JoJo Fletcher will be temporarily taking over as host of Season 16 of "The Bachelorette" for Chris Harrison, who has to undergo a two-week quarantine after dropping his son off at college in Texas.
Harrison was told he can't go back into La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, California where the season is being filmed until he has quarantined for 14 days, according to reports from Variety and Us Weekly.
Reps for ABC and Warner Bros. did not immediately respond to requests for comment Thursday. The studio and network do not typically comment on casting rumors while the show is in production..

The covid-19 pandemic had trivia companies do at-home contests just like it was on Live tv, but one company had over 500 followers and climbing.
It took small victories to become medium sized. SMRT Trivia had a milestone that crossed over 500 followers last Friday. The rise of those followers meant those who had participated in the company's live events prior to the pandemic and new followers direct from Twitch. Each week, viewers can expect a good, clean and safe party zone that expects people to know what they learned in pop culture. Each trivia program has a prize of a T-shirt when all 20 questions are asked and also there's a Discord to discuss the ongoings of music, sports and fine art. WTG SMRT Trivia. I knew that small victory cmae in handy.

ITV has ordered a local version of word-themed gameshow format Lingo from Objective Media Group's Wildcard Television.
Lingo, which comes from All3Media-owned IDTV and Talpa TV, is one of Europe's longest-running gameshows. It has aired for 29 years in France and was rebooted in the Netherlands last year, where it had previously aired for 25 years. The format has also traveled to the US, where more than 500 episodes have aired in syndication and Game Show Network.
The UK version, which will be hosted by host, actor and comedian Adil Ray, will see contestant pairs compete across a series of rounds for a chance to win a cash prize. The teams are pitted against each other in a quick-thinking game of words, with the stakes becoming higher and the prize money escalating in each round.
Lingo (30×60') will be filmed in Manchester out of Objective Media Group North and distributed by All3Media International. Exec producing are Andrew Cartmell, Ed de Burgh and Ben Shephard for Wildcard, and Pam Cavannagh for Objective Media Group North.

We get the point.
The BBC has reportedly given the go-ahead to 227 new episodes of popular quiz show Pointless.
The show, hosted by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman, has been a staple of the BBC One schedules since 2009 - although it was forced off the air in July due to the coronavirus crisis.
According to Broadcast, filming will restart in November under new safety guidelines and without a studio audience, initially at least.
The magazine says that the BBC has confirmed three regular seasons, each of 55 episodes, as well as two 31-episode seasons of the celebrity version, which is shown on Saturday nights..

A stone-faced Anne Robinson, withering put downs (which haven't aged well) and, of course, a world famous catchphrase: The Weakest Link is one of the cornerstones of British television.
Today marks 20 years since Robinson first peered over her glasses at contestants who had no idea what they were in for, chastising them for literally any reason she could find and then delivering their cue to leave: "You are the weakest link, goodbye."
The concept - as with many hit quiz shows - was simple; a team of contestants had to create chains of correct answers to add to the prize fund, safeguarding cash along the way by stating "bank" before being asked a question. Get an answer wrong and the money in the chain was lost. Doing this one too many times would win you side-eye from your teammates/competitors, the wrath of Robinson and potentially prompt her famous phrase. The winner was then decided in a penalty shoot out-style head-to-head, though it was the main rounds which were the real attraction.
Many episodes, admittedly, do not hold up too well in 2020. Robinson's callous put downs saw her pick at everything from contestants' jobs and lifestyle choices to appearances and weight, with many being shared on social media in recent years - for all the wrong reasons.
But at its peak, The Weakest Link was a global phenomenon. The show is the second most popular global television franchise of all-time - beaten only by Who Wants to be a Millionaire? - with broadcasters in over 40 countries licensing the format and creating their own versions.

Let's face it......
Celebrity Game Face, which is hosted by and exec produced by Kevin Hart and Eniko Hart, is getting another five episodes at E!.
The show, which aired a special in July, will return to the NBCU cable network on August 27 at 10pm.
In the shot-at-home special, which comes from Critical Content and Hart's Hartbeat Productions, the pair led celeb couples Terry and Rebecca Crews, Sarah Hyland and her fiancé Wells Adams, and Joel and Sarah McHale to battle it out in a range of ridiculous physical challenges that viewers could play along with at home.
The new five episodes will also be shot at home.
The new eclebrity pairings include: Tracee Ellis Ross and brother Evan Ross, Meghan Trainor and brother Ryan Trainor, Brooklyn Decker and husband Andy Roddick, Rob Schneider and wife Patricia Maya Schneider, Niecy Nash and Wendy Raquel Robinson, Victor Cruz and girlfriend Karrueche Tran, Kelly Osbourne and brother Jack Osbourne, Loni Love and boyfriend James Welsh, Erin Andrews and Jarret Stoll, Terry Bradshaw and daughter Rachel Bradshaw, Raven-Symoné and wife Miranda Maday, Jamie Chung and husband Bryan Greenberg, Rob Riggle and Darren Leader, Mayim Bialik and friend Jonathan Cohen and Shanola Hampton and Daren Dukes.
Various games that are being played include "Big Facts", where partners must guess which personal fun facts are true or false, "Read My Lips" requires partners to guess phrases while wearing noise canceling headphones and "Booty Shake" where partners must use their best dance moves to empty as many balls out of a box wrapped around their waist in a matter of seconds.
Celebrity Game Face is exec produced by Kevin Hart, Jenny Daly, Tom Forman, Jon Beyer, Bryan Smiley, Mike Stein, Michael Canter and Jeff Krask. .

The Masked Singer is preparing to take to the mic again for ITV in September. The British version of the Korean singing contest is set to be among the first tranche of UK entertainment shows to be filmed in front of a live studio audience following the coronavirus pandemic.
Produced by Argonon-backed Bandicoot TV, the show will return to Bovingdon Studios, north of London, for its second season shoot, which will take place over eight nights starting on September 14.
SRO Audiences, which is handling ticketing for the show, said on its website that audience members will need to agree to detailed coronavirus guidance and protocols before attending. Those breaking rules will be removed or refused entry.

As it continues to expand its bouquet after its recent acquisition, leading advertising video-on-demand (AVOD) service Tubi has added FOX Entertainment's Ultimate Tag series to its streaming options.
In each episode of Ultimate Tag, everyday citizens compete in the game and must vault, dodge, tumble and dive over various epic, three-dimensional moving courses. Their one simple goal is not to get caught. As competitors progress, they are challenged to take on even more extreme courses and earn points for their performance in each game.
Chasing the contestants every step of the way are a variety of resident "professional" Taggers, larger-than-life characters who have a range of athletic skills. These Taggers are intermittently released into the course, and only the contestants who can outlast them the longest will secure their place in the championship game and a chance at a big cash prize. All ten episodes from Season One, are co-hosted by NFL superstar sibling trio J.J., T.J., and Derek Watt.

Closing Theme
That's it for this week. Today's consolation prize is Nicki Minaj's new children album set for this winter. Cardi B should've learned when to do a techno polka record in the first place. Jeez.
Madison: Game Show Live! is a presenation of Jackbox Media Services, Spy Fox Entertainment and Pluto TV Networks which may or may not be responsible for the mess we made. I'm not joking. Really.
