This month, we'll witness 2 milestones reach the numebr of 500. When you think of the number 500, what does it mean to you? The daytona 500? The Indianapolis 500? The highest value of Level 6 on the Whew! game board? Well...............................
The Challenge is gearing up for a very special milestone during Season 37 a.k.a. Spies, Lies, and Allies. Wednesday's episode will mark the 500th episode of The Challenge. To celebrate, the competitors will be tasked with taking part in one of their most physically demanding daily missions yet in "Brush Contact."
As shown in the clip linked below, host TJ Lavin explained that this mission would be played in three rounds with each of the respective teams (or "cells"), Emerald, Ruby, and Sapphire, getting to play offense or defense. The team on offense will have the men transferring bags of cash into the safe zone in the middle of the field. Once there, the women will take over to run the bags to the end zone. Their journey won't be smooth sailing though, as the team on defense will be trying to prevent the offensive team from scoring. The cell with the most money gathered in the end zone will be the winner.
The Emerald cell is the heavy favorite to win the mission since they're the only team with six players — Nany Gonzalez, Kaycee Clark, Tori Deal, Devin Walker-Molaghan, Josh Martinez, and Emanuel Neagu. The Ruby cell currently has five with Cory Wharton, Nelson Thomas, Logan Sampedro, Tula "Big T" Fazakerley, and Emy Alupei. The Sapphire cell is also down a player, with their five teammates being CT Tamburello, Kyle Christie, Ashley Mitchell, Amanda Garcia, and Bettina Buchanan. The Emerald cell has won the last two daily missions, cementing their status as the team to beat. Will either of the other two teams be able to score their first win as a team?
But that wasn't the only milestone that happens......................
“The Voice” is celebrating its landmark 500th episode on October 26 as the knockouts continue for coaches Blake Shelton, Ariana Grande, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson. The NBC reality TV singing competition first premiered on April 26, 2011 and began its 21st season on September 20, 2021. While the coaching panel has shifted over the years, host Carson Daly has acted as the emcee since day one.
In a recent interview with Gold Derby, Daly explained how the show’s success caught everyone by surprise.
“Never!” was the quick response Daly had when asked if he predicted his hosting gig on “The Voice” would last more than 20 seasons. “It was quite the opposite. People thought we were crazy. If you recall the landscape in television at that time, ‘American Idol,’ by all accounts, was kind of rounding third heading for home after their monumental success. Yet there still seemed to be an appetite for singing competitions because ‘X-Factor’ was coming over from Europe. When we got this format from Holland, we had a very small window of time to get it on NBC before ‘X-Factor.’ We never thought we’d last, we barely thought we would survive.”
In another recent interview, executive producer Audrey Morrissey explained how the show has evolved over the years by adding exciting twists such as steals, instant saves and the onboarding of new coaches. “You want to keep things fresh,” Morrissey said. “You want people coming back for more, having an unexpected element. But it’s got to make sense. It has to fit with the core values of the show.”

It's game time on NBC as Jimmy Fallon invites "The Voice" coackes to participate in a sneak episode of "That's My Jam!"
Hosted by Fallon, "That's My Jam" is an hourlong music and comedy variety game show that draws inspiration from the most popular "Tonight Show" games. Each episode features two teams of two celebrities competing for a charity of their choice in a series of music, dance, and trivia-based games and musical performances.
Kicking off the show on a high (musical) note, "The Voice" Season 21 coaches - Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend - will appear in a sneak episode of the show on Monday, Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, bringing their A-game on behalf of their chosen charities.
Signature games to be played include "Wheel of Impossible Karaoke," "Perfect Mashup," "Vinyl Countdown" and "Slay It, Don't Spray It."
Following the Nov. 29 telecast, the season will begin in early 2022.
"That's My Jam" is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Fallon's production company, Electric Hot Dog. Fallon, Jim Juvonen and Mike Yurchuk serve as executive producers.

Take That singer Gary Barlow is set to replace Simon Cowell on upcoming ITV entertainment format Walk The Line.
The genre-bending show from Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and ITV Studios’ rebranded Lifted Entertainment division was unveiled with fanfare over the summer and would have represented Cowell’s on-screen return 15 months after be broke his back after falling off an E-bike, which meant he missed out on judging Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent.
However, he told UK newspaper The Sun yesterday that he wanted to “focus on my role as creator and producer as we build up to the hugely exciting launch” later this year. Cowell’s replacement is Barlow, with whom he worked on now-cancelled long-running ITV format The X Factor.
Barlow will be joined by UK presenter Maya Jama and singer Craig David. Cowell is expected to return for the next series of Britain’s Got Talent.
An ITV spokesman said: “We are delighted that Gary has decided to join the Walk The Line family and we understand and support Simon’s decision to focus on his role as producer and creator for this debut series.”
Walk The Line sees musical acts take to the stage to perform for the nation. The top two performers of the evening then face a nail-biting decision in their bid to be crowned champion — they either ‘cash out’ with a tempting cash prize, or walk the line and play on. Should they stay in and top the leaderboard, they will then progress to the next show, facing a different cast of performers..
