ABC is giving former Bachelor franchise star Demi Burnett a chance at finding love – and this time her odds are doubled. Well, sort of.
The reality star, whom Bachelor Nation first met on Colton Underwood‘s Season 23 of The Bachelor, made headlines after coming out as queer on Bachelor in Paradise in 2019, ultimately getting engaged to Kristian Haggerty on that season, though the two later ended their relationship. She’s set to take part in The Celebrity Dating Game, hosted by Zooey Deschanel (New Girl) and Grammy-winner Michael Bolton.
Other celebrities appearing on the show include Burnett’s Bachelor pal Hannah Brown (The Bachelorette; Dancing With the Stars), Nicole Byer (Why Won’t You Date Me?), Nolan Gould (Modern Family), Gabriel Iglesias (The Masked Singer), Carson Kressley (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy), singer Iggy Azalea, Taye Diggs (All American), and Marcus Scribner (black-ish).
During the show, Bolton will sing parodies of his well-known hits that will reveal clues as to who the celebrities are.

Colbi: Raw dead squid. Not quite the unofficial mascot of the Detroit Red Wings. Now you can be an octopus by eating an actual dead squid. Ink definitely not required. Over to you, Squidward.

HUSTLE & ROLL (w/t) is a look inside a group of highly competitive luxury car dealers who trust no one
(Los Angeles) - Discovery Channel has given the greenlight to HUSTLE AND ROLL (w/t), from executive producer and Oscar(R)-winner Jamie Foxx, Propagate and its subsidiary Big Breakfast. The series will be available across Discovery platforms.
HUSTLE & ROLL (w/t) is a behind the scenes look into the life of the world's most successful celebrity car dealers, including RD Whittington of @WiresOnly, and a group of highly competitive luxury car dealers who specialize in making their clients' dreams come true by any means necessary. But, in this glitzy world where million-dollar cars are posted on Instagram and sold the next day, luxury is not always pretty - everyone knows everyone, no one trusts anyone, and millions are on the line.
"I am thrilled to partner with the teams over at Discovery, Propagate, and Big Breakfast on this exciting project. My friend, RD Whittington is beyond just a rare luxury car dealer... he makes magic happen. I can't wait for audiences to see what we're bringing with this show," said Jamie Foxx.
"We are so excited to welcome Jamie Foxx to the Discovery family, and through his show we are getting access to a rarely-seen business of sourcing and selling luxury cars, and the fascinating entrepreneurs who fiercely compete to succeed in this competitive market.," said Nancy Daniels, Chief Brand Officer, Discovery & Factual.
Executive Produced by Jamie Foxx, represented by CAA, LBI Entertainment, and Ziffren Brittenham, HUSTLE & ROLL (w/t) is produced for Discovery by Propagate and its subsidiary Big Breakfast. For Propagate and Big Breakfast, executive producers are Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Luke Kelly-Clyne, and Rob Buchta. Douglas Banker is executive producer on behalf of Five All In The Fifth Entertainment. For Discovery, Gretchen Morning is executive producer and Olivia Ghersen is associate producer.
Steve Harvey continues to host the popular show that puts two families in a competition for a grand cash prize.
The series was produced in Atlanta from 2011 through 2017, first at the Atlanta Civic Center, then at a studio constructed at the Georgia World Congress Center.
In 2017, production was shifted to Los Angeles, where it remained until this summer. Early parts of the current season -- the show's 22nd -- were filmed in Los Angeles, but production has shifted back to Atlanta.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, producers are conducting casting for family contestants online. There are no local tryouts scheduled at this time.
In order to audition, producers said you must have five family members related by blood, marriage, or by legal adoption.
Hopefuls who want to apply must be at least age 15. Here’s more details on what producers are looking for and how to audition.
Star Trek: The Next Generation was a landmark in science fiction, becoming even more beloved than its predecessor. Part of this success stemmed from its cast of beloved characters, namely Picard, Riker and Worf. There was one character, however, whose presence was more than derided throughout the show's run.
Wesley Crusher was part of the show since the beginning, and his prominent role gained him the derision of fans. Immortalized by actor Wil Wheaton, the annoying Wesley was initially going to be played by a soon-to-be reality TV star. Here's who Picard was originally meant to yell "shut up" at.
James David Weinroth, or J. D. Roth, is an actor, producer and TV show host whose works include several reality and game shows. These have included The Biggest Loser and Extreme Weight Loss, as well as more adult-oriented reality game shows such as Unan1mous and Sex Wars. He also voiced Jonny Quest in the 1996 series, having been a huge fan of the original.
Before all of this, however, he was originally meant to portray Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation. A casting sheet from early in the show's production showcases how he was initially the only one in the running for the role. Many others who were eventually cast had to clearly fight for their roles, however, with Cheryl Gates McFadden being one of three actors in consideration for Wesley's mother, Dr. Beverly Crusher. It's unknown why Roth didn't end up getting the role, especially considering he was the only real consideration at the time.
This casting sheet doesn't even mention Wil Wheaton, who went on to infamously portray the character. Much of the dislike of Wesley Crusher didn't stem from Wheaton's portrayal of him, but rather how the character was written. Despite his age, Wesley was shown as being particularly gifted intellectually, allowing him to be of benefit on the ship in ways that shocked even Picard. This saw him eventually become ensign, with his role only increasing from there.
Many saw this sometimes ridiculous intellect as an example of Wesley being a "Gary Stu," with his supposed smarts getting the crew out of jams in the most inexplicable of ways. He was also seen as a sort of authorial stand-in for series creator Gene Roddenberry, whose middle name was Wesley. Once Roddenberry's influence on the show began to lessen, so did Wesley's role in it. But the damage had already been done, with Wesley remaining one of The Next Generation's most hated elements. This has made Wheaton himself into a bit of a joke, with his roles in other productions oftentimes lampooning his time as Wesley. While Roth went on to become more well-known for occasional soap opera and game show spots, Wil Wheaton is forever stuck on the bridge for his role as an unfortunate ensign.
Then you know it's time for Livewire! Until next time, play on playas.
