The Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.
Last friday was the weekend of mother's day. Mattea Roach was prepared for her 24th straight win. But what happened on the end of KenJen's run as host on Jeopardy! before Mayim took over was a shocker. Watch and then learn.
The latest long-time champ on "Jeopardy!" has seen her winning streak end at 23 — by a single dollar.
Mattea Roach, a tutor from Toronto, earned $560,983 during her run on the game show. She's has one of the five longest winning streaks in "Jeopardy" history, but didn't come close to Ken Jennings' record of 74 consecutive wins.
Danielle Maurer, a marketing manager from Peachtree Corners, Georgia, beat Roach on Friday's show by a margin of $15,600 to $15,599.
Unlike her second-to-last match, Roach went into the final question with the lead Friday. But the Final Jeopardy question was about the name of Atlanta's airport, right near where Maurer lived. The category was USA, and the clue was: "These two mayors gave their names to a facility built on the site of an old racetrack owned by Coca-Cola magnate Asa Candler." The correct response was: "Who are William Hartsfield and Maynard Jackson?"
Roach was wrong, Maurer was right, and she bet enough to win.
"It feels still kind of like a dream," Roach said. "I really came down here hoping to maybe win one game and so I still can't believe it. You know, it's strange, obviously I didn't come through in the last one, but I still feel so happy and so lucky to have had this experience."
Roach will return to compete in the game show's Tournament of Champions this fall. Among her challengers will be Matt Amodio and Amy Schneider, who are also in the "Jeopardy" top five of longest winning streaks for their work this year.

Bar Rescue? Please. This is Barmageddon.
Blake Shelton and Carson Daly are heading to Blake's bar for a new celebrity game show. The longtime friends have teamed to star in and executive produce Barmageddon for USA Network, with Nikki Bella as host.
The show will take place at Shelton's Nashville bar Ole Red, with Daly behind the bar and Shelton taking the stage with his house band for live music sing-alongs.
Led by WWE Hall of Famer Bella, celebrity friends will go head-to-head in a series of classic bar games with a fun twist, including Air Cannon Cornhole, Keg Curling, Drunken Axe Hole, Sharts ("Shelton Darts") and more.
Per the official description: In each episode, two celebrities will play a unique set of five games in the bar to win a much-needed prize for a viral Internet sensation each has chosen to support. Plucked from obscurity following their epic misadventures on the Internet, these now-infamous stars find themselves at Ole Red hoping to be redeemed. The competition heats up when the losing rival of each round has a chance to even the score by spinning the Wheel of Redemption, a risky move with hilarious consequences. Shelton and Daly will offer words of encouragement – and heckling, of course – to their celebrity friends. On occasion, they might even step in to show off their skills and play a game or two. Ultimately, the winning team takes home a prize while the losing celebrity must accept the shame of defeat. But this is Barmageddon – even if they did not win, at least they had a ton of fun trying.

Here's a quick one.
The Great American Baking Show is moving from ABC to The Roku Channel, looking more like The Great British Bake-Off
Paul Hollywood will return, but he'll be joined by a new host: Prue Leith, his The Great British Bake-Off colleague. She replaces Sherry Yard, who's judged the last two seasons.
The Great American Baking Show's last episode aired in January 2020, shortly before the pandemic.

Let's quickly get to the Mistplay Game Break. It's the game nobody asked for. It's Fix The Mistake.
Fix the last name after we go back 10 years and hear from Train in the Spotify Soundstage.
However, we're not saying goodbye just yet. Mr. Sears was in the biggest merger of his life since Warner Bros. got Discovery or Viacom got the whole CBS library when he met........Mr. Roebuck. That led to a department store we saw in shopping malls growing up before it all closed down.

The game of Musical Chairs is this: Walk around the chairs, but don't touch them because once the music stops, sit where you are or your left without one and will sit it out until the end. The CW had a much better plan.
Oh Sit! (yes, it's the title, I didn't write it) had a dream team of 3. Jamie Kennedy of the Jamie Kenendy Experiement handled the play by play while Jessi Cruikshank of Canada's Smartest person was the analyst while Tanika Ray (Cyber Lucy of Wheel 2000 fame) roamed the sidelines. It was exactly the same as the game itself except.................they had to cross the bridge of obstacles before hitting the chair to bank some money. But like sports, it's contact and let me read to you Rule 7 in the Oh Sit! handbook:
Contact is allowed, but contestants cannot: grab above the neck, push with the intention to harm another contestant, or push from behind unless the contestant is on a bridge. If any contestant(s) that advanced was found to have broken a rule, that contestant(s) will be disqualified. If any contestants are disqualified, or quit the game between rounds (either voluntarily or due to injury), the last eliminated contestant(s), provided they're medically cleared, will be brought back into the game. If not enough eliminated contestants can return to replace any removed contestants, a reserve will replace the remaining contestant.
So fair play is at a fair will. And if the reserves come in, that can change the pace of the game. The last 3 go on to Chair Mountain where only one person will sit for the big bucks. Running for 2 seasons, the show also had Far East Movement, Kat Graham and Sean Kingston stopping by to perform while the runners did the work. Although it was a fun CW program, this was far better than Duck Duck Goose.
