The  Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.

Jeopardy! has revealed all the details of its upcoming Champions Wildcard tournament, and it gives fans further insight into who will participate in the 2023 Tournament of Champions, plus when regular Jeopardy! will return with new contestants.

The Champions Wildcard, which kicks off on Monday, October 2, will feature brief winners from Season 37 and Season 38, as well as the three winners from the currently airing Second Chance tournament (which wraps up on Friday, September 29). The series will culminate in December with four overall winners, each earning a spot in the 2023 TOC.

The official Jeopardy! website revealed the full format and schedule earlier this week, which features 108 returning winners from Seasons 37 and 38 (and the three Second Chance winners).

The competition will include 56 games in total, split across four legs, with 27 contestants competing in each. Each leg (divided into "spades, diamonds, clubs, and hearts") will feature nine quarterfinal matches followed by three semifinal matches and two final matches where one winner will be crowned.

Wildcard, which will be hosted by Ken Jennings, is scheduled to end on December 18, after which we will have four winners (one from each leg). Those four winners will then move on to the 2023 TOC.

Rather than stand around the parking lot and report, we'll go in after this commercial. The security vehicle circling the parking lot is coming. Let's go!

Family owned and operated for 3 years running, Nerd Alert is in the heart of the Cooper Young district here in Memphis. I went there during the annual Cooper Young festival to check the place out. In the front of the store, you'll see.....

There's plenty of stuff waiting for you to buy. There's even a refrigerator to purchase your drinks and leave if you can once you had all the stuff you purchased. But it gets more psyched down here on out. This is the back of the store.

Remember Rec Room out on Broad Street? Well, this location on cooper is coming back to haunt you. All you have to do is pay $10 to play all day. Every machine is on free play. There's a velvet rope that'll block you if you don't have $10, so........

And every Saturday morning, there's Cereal and cartoons until high noon. Because we missed it and we would rather bring it back than.....what's on the network nowadays. Dr. Pol, it's checkout time for you. There's even some events if you contact them. Go to this Facebook page to follow:

"Jane the Virgin" star Jaime Camil is bringing the popular Mexican bingo game, lotería, to prime time television as host of CBS' new game show "Lotería Loca."

While the unscripted series celebrates the game with heightened stakes and larger-than-life game pieces, Camil says he and co-creator Jeff Apploff were careful "not to stereotype" Mexican culture along the way.

"The set designer, Jeff and I really worked not to stereotype Mexicans or my culture," Camil told TheWrap ahead of the series premiere on Monday. "We didn't want the set to look like a waiting area at a Señor Frog's when you go to spring break and [see] wet T-shirt contests — we didn't want the set to look like that."

Instead, Camil recommended that Apploff and the set designer visit Mexico's Pueblos Mágicos — towns that have been dubbed "magical villages" by Mexico's Secretariat of Tourism — as inspiration for the "Lotería Loca" set.

"We transformed a magic town for television," Camil said. "When you enter our set, you are immersed into our setup through the television — a lot of colors, a lot of Cempasuchitl flowers," he said, referencing traditional florals used in Day of the Dead celebrations.

One down, and more to come.

That's the word from SAG-AFTRA and studio CEOS after meeting officially Monday for the first time since the 160,000-strong guild went out of strike on July 14 – they plan to do it again.

"SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP met for a full day bargaining session and have concluded. Negotiations will resume Wednesday, October 4," the two sides said this evening in a joint statement, reminiscent of the communication sent out from the WGA and the studios in their successful final round of negotiations last month.

Like today, the Wednesday meeting is being held at SAG-AFTRA's Wilshire HQ and the CEO Gang of Four — NBCUniversal's Donna Langley, Warner Bros Discovery's David Zaslav, Netflix's Ted Sarandos and Disney's Bob Iger — are expected to be in attendance with Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers president Carol Lombardini. Hosts SAG-AFTRA is represented by a team led by just re-elected union president Fran Drescher; National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland; and Ray Rodriguez, SAG-AFTRA's longtime Chief Contracts Officer.

