*Baggage will air at 3am and 3:30am; replacing Let's Ask America
*Monopoly Millionaires' Club will first air Tuesday morning at 10am. Then, the same episode will rerun later that day in primetime at 8pm with no other reruns around the schedule.
*New episodes of Idiotest air Wednesday at 8pm and 8:30pm.
*A rerun of The Chase will air Wednesday at 9pm; replacing Family Feud.
*Richard Karn Family Feud returns to the schedule Sunday afternoons from 12pm-1:30pm; replacing the Harvey version
*John O'Hurley's Family Feud will air Sunday 1:30-3pm; replacing the Harvey version
Now LAA this past week has decided to end it after 3 seasons in syndication to....some cities and GSN acquiring it was what bled it too much. However, 2 classics got the axe and the replacements were ready.....
Shop 'Til You Drop airs weekday mornings at 10am (minus Tuesday); replacing Sale of the Century

(quick fade out)
Then, it simply got old. I don't know why people started tuning out. One truth is, STYD launched in the winter (when people are indoors more) and as the warmer months came, viewers decided Shop was not that important to them and started enjoying better opportunities.
Besides Dee (who isn't that awful or significant to the show's entirety), STYD is really not a bad show. It's just here in 2015, it is outdated."
We are getting to the age now that shows like Chain Reaction (Lane), Lingo (Woolery) and Shop 'Til You Drop are classics. All of this is in the age of very modern cable television programming, where anything before 2010 on some networks is nonexistent."
I bet now by 2016, there will be only one hour of pre 1990s stuff. I'm surprised O Hurley is back on the weekends. Maybe his afternoon numbers are pretty good. But why a hour and a half? Do like a two hour block for Karn and O Hurley. Watch all the Karn haters complain that he is back on the schedule. As Taylor Swift once said, haters gonna hate hate hate.
I would have put Catch 21 at 2:30 pm instead of 10:30 am. Remember folks, when Shop comes back, I guess we'll go back to making fun of Dee being a cross dresser. With Monopoly, it looks fun, maybe. I'll still give it a try. Let's face it, GSN is going modern, so we might as well get used to it.
BTW, create a 24 hour Steve Harvey channel that is everything Steve, from his sitcom, to his talk show, and Family Feud. "
I also wish GSN picked up the rights to Classic Concentration with Alex Trebek from the 1980's (if it appoves with NBC) and/or David Ruprect's Supermarket Sweep from the 1990's and 2000's possibly as MG/CS/PYL replacements."

Time once again for.....
THE TOP 20 GSN ORIGINALS OF ALL-TIME!!!!!!
*Catch 21 will air weekday mornings (minus Tuesday) at 10:30am; replacing The $25,000 Pyramid
Whaaaaa?
First, let me get this straight. $ale has been on 2 years going and we haven't got to the tail end of the syndicated run. Where was the entire NBC run? All they showed was the last 65 shows of it, but what about the rest? And Pyramid has had a storied history on the network, but how did they remove itself in the first place? The CBS version of what is history. Lookie here. It only ran back to 1986 as of this week. So why them both? Well, you got a modern show already on in the afternoons and one show that aired only the PAX version but didn't do too well? It's to entertain an audience, idiot. Classics can't kill people, ratings every single morning kills people. Seriously. Let me say it again. Ratings kills morning people. Look at what it done did to the 10 CST hour recently. That & the Tylenol fiasco. Had more people tune in to the Time Capsule deal, GSN would've been okay, but no, it was bottom of the garbage ratings, and the fact of the matter is, Steve Harvey's Family Feud is killing everybody on the network. That means everybody. I know Match Game is still there, but why did they take the 2 out? Easy answer: Modern fare. So GSN, why did you kill our beloved $ale of The Century for something else? Can't you add more classics before you make the viewers unwatchable again subtracting one hour? Oh, and the Shop is the 1997 version, so take it or leave it.
Done with the rant. Here's the Yay & Yawn of March.
The Yay: The Chase. Give the Beast spring cleaning and he'll take it.
The Yawn: $ale of The Century gone. Glad they didn't get "Temptation 2007" on there. Buzzr Tv, please appease to your fans come launch date.
After the jump, we react to teh changes. I shall return. Because I have to.
(song fades out)
(quick fade out)
It seemed that taking 2 classics off hurt the game show community. But to ease the pain, I thought I'd take in a little poem.
Hey, I just met you...
And this is crazy....
So here's my Tiny Wubble Ball....
Comment it, maybe?
First, with Shop on the way, Scott Rahner talks about why Shop bombed in teh first place.
"Shop Til You Drop started out very well in December 2013 because it was something new to the GSN audience, for the most part (or at least a show they had not seen in multiple years on television). I remember Shop getting 400K+ ratings regularly.
Maybe Shop needs a second chance. I dunno. He then goes on to say...
"Anyway, I really think the definition of "classics" is starting to change as the years go on. Think about it...in the first six years of GSN, in the 1990's, shows like 1973-82 Match Game and Clark's $25,000 Pyramid were not considered classics.
We are getting to the age now that shows like Chain Reaction (Lane), Lingo (Woolery) and Shop 'Til You Drop are classics. All of this is in the age of very modern cable television programming, where anything before 2010 on some networks is nonexistent."
See, we get it now. Who wants Youtube? Adam Lentz has this...
"GSN should come up with a spinoff channel called GSN Classic. It will consist of 24 hour classic game shows. From like the 1950s to the 1980s, maybe the 90s. So that way, people can enjoy their classics when they want to.

