 The whatstrending.com Opening Toss-Up story.

On Monday’s episode of Jeopardy!, contestant Dhruv Gaur did something quite remarkable. It had nothing to do with breaking some winning streak—in fact, Gaur lost. But it’s how he lost that made him a winner in the eyes of the internet (and host Alex Trebek).
During Final Jeopardy, Trebek asked Gaur for his final answer, which was “What is we love you, Alex!”

Trebek thanked him and immediately got choked up. Gaur later took to Twitter to give some context to his answer:
Alex had just shared with us that he was reentering treatment for pancreatic cancer. We were all hurting for him so badly. When Final Jeopardy came up, I could’ve tried to puzzle it together, but really, just kept thinking about Alex, and thought he should know. I’m just very grateful I got the opportunity to say what I know everyone was thinking. Sending all the love. #weloveyoualex

Nickelodeon is celebrating the holidays with a new competition series, Top Elf, premiering Friday, Nov. 29, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT).
Across five one-hour episodes, seven kid "Elf-testants" with extraordinary building and design skills compete in festive challenges to become Santa's 'Top Elf' and have their wish lists granted - not for themselves, but for good causes in their hometowns. Top Elf airs Fridays at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon, with the season finale airing Saturday, Dec. 21, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT).
In Top Elf, Santa (Tommy Snider) and Ms. Jingles (Samantha Turret) invite seven civilian "Elf-testants" to the North Pole to test their skills in a series of holiday-themed challenges, from designing their own life-sized gingerbread clubhouses, to reimagining Santa's sleigh, to creating giant 3-D holiday cards. And of course, building new toys!
Each "Elf-testant" is paired with one of Santa's elves who help bring their visions to life. Meet the elves: Chip Snuggles (Rudy Martinez), Nog Shimmerhorn (David Magidoff), Ginger O'Tingleton (Jenna Wright), Merry Sparkleberry (Nataliz Jimenez), Tinsel Turtledove (Ashley August), Zippy Twinkles (Davied Morales) and Stretch McDancerpants (Eric Stretch).
The seven skillful "Elf-testants" competing this season are: Aiko from New York; Allison from Walnut, Calif.; Briana from Los Angeles; Cameron from Georgetown, Ky.; Hopper from Highland Park, Texas; Hud from Oxford, Miss.; and Justice from Jamaica, N.Y.
At the end of each episode, "Elf-testants" are judged by Santa, Ms. Jingles and a celebrity guest to decide who is on the "nice" or "naughty" list and one step closer to being named Top Elf. Celebrity guest judges helping Santa and Ms. Jingles find the Top Elf are: Frankie Grande, Amirah Kassem, Peyton List, Alex Wassabi and Pete Wentz.
Top Elf's original concept was created by Mike Duffy and Tim Duffy of Ugly Brother Studios, who executive produce the series along with Jimmy Fox of Main Event Media, an All3Media America company. Bob Schermerhorn (Project Runway All Stars, America's Next Top Model) and Lisa Fletcher (The Titan Games) are executive producers, with Fletcher also serving as the showrunner. Nickelodeon's Vice Presidents of Unscripted Content Paul J Medford and Mandel Ilagan also serve as executive producers. The series is directed by Michael Pearlman (Chopped, Project Runway All Stars). Production of Top Elf for Nickelodeon is overseen by Rob Bagshaw, Executive Vice President, Unscripted Content.

And in more than 25 words comes this story....

Fox Corp.'s station group has renewed 25 Words or Less, a new game show hosted and produced by Meredith Vieira, for a second season.
Fox's station unit has 28 full-power stations in markets including nine of the top 10 largest in the U.S. In addition to serving as key strategic platforms for promoting sports and primetime programming, the stations also are valuable real estate in syndication.
"Every day, America welcomes us into their homes to laugh, cry and play," said Stephen Brown, Fox Television Stations EVP Programming and Development. "We are part of their everyday ritual and we look forward to being there for a long time to come."

The Chase may be gone from GSN.....reruns, that is but the original may run on to 2020. Or is it?

The Chase host Bradley Walsh has announced there will be a new Chaser joining the team of formidable quiz-masters on the show.
Walsh, who has presented the show since it began in 2009, has promised that the show is set to undergo a "shake-up" when it returns to air at the start of 2020, hinting that the current crop of quizzing experts – The Beast, The Vixen, The Sinnerman, The Governess and The Dark Destroyer – could be joined by not one, but multiple new chasers.
Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com, the charismatic host and Doctor Who star said: "We're making more and more shows all the time, so we need to recruit more people all the time. "So consequently, we have put our feelers out to find other people that will be suitable, and all will be revealed next year.".

In addition to the Coca Cola Cinnamon they got, we tried to get the newsroom to do it but they were too busy drinking new holiday drinks from Starbucks. I must love that new gingerbread frapp.
