executive traveling to Memphis for work reunites with… her old flame, a music promoter who begs her to perform at the Graceland Christmas Concert.

That of course is in my hometown. But you got Franki Love back in the Spotify Soundstage and her own take on a chrstmas carol.

You awake yet? Good. here's the answer.

Meanwhile at the Loscon 2023 here in LA, this had to happen.

No, it's not some comic book version of Family Feud, it's Pop Culture Trivia Strikes Back thanks to Skywalking Through Neverland. Richard & Sarah played the parts of Pat & vanna in this all out trivia onslaught.

David Skale kept tabs of the scorecards and 2 members of the Skywalking Force took some snaps.

Let's hope that happens in 2024.

And the last story is this. The Texas Rangers and the Arizona Diamondbacks will play in a spring traning exhibtion game at Grayson Stadium in Savannah Ga to be contested under Banana Ball rules. 90 seconds to talk about why Loteria Loca should've been fixed starting from........................

Now.

If Loteria Loca wanted it to teach english speaking people about mexican heritage, then it be a good place to start. Unfortunaetly, Monday Night Football and WWE Raw got in the way. TPIR at Night gave LL some salt wounds too after their show was over. But don't feel bad for Jamie Jamill, he wanted to be Don Francisco but is NOT Don Francsico. If you look at Sabado Gigante way back when, every spanish person in watching this on Univision knows it was a weekend happening but not Loteria Loca. They've suffered the first thing they should've gotten rid of: Dancers. Show me The Money had that concept but fizzled out thinking it's just a stupid show. Another thing they need to improve: Have 2 new cards to make the game better so ther person who didn't win the last round got to go first this round. Also, if there's a tie breaker the runner up will get $2500 for making the tie breaker. and one more thing: Get rid of those Loca challenges and make it a straight up Loteria game if that makes more sense about it. LL would've made it a fiesta instead of some high school prom dance.
