Welcome back to Game Show Live!  Later on, we check in with Miss Movies about the reaction to Beauty and The Beast getting banned in some cities.

(song stops)

But before we do that, I want to bring up that Beauty And The Beast impressions video one more time because.....I love you guys.

Now then. GSN has got a new qcquistion on their hands. Do you know what it is?

That's right. Cash Cab. A popular Discovery channel show Ben Bailey played taxi driver to and made it his hit show. The objective was to answer questions for cash without getting 3 strikes while reaching to where they're going. Interesting show GSN wanted, but I'm hoping it will stay here.

The AGT hosting talent search continues.

Comedian and actor Marlon Wayans, former Disney actor Brandon Mychal Smith and comedian Tone Bell are in the running to succeed Nick Cannon as the host of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, after he left the show last month. However, Cannon is wondering why each of the potential hosts are black.
When asked by TMZ’s cameras early this morning (Mar. 6) about who he’s hoping will get the job out of the three choices, Cannon said, “why are they going with the black guys?”

“They can’t even get some[one] white?” he asked the cameraman. “I think Mario Lopez should do it! Let Mario do that [job]!”

According to a Facebook post written by the comedian last month, Cannon was threatened with termination by NBC executives several times, but the nail in the coffin was when they confronted him about his comedy special Stand Up, Don’t Shoot, where he used the n-word multiple times.
“Not to get too detailed but this isn’t the first time executives have attempted to “put me in my place” for so called unruly actions,” he wrote in his lengthy Facebook post. “I will not stand for it… I wish AGT and NBC the best in its upcoming season but I can not see myself returning.”

It's a great place to stay.......for Team Ninja Warrior.

Epic competition series TEAM NINJA WARRIOR is bringing more heat to USA Network's Tuesday night line-up. Hosted by comedian Matt Iseman and former NFL player Akbar Gbajabiamila, TEAM NINJA WARRIOR will premiere its 11-part second season on USA beginning Tuesday, April 18 at 10/9c, immediately following WWE SMACKDOWN.
TEAM NINJA WARRIOR, part of the Emmy® nominated franchise "American Ninja Warrior," pits three-person athletic teams against each other on physically demanding, side-by-side obstacle courses that test both endurance and speed. Originally debuting on Esquire Network in 2016, TEAM NINJA WARRIOR ranked as the network's most watched original series in its history. Esquire recently announced that the network, a partnership between NBCUniversal and Hearst Magazines, will transform into a digital-only brand.

"TEAM NINJA WARRIOR is a perfect pairing to WWE SMACKDOWN," said Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. "With this powerful franchise, we're giving our passionate audience three full hours of jam-packed, high-stakes action every Tuesday night."

For Season 2, fan-favorite competitors from "American Ninja Warrior" will form 28 teams, each with two men and one woman, and settle their rivalries on the warped wall -- for ultimate ninja bragging rights. In addition to hosts Iseman and Gbajabiamila, FOX Sports' Alex Curry will serve as sideline reporter, rounding out the talent commentators.
TEAM NINJA WARRIOR is executive-produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions' founders Arthur Smith and Kent Weed ("Hell's Kitchen," "The Dunk King," "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge"), along with Brian Richardson as executive producer. The series is a spin-off of "American Ninja Warrior" which is based on the "Sasuke/Ninja Warrior" format from Tokyo Broadcasting System Television, Inc., and airs on NBC.

Now if they can revive the USA Cartoon Express......

Here's something to make you flip. Cooking Channel highlights fresh seasonal ingredients this April on the new series Farmers' Market Flip premiering Thursday, April 20th at 10pmET/7pmPT when two teams of chefs will be pitted against each other to find the best the farmers' market has to offer and cook the most delicious gourmet meal for the judges. Host Jeff Mahin presides over this creative culinary competition in which only one team will take home the ultimate prize and bragging rights!

Hatsa La Pasta, baby!

