(Los Angeles) - All good things must come to an end. It's coming up on the final blowout of the hit Discovery series BATTLEBOTS. This season, 60 teams from across the globe converged for the hard-hitting, steel splitting tournament in combat robotics. But only the top can survive and walk away with the preeminent prize in robotic sport: The Giant Nut. The competition is down to the final eight bots and it's an all-out robotic battle royale for the BattleBots World Championship. The season finale of BATTLEBOTS airs Thursday, March 11 at 8PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel.
It could be anyone's game as this year's tournament winds down. Each of the final matches will consist of two remote-controlled robots competing in a single, three-minute round with the goal to destroy or disable their opponent. If there is no knockout during the battle, a panel of judges will declare a victor. The World Championship tournament is a single elimination competition that culminates in the award of The Giant Nut.
Can't get enough of the BattleBots action? Be sure to check out BATTLEBOTS: BOUNTY HUNTERS streaming now on discovery+. The top robot challengers from across America will face off in a battle of the Legends including Tombstone, Bronco, Witch Doctor, Son of Whyachi, Beta and Icewave. Each of the them have many knockouts and have smashed countless competitors before them. In each episode, challengers will compete for the right to become the Bounty Hunter and fight a Legend. The prize: a unique place in BattleBots history, and the major share of a $25,000 cash prize payout in every episode.

Red Arrow Studios, the production group owned by German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1, took a €46 million ($55M) hit to its revenue in 2020 after the coronavirus pandemic halted production around the world.
Red Arrow-owned Kinetic Content landed a big Netflix hit in the shape of Love Is Blind, but it was ultimately an unsettled year for the production empire amid Covid-19.
ProSiebenSat.1 shelved plans to sell the company because of the pandemic, while the producer’s CEO James Baker was among a number of senior executive departures. Red Arrow is now overseen by a ProSieben advisory board.
According to ProSieben’s full-year earnings, Red Arrow’s total revenue fell 6% from €730M in 2019 to €684M last year. Adjusted EBITDA dropped 12.6% to €42M. Revenue picked up in Q4 last year, when sales hit €235M, compared with €222M in 2019.
ProSieben said: “The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic also had a high impact here in the second quarter in particular, with the international program production business being particularly hard hit. After program productions in the US in particular had to be largely stopped or postponed in mid-March, there were still restrictions there in the further course of the year.
“As the restrictions on public life were eased, production business recovered slightly in the third quarter and was above the level of the previous year in the fourth quarter due to catch-up effects. The performance in program distribution, our global sales business, was also clearly positive over the full-year. However, this was unable to compensate the decline in production business over the first nine months of 2020.”
More broadly, ProSieben’s 2020 earnings were in line with unaudited results it published in January. Group revenue stood at €4.05 billion, while EBITDA was €706M. This compared with €4.1B and €872M in 2019.
After a very brief hiatus, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 is back with the episode we’ve all been waiting for – it’s the Snatch Game of course!
In the upcoming episode, we’ll watch as the nine remaining queens in the Drag Race line-up impersonate celebrities with the aim of making RuPaul laugh during a parody of game show Match Game (known as Blankety Blank in the UK).
While Drag Race US didn’t air an episode last week, this weekend’s instalment will see season one queen Victoria ‘Porkchop’ Parker and season two’s Raven make guest appearances, while internet personality TS Madison will be joining RuPaul on the judging panel.
We’ll soon be seeing more of Steve Harvey on Facebook Watch. The digital platform has ordered 20 more weeks of his popular talk show Steve on Watch, from Harvey’s East 112 and Endeavor Content’s Film 45, for premiere later this year.
The series also is set to return to taping in front of a live audience where local guidelines allow. The most recent season was filmed at Harvey’s home in a specially constructed studio to adapt to filming during the Covid-19 pandemic. The production featured a live virtual audience streaming in from all over the country, interacting with Harvey throughout the show. Harvey interviewed guests, such as Kandi Burress, in his driveway with a live audience.
I’m looking forward to the next season of Steve on Watch,” said Harvey. “Connection has played an important role in our lives over the past year and Facebook Watch is a great place to share stories and connect with fans on a global level. No show is ever the same and nothing makes me happier than sharing my take on things.”
Steve On Watch features Harvey giving his hilarious and insightful take “on the everyday issues affecting his audience” along with interviews of film, TV and music stars. Previous season guests include Gabrielle Union, Stephen Curry, Keenan Thompson, Kandi Burress, Jack Black and more.
The show has been a huge success for the digital platform. More than 55 million people watched Steve on Watch in 2020 (with a minimum of one minute of viewing), according to Facebook
he Miceli's 25-year-old son, Giaci, has autism, and they are planning to donate a portion of their winnings to Autism Ontario.
The family's twins, Carolina and Maria, are involved in their brother's life, and started creating TikTok videos with him early last spring. Their videos were a hit and their account has already gained more than 500,000 followers and 13 million video views. Their goal is to help normalize autism by using social media platforms such as TikTok to reach millions around the world.
In 2020, when COVID-19 forced the world to put everything on pause, fundraising events for many charities such as Autism Ontario had to be modified or outright cancelled — creating devastating hits to funding. The pandemic has shed light on the growing need for additional support across many different communities in Canada, and across the globe.
To combat negative and wrong assumptions about autism and other disabilities, the Miceli twins use TikTok to share daily life with their brother. "Giaci brings us so much joy and teaches us so much every day," says Carolina. "The world needs more Giaci in their lives!"
"One thing most people misunderstand about our son is that he isn't able to do what everyone else can do. He can do anything when taught in a specific way that he needs. He always impresses us and shows us how to live with simplicity, kindness, honesty and happiness," says Rita.
"Giaci loves TV, so when he saw us on TV, his eyes lit up! He started saying all of our names as he saw us," says eldest sister Lauren.
The Micelis got to live out their dream and play Family Feud Canada against the two-day champs: the Layne family.
"It was honestly a complete, once-in-a-lifetime experience! How many people can say they've been on one of the most iconic game shows on national television," says Carolina. "The entire process was so fast and dreamlike."