As the striking actors guild sits down with the studio bosses for the first new talks in over 80 days, the writers are one step closer to officially ending their nearly 150-day labor dispute with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

"We strongly endorse this proposed contract and encourage you to vote for its ratification," said Writers Guild of America West president Meredith Stiehm and WGA East president Lisa Takeuchi in a joint message to guild members that started landing in scribes' inboxes late this morning.

Voting started online today at 10 am PT and ends at 1 pm PT on October 9. "Results will be announced on the WGAW and WGAE website after the close of voting," said the missive to members Monday of the agreement it took nearly five months out on the picket lines by writers to secure.

SAG-AFTRA walked out July 14, two weeks after their contract expired on June 30. The union approved its strike authorization vote – by a 98% margin – on June 5. It marked the first actors strike against the film and TV industry since 1980."

As for the AMPTP and SAG-AFTRA — their first day of deliberations Monday at the latter's Wilshire offices seems to going fairly smoothy with everyone getting to know each other again after close on three months without official talks.

Nollywood star Enyinna Nwigwe has been unveiled as the host for the groundbreaking "The Pyramid Game Show Nigeria, "marking a historic moment as the globally acclaimed game show makes its African debut.

Nwigwe assured the audience of a show that goes beyond mere entertainment, seamlessly incorporating the diverse tapestry of Nigerian culture, stating that the incorporation of Nigerian culture into the show is a top priority and that the groundwork has already been laid, with carefully crafted segments designed to reflect different phases of Nigerian culture.

He made this commitment during the unveiling of "The Pyramid Game Show Nigeria" at the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island on Friday, September 29.

The show's host also expressed his enthusiasm for not only providing entertainment but also offering financial opportunities to contestants, especially at a time when Nigeria is facing economic challenges.

"The Pyramid Game Show Nigeria," a Sony Pictures Television Entertainment franchise produced by Mekdoss International, is set to be an exhilarating blend of words and wit. The unique format features two teams, each comprising a celebrity and a contestant, with celebrities helping the contestants to win 10 million Naira (almost US$13,000) on each weekly episode.

Addressing the gathering, the producer of the game show, Martin Gbados, expressed his excitement about introducing a game show of "existential importance" to Nigeria. Gbados highlighted the societal vacuum of family-friendly entertainment, asserting that "The Pyramid Game Show" aims to fill that void.

Cover your eyes for this next one......

It's like being on Tinder, but so much worse.

One of the U.K.'s most infamous dating shows was quietly added to the Max streaming service last week. The streamer has imported six seasons of Naked Attraction, a game show that promises to "start where a good date often ends — naked."

In each episode, a single "chooser" critiques and eliminates six potential dates standing on a stage by scrutinizing their fully nude bodies, which are gradually revealed one part at a time (faces are revealed last). When only two potential dates remain, the chooser strips out of their own clothes too, giving the remaining two contestants the opportunity to critique them. The final couple then go out on a date, with their clothes on.

The episodes on Max are uncensored, but have added a warning at the beginning of each: "The following series is intended only for mature audiences. It contains full frontal nudity, course language, and graphic discussions about the human body. Viewer discretion is advised."

Naked Attraction can come across as rather jaw-droppingly brutal in the contestants' graphic analysis and dismissal of people based on their most private of parts with contestants being dismissed for every superficial reason you can imagine ("I don't like her feet" … "His member is too small," etc). At the same time, each episode contains interstitials of informative sex education, and the show clearly tries to promote body confidence and positivity amid all the "hot or not" judgements. The show also includes contestants of diverse sexual orientations.

How many stories made up the entire Creepshow film in 1982 when it first hit theatres?

Think real fast and I mean, real fast after we go to the Spotify Soundstage and look who's here once again this year....................

Well, what's the answer? After further consideration which is.....watching the film at least 10 times, there are.......5 short stories. And that was all before Tales from The Crypt on HBO came to be.