Arnold Schwarzenegger won’t return to host NBC’s reality competition if it returns for another season, he told Empire magazine on Friday. “I learned a lot, I had a great time, it was a really great opportunity,” Schwarzenegger said. “But under the circumstances, I don’t want to do it again… Even if asked, I would decline.”
And what circumstances is he referring to? Well, they rhyme with “rump.” Schwarzenegger says the show’s association with former host (and current President) Donald Trump hurt the show’s ratings this season. “When people found out that Trump was still involved as executive producer and was still receiving money from the show, then half the people [started] boycotting it,” he explains. “With Trump being involved in the show, people have a bad taste and don’t want to… support the show.”
Ratings were certainly down this season, with Arnold’s Apprentice edition falling double digits from the numbers Trump’s most recent season had reached. (Trump even gloated about the ratings dip in a series of tweets aimed at Schwarzenegger.) But Arnold may be getting ahead of himself: It’s not even clear that NBC will want to bring Celebrity Apprentice back for another season, considering the ratings slide. As of press time, it hasn’t officially been renewed for a 16th season.

It's game on for Ellen.

Taking the best elements from the hugely popular daytime talk show "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and creating an entirely new series, NBC has ordered six episodes of the game show "Ellen's Game of Games" for primetime.
"Ellen's Game of Games" is an hour of supersized versions of the most popular and hilariously fun games from "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." Hosted and executive produced by DeGeneres, this game show is like no other - contestants, pulled right from the audience, will have to maneuver massive obstacles, answer questions under immense pressure and face a gigantic plunge into the unknown. While every episode will feature DeGeneres' one-of-kind comedy, personality and a unique roster of games, they'll all end the same way - with DeGeneres giving someone a chance at a huge cash prize.

"I'm so excited to be hosting a huge primetime game show for NBC," said DeGeneres. "We're pulling out all the stops - gigantic sets, hilarious games. It's going to be like a combination of 'American Ninja Warrior,' 'RuPaul's Drag Race' and a water park. OK, it's nothing like that, but you should still watch."

"Ellen's impact as a daytime icon is unprecedented and we can't wait to see her bring that amazing spirit to 'Game of Games,'" said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment. "She is among the very best at engaging with her devoted audience and we are all in for a treat when her antics hit primetime."

"Since establishing Warner Alternative Television over three years ago, some of our greatest successes have come from working with Ellen and her incredibly talented team," said Mike Darnell, President, Warner Bros. Unscripted and Alternative Television. "But the dream has always been to get Ellen herself to say yes to hosting a primetime show. Now that she finally has, I am more than ecstatic. We've married a great concept to the best host in the business. Home run!"

DeGeneres, the host of the multiple Emmy Award-winning nationally syndicated "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that airs on 82 NBC Owned and Affiliated stations, is an active executive producer on the NBC unscripted projects "Little Big Shots," the recently announced spinoff "Little Big Shots: Forever Young" and the upcoming Drew Barrymore-hosted "First Dates," all from divisions of Warner Bros. Unscripted and Alternative Television led by Darnell.
"Ellen's Game of Games" is executive produced by Ellen DeGeneres, Mary Connelly, Ed Glavin, Andy Lassner, Kevin Leman and Jeff Kleeman. David A. Hurwitz also serves as executive producer. The series is produced by A Very Good Production, Telepictures and Warner Horizon Unscripted Television.

The Real, you're next!

Ever wonder who’d win a game of tug-of-war between CBS and ABC?
Ok, you probably haven’t, but you might found out soon anyway, as ABC is rebooting the 1970s and 80s hit “Battle of the Network Stars,” a game show that pits TV personalities from ABC, CBS and NBC against each other in athletic competitions. Previous contest have included kayak races, tug-of-war and 3-on-3 football.

According to Variety, ABC has begun a casting search in hopes of shooting in May and airing the special over the summer.

The original “Battle of the Network Stars” aired on ABC between 1976 and 1988, with Howard Cosell hosting all but one year. Other hosts included Bruce Jenner, O.J. Simpson, Frank Gifford and Billy Chrystal, while competitors included Cheryl Tiegs, Robin Williams, Tom Selleck, William Shatner, Mr. T and many, many others.
Many of the original “Battle of the Network Stars” specials are available on YouTube some 35 years later, and you can lose quite a bit of time watching, say, soap opera star William DeVane playing 3-on-3 football against “That’s Incredible” host Cathy Lee Crosby. The best part is Cosell’s commentary, which falls somewhere between amusement and mockery.

