Game Show Network turned 25 this week! Yes, from All About the Opposite sex to Wheel of Fortune, GSN played, slayed and got everyone paid. We went from what exactly what our line was to what America was actually saying. We started with a mascot named Winnie (I'm not joking), to a green spinning ball. We've experienced 5 decades of Feud and went through at least 3 decades of Price and survived 3 decades of <BLANK>. (If you know what is it, that BLANK is Match game.) We started it up from landline telephones and here we are with our smartphones and tablets while you stream and so do I. Despite all the changes we've been through, GSN stayed with us even when Buzzr finally showed what real competition is. And now with America Says, Common Knowledge, Catch 21 and a whole lot more, they gave us a greeting to you.......
Happy Quarterlife GSN, may the next decade forward won't be a huger step backwards.

The whatstrending.com Opening Toss-Up story.
It was a mighty fine week in game shows and somebody in the newsroom requested to wish someone a happy birthday to a certain somebody in general. We tried Melody Alanna, but she was too busy doing something else with her sister. So, we tried it again with Lilbumblebear from Twitch and that didn't work because she was busy doing graphic art for Twitch streamers. No such luck so far as we went to Kate Stark. She turned it down. Then we tried LVL_Up_Gaming.......they said no. Kim Crossman, Sarah Pribis, Anna Roisman, Devyn Howard, Matt Richards, Ashley Seal from the Peppa Pig tour......all turned it down one way or another. But we didn't give up hope. Until one faithful day in a snowy place somewhere in Utah accepted it and finally agreed. TheJayleeShow finally decided to pitch in but under one condition in her Twitch obligations. She decided to assist a fellow viewer via Discord in help with the singing. Well, we finally got it all on videotape and we're going to show it to the whole wide world. Roll the video tape, Sinema!

Christmas cards from Hallmark. This holiday season, give your loved ones something for the holidays. No, not socks and underwear.....greeting cards. They're creative, fun and can only be found at your local Hallmark store. Now back to our card up my sleeve, Pierre Kelly!
Me: Thank you Madi and welcome back. I guess she has a message for you all.....so Madi2theMax, the soapbox is all yours.
Amen to that. Maybe she can try Twitch. I know she'll learn how to play Jackbox with experts or engage in retro games. Oh, and she's also active on TikTok too for even more fun stuff. Now on with the news.
Former America's Got Talent judge Howard Stern is weighing in on the controversy surrounding the NBC reality competition series, following Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough's abrupt exits from the judges' panel — and he's pointing his finger at executive producer Simon Cowell.
"What he manages to do on all his shows is he constantly replaces the hot chicks with hotter chicks and younger chicks," Stern said Monday on his SiriusXM radio show. "He sets it up that the men stay, no matter how ugly they are, no matter how old they are, no matter how fat they are, no matter how talentless they are."
Stern, who was a judge from Season 7 to Season 10, called America's Got Talent "the ultimate example of a boys' club."
Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough will not be returning as judges for Season 15 of "America's Got Talent," an individual with knowledge of the situation confirms. Shortly after, sources told entertainment news site LoveBScott that there was a racist and sexist culture behind the scenes, alleging that Union was fired for bringing "problematic" on-set situations to light.
Variety also published follow-up reports about a toxic culture at the show.
NBC, Fremantle and production company Syco released the following joint statement on Sunday, Dec. 1: "We remain committed to ensuring a respectful workplace for all employees and take very seriously any questions about workplace culture. We are working with Ms. Union through her representatives to hear more about her concerns, following which we will take whatever next steps may be appropriate."
No word yet as to their replacements, although executive producer and judge Simon Cowell is expected to return, as well as long-time judge Howie Mandel and host Terry Crews.
Both Union and Hough joined the show in January 2019 when former judges Heidi Klum and Mel B exited due to other commitments.
Time's Up, the women's advocacy network, has weighed in on the much-talked-about and controversial dismissal of Union from NBC's America's Got Talent after she called out incidents of workplace toxicity she encountered and witnessed while she was a judge on the reality competition series.
"Gabrielle Union's experience at America's Got Talent is exemplary of the double bind that black women face at work," said Tina Tchen, president and CEO of Time's Up Now in a statement. "Not only did Union reportedly endure and witness racist and inappropriate behavior – including racially-insensitive comments and excessive criticism about her physical appearance – but it also appears she was punished for speaking out: the company labeled her as 'difficult' before ousting her from the show altogether."

