Me: Thank you Madi2theMax, welcome to Livewire!  After giving out candy hearts and greting cards yesterday, we're about to give out a love story between reality and game shows. Where do we begin? And why do I have to get this stupid theme from "Love Story" out of my head? I need to listen to "The Standard" a little less and listen to Meri Amber's music. But we're here to listen to us.......get wired!!!!!

Brooke Burgstahler has been cast on GH as Zoey, someone who will cross paths with two men in Port Charles. Burgstahler has had small roles in the TV shows Black-ish and Or Die Trying.

One viewer sent a tweet to our servers about.....The Great Sewing Bee......yes, it's a real show.....and she said.....

Joe will host this year as the ten contestants battle to be named Britain’s Best Home sewist. As per previous years, they will be under the watchful eyes of judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young.
Joe kicked off his career as a stand-up comedian and has also hosted a BBC game show called The Time It Takes. We're looking forward to seeing more of his presenting skills as Sewing Bee continues.

In case we left the memo in the meeting room, RET Worldwide is 10 years old. Can you believe it? It's a coincidence it came around the same time as the analog shutdown. Ironic. And here's a retrospective to show us why retro still rules.

 And because you've been a good boy....or girl.....here's Tellymime on a countdown focusing on a 90's detective show. Hint: It's not L&O.

Call Blocked!

It’s closing time for Last Call With Carson Daly: The NBC late-night series is coming to an end after 17 years on the air, TVLine has learned.
Daly has decided to step away from the talk show in order to spend more time with his family and concentrate on his other hosting jobs at Today and The Voice.
“If you had told me in 2002 I would be a part of the historic NBC late-night family for 17 years, I would have said you were crazy!” Daly said in a statement. “Hard to believe it’s been so long — 2,000 episodes. It’s time to move on to something new and let someone else have access to this incredible platform. My twenties were about finding a good job. My thirties were about taking on as many of them as I could. Now, in my forties, I’m focused on quality over quantity. I want to do more with my Today family and continue hosting and producing The Voice and explore new opportunities.”
He continued: “I’m forever grateful and proud to all who have worked with us at Last Call over the years. So many have gone on to achieve incredible success… I could have all the jobs in the world, but none of them are more important to me than that of Dad. My family will always remain my top priority and greatest gig.”

The Steve Harvey money machine just keeps on rolling along.
The latest enterprise by the ubiquitous TV and radio host is Steve Harvey Deals, a website offering discounts on products and services.
“You buy whatever you were going to buy and you get a discount,” Harvey said at a press conference announcing the venture last weekend before hosting “NFL Honors,” a CBS primetime special from Atlanta. “The best way to have money is to keep it. When I’m in a store, I’m hustling, looking for bargains.”
Initial participating companies in Steve Harvey Deals are Holiday Inn Express, 1-800-Flowers, Budget and PureTalk. More are expected to follow.
Formed in conjunction with Atlanta-based Rhythmic Ventures and operated by BrandON Enterprises Limited, the new platform “leverages Harvey’s huge popularity and reach with his daily morning radio show and multiple television programs,” according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

ABC will air a special first-look episode of "Videos After Dark," a new comedy reality series hosted by comedian Bob Saget and featuring home videos with an edgier twist, TUESDAY, MARCH 12 (10:00- 11:00 p.m. EDT), following the epic conclusion to the two-night season finale of "The Bachelor," on The ABC Television Network.
Following the notable success of the original franchise, the producers of "America's Funniest Home Videos" have created a new comedy reality series, "Videos After Dark," featuring comedian Bob Saget. As the original host of "America's Funniest Home Videos," Saget is no stranger to the world of home videos, and this hour-long episode will center on videos from Vin Di Bona's vast video vault, highlighted by Saget's comedic commentary and catered to a more mature audience. "Videos After Dark" reunites Vin Di Bona and Bob Saget in a show where the hits are a little harder, the language a bit saltier, the animals a little less cute, the kids a tad less adorable and the embarrassing moments more revealing.

You don’t have to be a game show fanatic to enjoy the enthralling celebration of chance on display in the 2018 documentary Game Changers. Now streaming on Prime VideoGame Changers is just about as must-see as it gets for anyone who’s ever found themselves shouting answers at their TV while watching JeopardyFamily Feud, or The Price is Right.
Hosted by living legend Alex Trebek, the doc explores the rich history of the genre by interviewing a veritable who’s who of game show legends, including Monty Hall, Bob Eubanks, Wink Martindale, Pat Sajak, Vanna White, and many more. While the nostalgic stroll down memory lane is entertaining, the most compelling aspect of Game Changers is, naturally, all that hot game show gossip.

How about a little love song from JJ Heller to end the day?

That's all for now, but remember one thing: Will there ever be a Great Crossword Puzzle bee? I hope Merv Griffin is smiling in heaven.....
So until next time and all the time....play on playas.
