Colbi King: From the Game Show Live! newsroom, it's time for.............
Your news......with sass. Presented by invisibility. When the cops try to catch you, use it and then pretend you're in another part of the country. Here now is..... Pierre Kelly!
Me: Hi everyone, good afternoon from the Pacific Bay area and TGIF! Hope you are well. And if you aren't well, well........
Today is Friday The 13th.
“The Afterparty” just got another suspect … or another victim … in the form of Ken Jeong.
Jeong has joined the just-started-filming second season of the Apple TV+ whodunit comedy show as a series regular, TheWrap has learned.
Details about Jeong’s character weren’t provided, but he joins the cast of the sophomore season along with fellow newcomers Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall and Vivian Wu. Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao and Tiffany Haddish return from the first season.
Like the inaugural season, this season of “The Afterparty” takes place at a gathering – this time a wedding (speculation suggests its Richardson and Chao’s wedding). Also like the first season, each episode will follow the format of a different movie genre.
Series creator Christopher Miller returns, although this time around he won’t be directing every episode, which is understandable considering how many projects he and creative partner Phil Lord are working on (among them: two “Into the Spider-Verse” sequels, Elizabeth Banks’ “Cocaine Bear” and an adaptation of Andy Weir’s heart-stopping sci-fi novel “Project Hail Mary”). Showrunning duties for Season 2 will be split between Miller and Anthony King, also an executive producer.
Jeong can currently be seen on Netflix’s gonzo Mike Myers series “The Pentaverate” and as a judge on “The Masked Singer.”
Deadline first reported the news of Jeong’s casting.
And here's the host of Jeopardy!........
Who is: the better host?
Mattea Roach, who sprung to “Jeopardy!” stardom by becoming the first Gen Z megachampion, has cast her vote for who should be the show’s permanent host between Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings. She’s also weighing in on criticism she’s received about the way she plays the game.
“I would say Ken because of his history with the show,” the 23-year-old contestant from Toronto told Vulture of her pick to replace longtime host Alex Trebek, who died in 2020. “As a contestant, there’s something really special about being onstage with the greatest player of all time. Someone who understands in a very visceral way what it’s like to be in your position.
“Mayim is fantastic, but she doesn’t have that same experience,” Roach concluded.
Because of Roach’s unique facial expressions and thinking aloud during the game show, devout “Jeopardy!” fans have also speculated that she’s doing that to distract other contestants.
“The notion of my comments being distracting either to the viewers or the players, I was like, ‘Huh?’ You don’t have time to think about weird mind games,” she said. “I would never want to be deliberately distracting to another player because it’s so unsportsmanlike. I like to think it didn’t have that impact.”
People, according to Roach, have deemed her strategy too casual and have said, “She’s playing the same way she’d play along while at home on the couch.”
I am now hosting a segment in which these qualifications will be taken notice: Someone who can stream for more than one year of his or her own time, can be of some certain variety or within the realm outside of video games (i.e. Artwork, Music), viewership numbers on averages and the category most important: Play Jackbox games if necesssary. Please help me introduce you all to.................

Sandi Toksvig, the internationally-renowned comedian, broadcaster, writer, campaigner, and all-round good egg, will make her Australian and New Zealand touring debut with a new, specially-conceived comedy show: Sandi Toksvig Live! Regularly featured on a variety of television shows, most recently a three-year stint as co-host on The Great British Baking Show, this 9-city tour marks Sandi's welcome return to live stand-up comedy performance in 2022. The Sydney show will be part of the Just For Laughs Sydney Comedy Festival.
In an evening of comedy and curiosities Sandi will share little known facts and tell tall tales alongside some really silly jokes. Packed full of reasons to be cheerful, this show will be a soothing balm after recent years of lockdown gloom, with a side of parlour games for those who wish to take part.
Sandi said, "I am thrilled to finally come down to Australia and New Zealand to perform my new show for my fans down under. It has been a perilous time for live performance, but I am thrilled to be back on the boards. And leaving our winter for an Australian summer is a bonus, I can't wait."
This week, Anne, 77, revealed that she had made the decision to step down from the ‘hot seat’ on the Channel 4 programme after 265 episodes, admitting that she ‘stayed longer than I signed up for’.
‘I’ve had a blast hosting this wonderful show. And I stayed longer than I signed up for. Now it is time for an older woman to take the reins,’ she said in a statement.
There are several individuals who would be worthy replacements for the former Weakest Link host, including Moira Stuart, Sir Trevor McDonald, Colin Murray and Paul O’Grady.
However, another name has come out of the woodwork as a favourite, according to the bookies – Richard, who recently announced he was leaving his position on BBC quiz show Pointless.
The 51-year-old currently has 3/1 odds of replacing Anne, Ladbrokes said.
Last month, he spoke out about his decision to leave Pointless after 13 years, saying in a statement: ‘I will miss everyone so much, but I’m thrilled that I’ll still be presenting the celebrity shows. I can’t thank everyone enough for twelve amazing years.’
Could his departure from Pointless mean he has some free time to switch to Countdown instead?
While it was reported he would be spending more time focusing on writing his crime fiction books, we reckon he’d a great choice for the programme.
A lifelong Reading area resident "bet her life" on TV Thursday night.
"You Bet Your Life with Jay Leno" is a reboot of the Groucho Marx game show with the same name from the 1940s-'60s.
Small business owner Erika Lebo, who's from Berks County, applied to be on the reboot last year. She was selected as a contestant and was flown out to LA recently to film with a total stranger for the chance to win some money.
It's a quiz show, and Erika's episode aired on FOX Thursday night.
She and her partner won! They won $5,000.
Erika says the experience was a dream come true. She says she's amazed at the magic of television and says Leno was very kind. She says both he and Kevin Eubanks made her feel extremely comfortable and she shared a lot of laughs with them, saying it's an experience she'll never forget.
Let the people rejoice! It's..................