Activate the mute button because.....So You Think You Can Dance fans, dust off those earplugs.

Fox announced Thursday that fan fave Mary Murphy — who last season was replaced on the judging panel by Paula Abdul — will be returning for the recently-ordered Season 14. Additionally, the network confirms that Cat Deeley will officially be back as host, and exec producer Nigel Lythgoe will continue as judge. An announcement about the third judging slot is expected soon.

“I am thrilled that Mary will return to So You Think You Can Dance and I’m sure the fans will be, as well,” Lythgoe enthused in a statement. “She brings an energy and enthusiasm that’s contagious and I can’t wait for her to join me on the judging panel.”

SYTYCD diehards were shocked back in January 2015 when Murphy confirmed that she had been “released” from her contract. “I’m very grateful and proud to have been part of such an extraordinary television show,” she added at the time. “I’m sure there wasn’t a person watching that didn’t know I loved what I did.” Soon after, Abdul was announced as her successor.

For Season 14, Fox is putting last season’s ill-conceived miniature reboot behind it and going ack to its original formula of featuring dancers between the ages of 18-30, with the Top 10 ultimately being paired up with All-Stars.

Ready to throw down the gauntlet? The elite culinary skill, strategy and stamina of Iron Chef America returns to Food Network this spring with Iron Chef Gauntlet, a fresh reboot of the fan-favorite franchise hosted by the incomparable Alton Brown. The six-episode primetime event begins with seven extraordinary chefs competing for the chance to become an Iron Chef - each week one will rise and one will fall until a single chef is left standing, but in order to gain entry into this ultimate culinary society, one gladiator must win the Gauntlet - three rapid-succession battles, each against one legendary Iron Chef: Bobby Flay, Masaharu Morimoto or Michael Symon. Iron Chef Gauntlet premieres Sunday, April 16th at 9pm (all times ET/PT), preceded by the one-hour special The Legend of Iron Chef at 8pm, which celebrates historic moments, and followed by the series premiere of Iron Chef Eats at 10pm, where familiar faces from Iron Chef reveal their favorite food spots from around the country. Online, a digital companion series rolls out simultaneously with new episodes, offering fans culinary inspiration, along with tips and tricks that home cooks can use in their own kitchens.

"In the world of Iron Chef, competitive cooking goes beyond impeccable skills - these chefs view food as both fine art and vigorous sport," said Didi O'Hearn, Senior Vice President Programming, Food Network and Cooking Channel. "The Iron Chef Gauntlet finalist will go up against three culinary legends - and our audience is sure to be on the edge of their seat to find out if he or she has what it takes to join their ranks."

Iron Chef Gauntlet competitors are: Nyesha Arrington (Los Angeles, California - Executive Chef/Owner, Leona); Jason Dady (San Antonio, Texas - Executive Chef/Owner, Tre Trattoria); Sarah Grueneberg (Chicago, Illinois - Executive Chef/Owner, Monteverde); Michael Gulotta (New Orleans, Louisiana - Executive Chef/Owner, MOPHO); Stephanie Izard (Chicago, Illinois - Executive Chef/Owner, Girl & the Goat); Shota Nakajima (Seattle, Washington - Executive Chef/Owner, Adana) and Jonathon Sawyer (Cleveland, Ohio - Executive Chef/Owner, The Greenhouse Tavern).

In the first five Iron Chef Gauntlet episodes, the competitors endure two grueling rounds of cooking starting with the Chairman's Challenge where host Alton Brown delivers a themed challenge and is the sole decision maker on the most and least successful chef. The winner then selects a competitor to join the bottom chef in the Secret Ingredient Challenge, where they must cook three dishes featuring the secret ingredient presented on the altar. A panel of rotating judges send the least successful chef home each week, while the winner is sent back to battle. In the finale on Sunday, May 21st at 9pm, the last chef standing has the Iron Chef title in reach - but first, the chef must run the Gauntlet - three rapid-succession Secret Ingredient battles, each against one legendary Iron Chef: Bobby Flay, Masaharu Morimoto or Michael Symon. Only if the finalist receives more points than the Iron Chefs combined will history be made, joining the coveted ranks of Iron Chefs, otherwise they will leave the kitchen in utter defeat.