Interestingly, despite reports of a negative work environment at AGT, Hough denied to Variety that she had experienced toxic behavior while on the show: "I had a wonderful time on America's Got Talent… working with the cast, crew and producers. I am happy to continue my working relationship with NBC."
Elsewhere, NBC now has a potential labor landmine under its feet with Union's forced-march exit from America's Got Talent. Just hours after the Comcast-owned network finally put out a statement that seemed to recognize the gravity of the situation and the allegations of racial and other discriminatory practices at work on the Simon Cowell-created competition series, SAG-AFTRA has turned a new spotlight on the matter."
On a more positive note, I think It's time we do the Dish of the day, so Ms. Vasko, where's the theme music?
now to the news.
Andy Samberg is going meta with Quibi. The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star will host a cooking competition about bite-sized foods on the tech platform that plans to roll out its series in morsels.
Samberg will host "Biggest Little Cook-Off," which Quibi describes as "a comedic competition series where the stakes are big and the plates are small."
In an absurd showdown, two top chefs will battle to create the most delicious, salivating, mouth-watering, scrumptious … single bite of food," according to the mobile-first media technology platform. It continued: "Can these highly skilled chefs make spaghetti and meatballs on a plate the size of a dime? Sushi on a single grain of rice? Find out in 'Biggest Little Cook-Off.'"
"Anyone who knows me knows I love dinky stuff. So when this show about dinky food came my way I said, 'I like the dinky food,'" Samberg, who is also an executive producer, said in a statement. "I'm excited to bring my expertise in dinky things to the dinky cooking arena, and I'm also excited to bring a bag lunch, because the food is so dinky I'm for sure going to still be hungry after the shows."
Michael Rosenstein, Stephen Kroopnick and Stu Schreiberg will executive produce alongside Samberg. The series is produced by Triage Entertainment, a Levity Live company.
Quibi launches on April 6, 2020.
Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman return to test the skills of twelve new talented young bakers to see who will measure up on the new season of Kids Baking Championship, premiering on Monday, January 6th at 9pm ET/PT. Over the course of ten weeks, the kid bakers, ranging in age from 10 to 13, will whisk through new confectionery challenges. The one with the most delectable desserts will rise to the top and earn $25,000, a feature in Food Network Magazine, and the title of Kids Baking Champion!
"The return of Kids Baking Championship is the sweetest way to kick off the New Year, as viewers delight in watching the competition together as a family," said Courtney White, President, Food Network. "The new season promises more laughter and fun with Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli, as well as impressive desserts from the kid bakers."
Throughout the season, the kid contestants show off their creativity and baking talents in tough challenges that even seasoned experts would find difficult. From 3D dinosaur cookies, to Neapolitans desserts, to ice cream cone cupcakes, and trifles, they will be tested on their baking and decorating abilities to impress Duff and Valerie with the taste and presentation of their sweet treats. The bakers will also have to tackle other delectable desserts including creative fruit cakes, potato print cookies, and the classic dessert imposter challenge returns as well, with a new surprising twist.

Janice Gabrelow will begin with......
"I’m watching Catch 21 right now. Whitney doesn’t look at the cards when she deals them. Micki gave a little suspense. Go back to the old show."
Guess Top Card got their money's worth, but she also says:
"Sorry, but I don’t like Whitney as much as Micki. She is lacking personality. Go back to dancing. Sorry."
Um......let's go to Vickie Collier.
"Nothing like being entertainingly PC, GSN- John Michael Higgins, popping out of an Advent Calendar, to the tune of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” BUT wishing us “Happy Holidays”
Did Elizabeth Banks provide backup? Anyways, we go on to Sharon O' Hearn.
"So glad to see some shows that I watched way back (not telling you how far back) but I do like some of the new shows."
And we go on to Rebekah Ard.
"Watching various Game Shows is interesting and can be educational. Common Knowledge Questions is very inspirational & educational! I've learned alot that I didn't know before hand!!"
Indeed. Next up, Stacy Richards.
"What happened to The Chase? I would just make it home from work everyday to catch the Beast. Please bring it back"
It's gone. Kaput. Next is Dr. Shauna Smith.
"Is it just me? I'm not feeling the "New Catch 21." However, I love the "Old Catch 21." Please bring back the "Old Catch 21" and get rid of the "New Catch 21" please..."
We're all confused. The new one had a few wrinkles while the old one was more vibrant. Alice post goes up next.
"Why will you not bring back Idiotest??? One of the best shows w Ben Gleib !!!????? You bring back 21, which sucks then and now !! Host talks so much I just don’t watch !! The Chase ! Great show , it’s now gone , reruns are gone ! So sad !!"
Um.....I say Ben Gleib is in a middle of a presidential campaign..........I think. Janetta Dudek will end the segment.
"This is about the only channel worth watching anymore! The only thing better that could’ve occurred with your trio of John Michael Higgins, Joey Fatone and Alphonso Ribeiro singing ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ would’ve been to have Ben Bailey as a quartet!"
That would've worked.
On to a Gamestop Game Break. Test your knowledge about holiday shopping.
Last year alone, an average of how much was spent during the holidays?
I'll give you a shot at thinking about it after a Google Play music interlude because it's the holiday season, we have a proud canadian by the name of Elly Thorn paying tribute to a Christmas classic.

The Lightning rant. 90 seconds to talk about why DWTS should be fixed starting from......
Now.
It seems that all these years DWTS gets better and better with every routine and theme, but when Bobby Bones decided to sign up......he thought the public treat him as a joke. Not this time. After his controversial win, it eliminated the spring edition and kept it yearly. The most recent season had Sean Spicer. Many htought he would be gone in 2 weeks. Guess what? He went farther beyond that. I have no idea why Sean would be such a terrible yet terrific dancer. Now that's it all over......finally, I say we think next season will be better. The bottom 2 couples would do a dance off for a shot to redeem themselves or go home. That could work instead of thinking it's a popularity contest. Look what American Idol has done over the years. Also, bring back teh results show the next day. It was the most important part of the DWTS culture in its early years. Next, give a couple a head start by letting the internet vote for the best routine and award them a bonus of 10 points to give it an edge and advantage to the competition. And finally, by any means necessary, use social media to like Twitter to put one couple up for immunity based on scoring. That's what would make DWTS work, but what do you think?
That's it for this week. Today's lump of coal in the stocking is a Pelotin Bike. Ride along while you watch It's A Wonderful Life. So far, I'm gotten up to the halfway point of the movie, but I crash after I go eat a banana and watch MGHSH reruns on Pluto Tv's Buzzr channel.
Don't forget to email me at kellypierre8@gmail.com, coppockonsports@yahoo.com, Pierre Jason Kelly on FB and @Johnny_Arcade on twitter. Also I'm on Snapchat as MisterGSN and Instagram as Mister_WCW. We will return next Wednesday, and until we return, Play on playas.
