ABC is switching things up at the top: Channing Dungey is stepping down as the Alphabet network’s entertainment president, after serving in that position for nearly three years.
Karey Burke, the current head of original programming at Freeform, will take over as ABC’s entertainment president, the network announced on Friday. Burke will be responsible for all development, programming and scheduling for ABC’s primetime and late-night lineups, and will report to Dana Walden once the Disney/Fox merger is complete.
“I’m grateful to Channing for her significant contributions and unwavering dedication to the success of ABC over the past 14 years,” Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a statement. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to work with and mentor Channing; her curiosity, passion and creativity will ensure she is successful in whatever path she chooses going forward. Over the past four years at Freeform, and throughout her career, Karey has proven herself a gifted leader with a strong track record of developing unique programming. Karey’s attention to, and intimate knowledge of, the audience, and a commitment to quality will be a great addition to the creative team at ABC.”

Drew Carey and fiancée Dr. Amie Harwick ended their engagement after less than a year, Us Weekly reports.
The two sparked dating speculation last year in June when Carey, 60, shared an Instagram photo with Harwick, 37. "Had an awesome time w [Harwick] watching @kaskade in #Vegas during #EDC week :)" he captioned the photo at the time.
Harwick recently shared a photo of herself going solo to a family wedding in her hometown of Lansdale, Pennsylvania. "It felt so good to reconnect to where I’m from this weekend for a family wedding," she wrote on Instagram. "Embracing fall, changing colors of leaves, gloves and scarves, hot drinks, comfort food, and loved ones."
The last time she shared a photo with Carey was in September at a Rock to Recovery event. Carey, who is less active on social media that Harwick, last shared a photo with Harwick in February.

No, Seriously, who was that masked singer?

Fox has released a nearly full performance from The Masked Singer, and whether it gets your wheels turning may foretell your enjoyment of this upcoming game show competition series.
Based on an international format and (of course) hosted by Nick Cannon, The Masked Singer (premiering Wednesday, Jan. 2) features singing celebrities shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, complete with full face mask to conceal his or her identity. With each performance, the host, panelists, audience, viewers and even the other contestants are left guessing who is singing behind the mask.
The Season 1 roster of masked singers ranges from “Grammy Award winners to legendary athletes, and everything in between,” says Fox — and the singers may attempt to throw the crowd off of their scent, while keen observers might pick up on tiny clues buried throughout the show. One singer will be eliminated each week, ultimately revealing his or her true identity.

What, you wanna see it? Alright fine. Roll it Sinema!

After a bit of a minor ligament injury and some 4-day physical therapy, we finally bring back.....

Now for our recurring segment......

Country singer (and season 10 America’s Got Talent finalist) Benton Blount was four shows into a seven-show run opening for ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons when he was reportedly kicked off the tour. His removal followed his posting of a photo of himself wearing a MAGA hat and an “I Voted” sticker and holding a Chick-Fil-A sandwich on Facebook with the caption “Someone reading this just got offended multiple times. My work here is done! #Vote,” which also apparently led to him being banned from Facebook for 24 hours. Blount told The Greenville News that he was notified by Gibbons’ management upon arriving to the venue on Thursday that he was removed from the tour, and that the reason for his temporary Facebook ban was that his post “did not meet community standards.”
Upon returning to Facebook, he posted a video explaining the situation, and also wrote: “I was banned from Facebook (for 24 hours) and now I’ve just been banned from my opening spot on the Billy Gibbons tour. But suppression of Conservative opinion doesn’t happen and it doesn’t affect your career!” You can view the video below.
Today, he posted a longer statement, which reads:
I have let it ride for a few days because I wanted to see how bad it would actually get. If you want to see how the party of acceptance and tolerance really treats people, look at any of the National headlines that have been posted about me this week, at the love videos that I posted, and even some of my families pictures.
Some vile nasty creatures have crawled out of humanities sewer and decided to do everything from celebrate my removal because of my political affiliation, all the way to wish me and my family ill will and even injury.
It reinforces why I have always felt that it’s important for everyone to be able to give and have differing opinions.
For the longest time, I had a few liberal friends that would argue that this type of language doesn’t come from their party. I’m glad at least now people can see it for themselves.
A spokesperson for Billy Gibbons said “Benton Blount was disinvited to continue the tour because of a creative decision.” Gibbons himself has not commented.