BTW, create a 24 hour Steve Harvey channel that is everything Steve, from his sitcom, to his talk show, and Family Feud. "
I'd nix on the Steve Harvey idea and go with GSN classic as an alternative. One poster said:
"GSN has been trying to become more hip for years now, and the whittling away at the older-skewing classics has occurred at a steady pace for about six years now. The sad truth of the matter is that the very old shows, for the most part, really don't do anything for the network's ratings. I'm thinking that the only reason that the network kept the old shows around, even in smaller amounts, was that they were probably relatively cheap to air and they probably felt obligated to keep some on hand to appease the fans of the older shows, who probably made up a majority of the viewing audience in the morning hours anyhow."
So I'm thinking GSN wants to be more grown-up, correct?
Over at Game Show Follies, dth1971 says...
"Will Match Game, Card Sharks, and Press Your Luck be next to leave GSN as they move to the new Buzzr TV digital subchannel by the end of May 2015?
I also wish GSN picked up the rights to Classic Concentration with Alex Trebek from the 1980's (if it appoves with NBC) and/or David Ruprect's Supermarket Sweep from the 1990's and 2000's possibly as MG/CS/PYL replacements."
I hope once once Buzzr gets going, and I'll take sweep over CC. Zach Horan has this...
"Sony is now swinging the axe on Joker's Wild episodes on Youtube, as per a post at Golden-road.net."
Say it ain't so. They're taking out the B&E shows soon? That sucks. Moving on...
We went to Game Show News FB group for their reactions. Michael Pierce started out with:
"So sad SOTC and Pyramid are gone. 9 f***ing hours of FF. And way more hours of Howie Mandell than I can stomach. Wow. So sad."
This is GSN today, people. Grady Ellis says:
"GSN is a sad reflection of what it used to be. Now it's a joke. Thank god for youtube."
Darn skippy. He also says:
" I used to love GSN in it's classic era. All the shows were great, and then, it went downhill, and it's FFN now which means "Family Feud Network". I'll get on the youtube and watch Dawson instead, and Combs."
Agreed. Sean Spellman has this:
"Don't get me wrong about Steve Harvey Family Feud, but them playing the same re-runs over and over its starting to get on my nerves, I would like to see more John O'Hurley Family Feud and Richard Karn Family Feud and I don't want to forget about Dawson either, they need to cut it back to maybe about an hour a day for Steve Harvey, its already on 2 of my local channels and not to mention TV Land for god sake."
Yep, All about Harvey. How about one more? Here's David Downs.
"Do you honestly think they're going to cut their highest rated show to one hour? They'd be lost without it! They're going to run that into the ground as long as it delivers the ratings (and despite the heavy abuse, it still does, proving how dumb viewers really are). At this point, people just need to accept that GSN will never, EVER focus on anything not recent and that subchannels like Buzzr will be the only way to enjoy that very soon."
Why GSN Why?
(song stops)
Alright, no more of that stuff and let's skip to the 2nd intermission presented by swagbucks.com. IndieNation held a music compeition and one person was in the top 10 but was so close to winning it. That person: Christa Nannos. She may be a parody music queen, but did you know she has a serious original? Seriously. Here. have a listen.
Ah, thanks Christa for getting us out of that mess. Anyways, here's her website if you want to go there....

THE TOP 20 GSN ORIGINALS OF ALL-TIME!!!!!!
Here's a question for you. What's #14?
Glad you asked. It's "That's the Question." Based on a Dutch format, 2 players had to fill in letters to...well....fill in a question. All they did was answer questions by unscrambling words with one extra letter into the puzzle. If they knew what the question was, they had to do it and thd answer too. And it's not easy when you're playing it. The winner of that used the points to translate into seconds for a shot at $5000 in the bonus game, and Bob Goen was there to host it. No question this one's at...
14.
