Well.......it's official.

CBS and Viacom are finally, really, back to together. Less than four months after announcing their intentions to rejoin as one company, the companies closed their merger on Wednesday, beginning the new ViacomCBS era.
The merger took effect following the closing bell on Wednesday.
ViacomCBS Inc. will begin trading on the Nasdaq on Thursday under ticker symbols VIACA and VIAC.
The move puts the CBS broadcast network, Viacom's stable of cable channels like MTV and Nickelodeon, and the Paramount film and TV studio under one roof.
The two companies agreed in August to an all-stock deal that valued Viacom at roughly $12 billion. CBS shareholders will own approximately 61% and Viacom shareholders will own approximately 39% of the new company. In making the announcement, ViacomCBS touted an annual revenue of $28 billion.

I'm Dealing Myself

ABC Entertainment and Fremantle announced today that actor and comedian Joel McHale is set to return as host of "Card Sharks," the suspenseful game where a fortune can be won on the turn of a single playing card! The show was recently picked up for a second season and is set to air in 2020.
McHale is best known for his starring role on the hit comedy series "Community," as well as host of E's "The Soup," which he hosted for 12 seasons. McHale also recently hosted "The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale" on Netflix, a half-hour topical series that took a sharp, absurdist look at pop culture and news from across the globe. His other feature roles include the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced, supernatural thriller "Deliver Us from Evil"; the Warner Bros' romantic comedy "Blended," alongside Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore; Seth MacFarlane's comedy smash "Ted"; Steven Soderbergh's "The Informant"; as well as "What's Your Number?," starring Chris Evans and Anna Faris. In 2014, McHale hosted the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner in Washington, D.C. He also hosted "The 2015 ESPYS" on ABC. In fall 2016, McHale released his first book through Putnam Penguin, "Thanks for the Money: How to Use My Life Story to Become the Best Joel McHale You Can Be," which is part memoir, part self-help guide. McHale is repped by UTA and Ziffren Brittenham LLP.
On "Card Sharks," the road to glory and riches begins with two players facing off in a head-to-head elimination race where the winning player claims a $10,000 cash prize and a chance to turn that amount into a life-changing payday.

Swearin' At The Savoy

Gordon Ramsay will open the doors to London’s iconic hotel The Savoy in a five-part docuseries for British broadcaster ITV.
Ramsay has run Savoy restaurant, the Savoy Grill, since 2003 and now his production company Studio Ramsay will take viewers behind the scenes at the luxury hotel over its winter season.
The Savoy will be filmed using fixed-rig cameras, which will provide a fly-on-the-wall glimpse behind the curtain of the hotel, showcasing its staff and guests.
Ramsay, Sebastian Grant and Lisa Edwards are the executive producers. Fernando De Jesus developed the show, which will be series directed by Sam Campbell and series produced by Naomi Gayler. It was commissioned by ITV’s Kate Teckman and Sue Murphy, the broadcaster’s head of factual entertainment.
But I swear.....

You can't make this....
Up.

Cash Trapped viewers will experience a first for the ITV game show when they tune in next week, witnessing a contestant quit the quiz – and give up the chance to win tens of thousands of pounds in the process.
Fronted by Bradley Walsh, Cash Trapped sees contestants play in teams of six, returning each time until one of them scoops the cash prize.
Contestants are free to bow out at the end of each episode, but in the show’s three-year history not one has ever chosen to – until now.
In the episode in question, Walsh routinely asks the contestants if they want to stay on and is shocked when one chooses to forfeit their place, admitting they miss their children.
The quizzer’s exit comes as the show prepares to see the longest run of returning contestants in its history, so it’s perhaps no surprise when Walsh admits: “I didn’t see that coming!”

And here's a "Playing It Forward" story.
Jessica Garsed, a former Jeopardy Champion, is helping out a local cause.
She was penalized on the show for leaving off the final 'S' in Omaha Steaks, which cost her $1,600.
That's when the Omaha Steaks company stepped in, and offered that $1,600 back, to the charity of her choice.
"I thought that was a really great gesture on their part. Because you know they didn't have to do that but not only does it show how generous they are but it also shows they have a sense of humor too. Because I actually got a note from the chairman of the company and he said he never realized how much an 's' cost," said Garsed.
Jessica chose to give the donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Bangor.
"I believe that it's really important to keep families together when people are going through medical treatment. Particularly children and I know people who've benefitted from Ronald McDonald House nationally and from Bangor. So it was kind of a no-brainer for me," said Garsed.
"It costs $75 to operate each room each night. Which is a huge cost and it has to be covered somehow so donations like this make that possible," said Rachael Severance, the Marketing Manager for the house.

Here to tell us something that you'll be getting for the holidays, is a 3-woman singing team of Carly Tefft, Kate Cameron and Britt Hill. Jam, ladies!
