Katherine McPhee may have been in Smash, but she is about to make a marriage to David Foster a smash real soon.

The singer and actress' representative confirmed to People that Katharine and David are engaged.

Katharine, 34, posted a screenshot July 4 on Instagram of a text message between Just Jared founder Jared Eng and herself, writing that 68-year-old David popped the question during their vacation to Italy, which the couple had documented on social media earlier this week.

"He did it at the top of this mountain in Anacapri," Katharine apparently told Jared. "Totally dark, only stars. Thankfully he didn't push me off the cliff. He said it was one or the other. And in the end he spared me."

Jared seemed thrilled for his pal, gushing about how David had done "a mighty fine job" with Katharine's engagement ring being it's "beautiful and classic."

The couple first sparked romance rumors in May 2017 when they were spotted getting cozy in Malibu.

David's daughter Erin later prompted even more speculation when she referred to her dad and Katharine as "my parents" on social media in September.

Months later, Katharine addressed all the chatter about her alleged romance in Health magazine's December issue.

"I'm pretty single. I had a relationship with [Scorpion co-star Elyes Gabel] that was almost two years," Katharine said. "But I haven't had anything super serious since."

She added at the time, "[David and I are] very close friends, and we've been friends for a long time... I'm really, really fond of him and I think he's an incredible person. I've known him since I was 21 years old, you know? He produced my first single. So he's been really good to me. People can say whatever they want."

Yvette Nicole Brown was hoping to replace Chris Hardwick in the "Talking Dead," but she had other plans.

Brown, who will moderate the Walking Dead panel at Comic-Con later this month — a job long held by Hardwick — tweeted on Wednesday that she is merely “filling in for a friend” at the annual fan convention. Hardwick, of course, is being replaced in the wake of sexual assault allegations leveled against him in June by ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra — allegations he has since denied.
Though Brown did not specifically name Hardwick in her tweet, her post also seemed to address growing speculation that she will take over Hardwick’s role as host of Talking Dead, AMC’s Walking Dead aftershow on which she has appeared multiple times.
Following Dykstra’s accusations against Hardwick, AMC has pulled Talking With Chris Hardwick from the schedule indefinitely. He was also slated to moderate Doctor Who‘s panel at Comic-Con, but a replacement host for that event has yet to be announced

“The Bachelorette” was all about romance Monday night — and promoting the state of Virginia. However, not many viewers were up for the trip to the Old Dominion, even though VA’s official slogan is “Virginia is for lovers.”  If fans were looking for somewhere a little more “traditionally” amorous, well, sorry.
Becca Kufrin and her boys headed to Richmond on the state tourism board’s dime and were probably a little too into the history-packed field trip, ’cause fans took to Twitter to call BS.
“No offense to the state of Virginia, but by week 6 of the Bachelorette these guys were definitely expecting to be in Italy,” one user tweeted. “This is the most low budget season I’ve seen. Only ONE randomly placed hot tub and no yachts yet!!!”
“I still can’t get over the fact that ABC took the bachelorette crew to freaking Richmond, Virginia,” another wrote.
Hey, now!
OK, it probably didn’t help that this installment of the ABC dating series opened with a four-minute pitch for why Virginia is the best place ever to fall in love. Yeah, the pitch for the Commonwealth was pretty heavy-handed. And then Leo also said this, “Just like Virginia birthed the nation, I hope that it births a relationship that really lasts with Becca.”

On to a new segment on Livewire! entitled.....

Think About this. This is where we ask you questions taken from local libraries, universities, pub quizzes and any book store in america and let your brain gets a little tougher. So think hard......and even harder.

Here is your question:
According to the film website Rotten Tomatotes, what was considered the worst children's animated film of all time and had a score of only 8%?

While you think on it, Ms. Vasko, a little music please......

Time's up. The question again: According to the film website Rotten Tomatotes, what was considered the worst children's animated film of all time and had a score of only 8%?

A: The Magic Roundabout or Doogal.

