This year's competition also will feature two other contestants from the region: Miss Universe United Arab Emirates and Miss Universe Morocco. This will mark the first time that a delegate from the United Arab Emirates has competed in the competition. Additionally, Miss Universe Morocco returns to the competition for the first time in more than four decades.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID, and it was reported he was not vaccinated against the virus. He won’t play in the Packers’ next game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The three-time MVP had said he was “immunized” in the past when asked if he got the vaccine. Videos of his answer to the question have resurfaced on Twitter in the wake of the news.
Rodgers will return to play on Saturday Nov. 13 at the earliest, as is dictated by the National Football League’s COVID protocols. The National Football League claimed to ramp up its testing and limit travel for unvaccinated players.
The vibe in Las Vegas’ Mirage theater was eerie. It was a Friday night, and we were taking our seats to see “Shin Lim: LIMitless.” Vegas is still reeling from the effects of the pandemic but the Mirage recently re-opened after a months-long hiatus, and the visual cues of COVID were still evident. Handwash stations competed with ATMs for floor space. Like cowboy hats at a rodeo — everyone was wearing a mask. Not many seemed happy about it.
Lim, who’s the only person ever to win “America’s Got Talent” twice, almost didn’t make it to his own premiere. The pandemic profoundly affected the entertainer. “I didn’t leave the house for a whole year,” he told me after the show. “I didn’t practice. I wasn’t in the right headspace, so I purposely did not do magic. With the exception of the occasional Zoom gig, it wasn’t until two months before we opened that I said, ‘It’s time to create.'”
After telling his wife, Casey, that he didn’t want to continue doing the show, she was incredulous — and encouraged him to return to the stage — and to rethink his approach to magic. “People are hostile, and they’re confused. I didn’t know how the audience was going to react,” Shin said. “However, it was in that moment that I knew that I had to make a change to the show. The show pre-pandemic was different. We were all different then. So we had to go deeper with this show, and instead of thrill them, maybe we inspire them.”

ABC today announced its holiday programming lineup, a festive slate that delivers new specials, seasonal favorites and beloved classics perfectly curated to celebrate the most wonderful time of year.
The network is unwrapping two new dazzling and delightful specials with the enchanting "The Magic Maker" and merrily melodic "A Very Boy Band Holiday." Additional highlights include the November staple "The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration"; the exciting return of Disneyland's Christmas parade on "Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade"; "CMA Country Christmas" from Nashville; new holiday-themed episodes of ABC comedies and dramas; the previously announced "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2022," and all of the classic ho-ho-holiday favorites that families can curl up on the sofa with a warm cup of cocoa and enjoy. A sparkling new season of "The Great Christmas Light Fight" also returns, along with news of a season 10 pickup for 2022.
