Me: Welcome to Game Show Live! Let's get right into it with.......
The Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.
Jimmy Fallon done did it again.
Wordle, the online trivia game that attracts billions of plays each year, is being lined up for television.
NBC is piloting a game show based on the New York Times game with Savannah Guthrie hosting. Jimmy Fallon is involved in the adaptation, which is filming in the UK, via his Electric Hot Dog banner. His company is producing with Universal Television Alternative Studio and the New York Times.
The New York Times began exploring the idea of a Wordle television game show and chose to partner with Fallon and develop the idea with UTAS for the broadcast network.
It comes after the newspaper acquired the game, which was created by Welsh software engineer Josh Wardle, in 2022. Last year, it was played 5.3B times, up from 4.8B plays in 2023.
The game gives players six attempts to guess a five-letter word, receiving feedback through colored tiles that indicate correct letters and their placement. Inspired by Mastermind, a single puzzle is released daily with all players around the world attempting to solve the same word.
Fallon has previously admitted that he is “addicted” to the game and has attempted to solve the puzzle on The Tonight Show. If it makes it to air, Wordle (w/t) would join Fallon’s litany of other shows across NBC. He just launched his business competition reality series On Brand, which airs on Tuesdays and Fridays, and is also behind the reboot of Password, which was recently renewed for a third season, and That’s My Jam.

Amy: Some members of our viewing audience will receive......
Trolli. The internet tracks down trolls to ban them and trolli is the name for a troll. Actually Trolli is a candy and trolls might like them too. Even dentists don't like it when your teeth looks ugly. And that makes up for tons of money in your pocket. Moving on, it's back to Pierre kelly!
Me: Thanks Amy, and we have a slight band name change. The leader of the band is on maternity leave but we have an interim leader named Laura Fox here to back it up. It's Doireann Garrihy's Irish Setters and a salute to the 1983 game show Go, but with a more generic twist.
Gordon Ramsay will be joined by TV host Carla Hall and Sprinkles Cupcakes founder Candace Nelson on Next Level Baker, Fox‘s upcoming three-week special event holiday series. Hall and Nelson will serve as co-mentors on the cooking competition series “where bakers are challenged to create eye-popping festive holiday delights.”
In choosing the contestants, Ramsay scoured the country for the best home, pro and social media bakers, from different backgrounds and levels of expertise, according to Fox. Ramsay, Hall and Nelson will take the bakers under their wings in the competition, which will see one of them winning $25,000 and a HexClad prize package.
The three-week special event series premieres Thursday, Dec. 4 at 9/8c on Fox, Fox One and Next Day Hulu.
Next Level Baker is produced by Studio Ramsay on behalf of Studio Ramsay Global and BiggerStage. Ramsay and Matt Cahoon serve as executive producers.
Hall co-hosted The Chew for seven years. She can be seen as a judge in shows including BakeAway Camp and Holiday Baking Championship, and also served as judge and coach for multiple seasons on Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America. She also serves as a judge on Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking. Hall also hosted the Emmy-nominated food and travel show Chasing Flavor.
Nelson left a career in finance to start Sprinkles, billed as the world’s first cupcake bakery and Cupcake ATM. She served as a judge for 10 seasons of Cupcake Wars on Food Network and 3 seasons of Sugar Rush on Netflix, where she also served as executive producer. She followed Sprinkles with the launch of Pizzana, a franchise of Neo-Neapolitan pizzerias, and CN2 Ventures, a Los Angeles-based venture studio and investment firm.

As we get closer to the holidays, somebody here wanted to dislike PYL's holiday fare. Here's why.
When you look back at old game shows, they have proper holiday decor and none of the gimmicky stuff. Press Your Luck back then didn't need any of this pizazz you see today. It's just roll tape, small edit here and there and you have a show. Over in Ireland, RTE does an annual Late Late Toy Show and it's much a bit like Oprah's Favorite Things. (remember?) Everything in the show had to be live, not on tape. Every year becomes family viewing with musical numbers, newer toys and a set to feel right at home. The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade is also live but there's one problem...........the musical performances are lip-synched. This is not some silly little TV dance show you remember way back when. But I suggest watching old holiday movies on Free Ad-supported TV apps and see why it's better than that.....um..........Lizzie's Whammies holiday party. Time for PYL 2K-something to stop it. For realzies.
Moving on..................

RHYTHM + FLOW ITALY, Netflix's rap show produced by Fremantle, will officially return in 2026 with a third season that promises to be more explosive than ever, featuring an incredible new addition. Joining the now-iconic judges Fabri Fibra, Geolier and Rose Villain is another legend of the scene: Guè officially becomes part of the team to raise the bar even higher and discover the next stars of Italian rap.
The winner will once again take home a €100,000 prize. The search for the artists who will define the new scene is ready to begin, with a stellar jury and plenty of surprises ahead.
The first two seasons of RHYTHM + FLOW ITALY have truly made their mark: the original tracks by contestants who reached the final stages of the show (music videos and finale) have reached a total of almost one billion streams across all music and social platforms. These numbers confirm that the show has become one of the most popular showcases for Italian rap, capable of discovering new and promising talents.