According to William H. MacyHarvey Weinstein saw the film and decided to do an American version. On 24 February 2006, the film was released in the United States as Doogal, and was produced by The Weinstein Company. In the United States version, where audiences aren't as familiar with the series, the majority of original United Kingdom voices have been dubbed over by celebrities more familiar to the United States, such as Chevy Chase (Train), Jimmy Fallon (Dylan), Whoopi Goldberg (Ermintrude), William H. Macy (Brian), Kevin Smith (Elk) and Jon Stewart (Zeebad). Daniel Tay plays the titular character in the United States dub.
Only two original voices remained those of Kylie Minogue and Ian McKellen, Minogue, however, re-voiced her own lines with an American accent. The United States version also features Daniel Tay (Doogal), Bill Hader (Sam) and Judi Dench (narrator). Writer Butch Hartman (The Fairly OddParents) rewrote the dialogue in the film to make it more appealing to American audiences, but in the end, most of his rewrites were discarded, instead, the final version had numerous references and flatulence jokes, which weren't in his initial script. Hartman revealed in 2017 that the film was originally supposed to include a live-action frame story similar to The Princess Bride but was scrapped due to budget costs.[

According to the consensus: "Overloaded with pop culture references, but lacking in compelling characters and plot, Doogal is too simple-minded even for the kiddies";[7] the website ranked it the 82nd worst reviewed movie of the 2000s.[8]It has a score of 23 out of 100 ("generally unfavorable") on Metacritic, and an F rating from Entertainment Weekly writing that "very young children should be angry... where is it written that 4-year-olds don't deserve a good story, decent characters, and a modicum of coherence?". It was placed #5 on Ebert & Roeper's Worst of 2006. Michael Phillip of the Chicago Tribunedescribed the film as "Eighty-five minutes you'll never get back."

Think about that.

The Spice Girls are finally getting back together!
The 43-year-old singer and "America's Got Talent" judge, born Melanie Brown, confirmed on Wednesday's episode of "Today" that the British girl group will be getting back together.
"I'm the only one that keeps on saying, 'We're gonna be performing,' which we are gonna be performing," she told host Hoda Kotb. "Finally they got it together."
Mel B dismissed bandmate Victoria Beckham's comments about how the group won't be reuniting.
"She's always bloody saying that. Stop it! We are touring!," she said. "Yes, we are going to be doing performances together, for sure."

Dare is a Demand Side

One of YouTube’s biggest stars has returned to the video site’s paywalled subscription platform. Liza Koshy, who recently surpassed 15 million subscribers on her personal channel, is the star of Liza On Demanda comedy series now available for YouTube Premium subscribers.
The attitude of Koshy’s character in Liza On Demand is laid out in the show’s first scene, during her argument with a bratty Uber customer. “I am ‘gig economy or die’ all day,” Koshy boasts. The series followers her adventures in the world of tasks, where she is joined by friends portrayed by castmates Kimiko Glenn and Travis Coles.
Liza On Demand was announced last year, with digital comedy network Above Average serving as its producer. This is Koshy’s second appearance on YouTube Premium; back when the platform was still known as YouTube Red, Koshy starred in Jingle Ballin’, a 2016 Christmas special that was also produced by Above Average.
The launch of Liza On Demand comes during a busy week for the show’s star. On Monday, the first episode of the rebooted version of the Nickelodeon game show Double Dare premiered, with Koshy serving as its host. That episode arrived just days after Koshy made her first-ever appearance on a late night TV show, in which she chatted about Canada, breakups, and more alongside Late Show host Stephen Colbert.

Nothing says summer like SHARK WEEK and this year the pop culture phenomenon kicks off its 30th anniversary on Sunday, July 22 and continues through Sunday, July 29 on Discovery Channel. Over three decades, the eagerly awaited summer TV event has become the destination for must-watch shark programming, and this year Guy Fieri, host of Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, is embarking on a very different dive experience. SHARK WEEK 2018 will combine the best of science and technology to capture the secret lives of sharks, and find better ways to share the oceans we co-inhabit.
An expert in the culinary world, Guy Fieri has finally met his match when he goes spikes to fins with the ultimate feeding machines of the sea in GUY FIERI'S FEEDING FRENZY. Guy and his son, Hunter, head to the Bahamas to experience local cuisine and explore the waters around these islands, and understand what makes them the perfect all-you-can-eat buffet for a wide variety of shark species.
"Like everyone else, I'm a big time Shark Week fan so to be able to hit the Bahamas with my son, Hunter, and get in on the action was an amazing experience," said Fieri. "Checkin' out some killer local joints and then tryin' not to become a shark's lunch... now that's a good time!"
For thirty years, SHARK WEEK has given viewers extensive insight into the mysterious world of sharks - taking them where cameras have never been before. This year, Discovery will employ new technology, from genetic profiling to miniaturized camera tags, to combine the best of science and technology to capture the fascinating and misunderstood behavior of sharks. In addition, Discovery will leave no shark fan behind, bringing the SHARK WEEK experience to viewers in new and innovative ways through digital and social media platforms, partnerships with nonprofit groups, affiliates, education programs, and more.
