Today I bench pressed 40kg which is big for me. I’ve got puny arms but a zeal for benching, anyhow, what percentage of @macarthurboyd do you think that is? Me and @rossisacoolguy are measuring our mad gains in CMBs, with a hope to look like this by next fringe: pic.twitter.com/dIyZmvbZ5r

A busy Alex Wagner, host of MSNBC's Alex Wagner Tonight, is expanding her resume with another TV gig. Wagner has been named host of Netflix's The Mole reboot. Netflix's new version of the classic competition series is set to premiere October 7 on the streaming network.
The Mole, based on Belgian format De Mol, last aired on ABC from 2001-08 with Anderson Cooper, Ahmad Rashad, and Jon Kelley as hosts.
The Mole is a high-stakes competition series and in this reimagined version, twelve players work together in challenges to add money to a pot that only one of them will win at the end. Among the players is one person who has secretly been designated "the Mole" and tasked with sabotaging the group's money-making efforts. In the end, one player will outlast their competition and expose the Mole to win the prize pot.
Wagner was named to succeed Rachel Maddow in MSNBC's key 9 pm timeslot Tuesday through Friday as host of Alex Wagner Tonight, which launched on August 16. Before that, Wagner was a co-host and executive producer of The Circus, Showtime's Emmy-nominated weekly docuseries chronicling American politics. She also was a contributing writer at The Atlantic.
The original series, based on the Belgian format, was created by Bart De Pauw, Michel Vanhove, Michiel Devlieger, and Tom Lenaerts and distributed by Primitives.
The reboot is produced by Holey Moley producer Eureka Productions with exec producers Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, Rikkie Proost, David Tibballs and David Burris.

Take a chair for this next one...........
Mastermind is back this September in a new series that marks 50 years of the nation's sharpest minds competing in a tournament for the ultimate quizzing honor of being crowned Mastermind Champion.
Hosted by BBC journalist and presenter Clive Myrie since 2021, the new series of Mastermind will see 96 contenders follow the tried and tested formula of facing two minutes of questions on their specialist subject, followed by two and a half minutes on general knowledge.
"Its enduring appeal is down to its simplicity; a test of knowledge against the clock," says Myrie. "It is still Britain's toughest quiz, thoroughly entertaining. Having said that the format itself is an interrogation. You're seeing someone under the spotlight, being grilled for a certain amount of time as the clock ticks down on what they know, and that can be thrilling, but it can be uplifting as well."
Sarah Clay, Commissioning Editor, says: "Mastermind is one of the BBC's legacy shows and a real jewel in our schedule, with a simple yet highly effective format which has been popular with audiences for decades. It entertains and educates audiences, with many loyal fans playing along at home."
Mastermind is a Hindsight & Hat Trick Production for the BBC. The BBC Commissioning Editor is Sarah Clay and the Executive Producers are David Young, Jimmy Mulville, Kate Middleditch, and Chris Jones for Hindsight & Hat Trick. It is filmed and produced in Belfast with support from Northern Ireland Screen..

here.....we go.....again.
Fox is breeding another reality series reboot. The network is bringing back dating format Farmer Wants a Wife. The series is based on a British format developed by American Idol producer Fremantle and a U.S. adaptation previously aired on The CW in 2008.
The show is centered around a group of farmers that are presented with women from the city and they must choose one to be their spouse.
Fox's new take is produced by Fremantle-backed Eureka, which is on an unscripted tear with series such as ABC's Holey Moley and CBS' upcoming The Real Love Boat. The production company, which was set up by Chris Culvenor and Paul Franklin, produces an Australian version of the show for Seven Network that has been successful since its own reboot.
The format has been rebooted in a number of international territories with a slightly younger and sexier vibe. It has played in 32 countries and resulted in 180 marriages.
Rob Wade, president of alternative entertainment and specials at Fox, told Deadline that there's a a sense of nostalgia and the countryside permeating the U.S. at the moment. He pointed out that there's around 85M people that live in counties of less than 80,000 people
"It's middle America but I also feel there's a lot of people in cities to go back [to the countryside], even people who were never part of it. There's something synonymous with the homestead farm and American culture," he added.
The Fox series is exec produced by Paul Franklin, Chris Culvenor, Eden Gaha and David Tibballs.

In case you didn't hear it on our Buzz-GSN segment last week.....
Sony Pictures TV-owned Game Show Network is no longer available on Dish after the two companies could not reach a new carriage agreement following eight months of negotiations.
As is the case in virtually any carriage dispute, the two parties issued dueling statements highlighting their position in the standoff and pointing fingers at the other side, with Dish claiming that their "goal and priority is to reach a fair agreement to bring this channel back as quickly as possible."
Here is GSN's statement followed by that by Dish.
Game Show Network tried to get a deal done with DISH, but after eight months of negotiations we could not agree to their demands. Most recently, DISH's removal of channels has been focused on local retransmission or regional sports networks (Tegna, Sinclair, Block Communications, AT&T Sportsnet, Root Sportsnet, NBC Regional Sports Networks, among others.) DISH is choosing to do this to Game Show Network, an independent network, that costs virtually nothing compared to local retransmission or sports networks.
Our contract has expired with Game Show Network. Our goal and priority is to reach a fair agreement to bring this channel back as quickly as possible. Visit http://dishpromise.com for more information and to make your voice heard, call @GameShowNetwork at 310-255-6800.
In the interest of equal time, Game Show Network's link is at http://www.gameshownetwork.com/dish.
In the meantime, subscribe to Frndly, the app that actually gives you GSN and other channels like Hallmark. Did you hear Candace Cameron Bure is leaving? Well yes, but Dave Coulier can be in one. Anyways, it's $6.99 after a free trial for a week and see if family friendly is better than being.....woke. Obviously.
