Back to the news.
You Bettah Werk....for a talk show......
RuPaul, the Emmy-winning host of "RuPaul's Drag Race" is bringing his personality to the daytime space, filming a talk show pilot for Telepictures, Variety has learned exclusively.
The show is scheduled for a 2019 launch and will be filmed in front of a live audience. The show will feature the host bringing his unique, positive and aspirational point of view to the format, interviewing celebrities, giving beauty and glam tips, playing games, and dishing on pop culture. He's not expected to do cooking or exercise segments, which have been typical daytime fare. Frequent collaborator Michelle Visage is also expected to play a major role.
Telepictures, the Syndication production arm of Warner Bros., is also behind Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, as well as "The Real," which was recently renewed for two seasons. The hope is that his unique flair will help the show stand out, given that other celebrity-driven talk shows have faltered, including efforts from Katie Couric, Meredith Vieira, and HARRY Connick Jr.
But what does it remind you of?
The RuPaul show. Way back in 1996 on VH1 when it was all about music videos....and none of the Love & Hip-hop stuff. If he....er, she....er whatver can do it again....fine.
And as far as RUpaul's Drag race is concerned, There’s also a Hulu series in development based on his life and an upcoming Netflix show called A.J. and the Queen, not to mention Gay for Play, the Match Game-like Logo game show he’s been hosting for a little over two years, and a recurring role on the fourth season of Broad City. He’s definitely been working on expanding his portfolio over the past few years, and a daytime talk show seems like a natural fit for the onetime host of late ‘90s VH1 talk show The RuPaul Show.
The filming demands of a daytime talk show do seem pretty grueling, especially if it’s producing five new episodes a week. Would this as yet untitled program, should it get picked up, spell the end of RuPaul’s run hosting Drag Race? The show can exist without its titular star, if Drag Race Thailand is anything to go by. We reached out to RuPaul’s agent for comment and will update the story when we hear back.
And now for a Buzz'd Out shameless plug of some sort.....
Our #gameshowhost is performing in #LasVegas!! Come check out his daring magic trick at this fun show! #magicshow #vegasbound pic.twitter.com/FiQFUQiww8— BUZZ'D OUT (@BUZZD_OUT) July 19, 2018
And now......Break Room Cooking with the Feast of Fiction crew.
And to end the show, let's introduce Killarney Star to the blog. She is from FLorida, a singer and songwriter who by next month is packing everything into an RV and going on the road for a year of house concerts. Bring on Memphis! And she may join the motley crew of people who live in an RV for adventure and leisure and here is one of her songs along with a story behind it.

That's all for now, but remember one thing: Don't let ABC move the Sunday Fun & Games lineup to Saturday, okay?