In a scene from Season 3 of “Alone Australia,” Ceilidh, a young deaf woman, looks up at a bird on a tree limb far above and remarks that it is a white-bellied sea eagle. She adds that her father had a tattoo of the bird on his arm, and goes on to explain that he was her greatest champion, but died of leukemia when she was a teenager.
After a pause, she says, “It’s like my dad is watching over me.” It’s a scene that encapsulates the emotional appeal of the show, in which 10 survivalists compete for a large cash prize by attempting to be the last person standing in a wild, inhospitable location.
As Tom, another of the contestants, says on his arrival in Western Tasmania, “It’s cold, it’s rugged, it’s unforgiving. All 10 of us are (expletive) crazy.”
The show launched in the U.S. 10 years ago on the cable channel that is now called History and is currently airing its 12th season. The A+E Global Media format has been replicated in 10 countries, and in Australia, it is broadcast by SBS, with Season 4 in production in the Arctic.
The show is the most watched SBS-commissioned series in the network’s history. Joseph Maxwell, SBS head of unscripted, sees the show as a documentary featuring 10 interwoven stories, but the fact that the contestants shoot their own footage and record the sound themselves gives it a “raw, unfiltered feel,” he says. “They’re telling it, they’re choosing what to say, when to say it, they’re filming it. It’s totally unproduced, undirected.”

Play Ball!
The pipeline of entertainment formats that originate on YouTube before moving to television and streaming has a new entry: Let’s Play Ball.
Bunim/Murray, the company behind The Real World and The Challenge, is set to take out the European format to U.S. buyers later this month.
It comes as Bunim/Murray’s parent company Banijay is set to promote the format at Mipcom, amid interest from a number of international territories.
Let’s Play Ball follows two rival teams of comedians go head-to-head in a race to transport a gigantic ball across various terrains. Facing physical puzzles along the way, each episode sees the teams navigate varied landscapes, from narrow city streets to rivers and countryside meadows. What begins as a seemingly straightforward task quickly unravels into chaos and strategic gameplay.
Banijay initially piloted the format on YouTube via Signal.Stream, where it drew more than 1.2 million views, and was then co-developed by Banijay Benelux label EndemolShine Nederland, Talpa Studios and Signal.Stream for Dutch broadcaster SBS6. The show has already been picked up for a second season in Holland.
It is also being adapted in the UK by Initial and Zeppotron, the two companies behind Amazon’s Last One Laughing UK.
Let’s Play Ball joins formats such as Pop The Balloon, the viral dating format that started on YouTube before being ordered to series at Netflix. Bunim/Murray’s current slate includes Lifetime’s The Chrisleys: Back to Reality and Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa and it is developing a new competition format with X Games and a survival adventure series with Reacher star Alan Ritchson.

Here's a new meaning to the phrase "Dinner for 2."
“MasterChef” has scored a double renewal at Fox, taking the cooking competition series through its 16th and 17th seasons.

The series sees a group of home cooks compete for the chance to win a $250,000 prize.

“MasterChef” is based on a format created by Franc Roddam and represented internationally by Banihay Entertainment. Banijay Americas’ Endemol Shine North America produces with Gordon Ramsey’s One Potato Two Potato. Prime Video will launch a brand-new comedy reality series, Would You Rather: Decide To Survive, hosted by comedy sensation Romesh Ranganathan, in 2026.
‘Would You Rather’ be invisible or be able to fly? Fight one giant duck or 1000 tiny ducks? Eat a man-sized bean or a bean-sized man? We’ve all played the classic hypothetical game–now get ready to play it for real (no bean-sized men will be harmed).
Hosted by Ranganathan, this game show sees two teams of familiar faces compete in hilarious challenges based on ‘Would You Rather’ decisions. These three simple words decide everything from what they eat to who they send home. One by one, the players will be eliminated until we have our Would You Rather: Decide To Survive champion.
Ranganathan commented: "I'm excited about this new show, and I'm not just saying that because I'm hosting, although that does help. ‘Would You Rather’ is a game that everyone is familiar with and now we're making 10 people live through these choices, which is both hilarious and slightly cruel - the perfect combination for quality entertainment."
Would You Rather: Decide To Survive will launch exclusively on Prime Video in 2026, streaming on the platform in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

And standing alone is a Mistplay Game Break. Can you think of a movie from these clues?
- It came to theatres in 1979
- Reggie Bannister was a star out of this movie
- in the opening scene, a mortican gets stabbed while making love in a cemetary. Talk about dead love.
- IT was set in the state of Oregon.
It's time to celebrate..................
