And now, the (Nearly) world-famous contestant...Pierre Kelly!

Me: Welcome to Game Show Live! Let's get right into it with.......

The  Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.

Next Monday is Big Monday - Six of syndication's titles will bow new seasons, including Wheel and Jeopardy!, who will also stream next day.

Wheel of Fortune is set to return in less than a week, and they revealed what fans can expect from Season 43. For the “Year of Fun,” contestants and viewers can participate. It will feature more tournaments, bigger prizes, and extra opportunities to win. Fans noticed the new wedge on the wheel in a behind-the-scenes video. “Ryan [Seacrest] brings his charm, warmth, and playfulness into his interactions with the contestants and co-host Vanna White, and that has resonated with our viewers,” Bellamie Blackstone, Wheel of Fortune executive producer, said in a press release. “A big part of the success we saw last season can be credited to these many wonderful moments, so we decided to embrace it and make ‘The Year of Fun’ the season 43 theme.”

“Fan Fridays,” which entail fans at home typing in a keyword online to be entered to win a prize, will now be called “Fanday Fundays.” This will happen any day of the week, not just on Fridays. The giveaway will be conducted by Maggie Sajak, the game show’s social media correspondent. It will include cash, vacations, and other luxurious prizes.

Fans can also look forward to returning favorite integrations, including Secret Santa, and theme weeks celebrating Halloween, veterans, teachers, and more. Also new this season is that Wheel of Fortune will be streaming on Peacock, Hulu, and Hulu through Disney+, as well as Crave in Canada, starting September 9, the day after the premiere. Fans can watch the latest five episodes anytime on the streamers. Streaming viewers will be able to enter all sweepstakes and giveaways contained in the show for the entire duration of that run.

In addition to the new episodes, the streamers will have a selection of classic episodes available to watch anytime. These include Pat Sajak-era episodes, memorable contestants, Vanna White’s best outfits, and more.

“Fans have been asking to be able to stream their favorite game show for years, and we’re excited to work with each of the platforms to deliver the best all-around experience,” Suzanne Prete, president of game shows for Sony Pictures Television, said. “Not only will each streamer have their own selection of classic episodes, but their audiences will have access to new episodes the next day and will be able to participate in giveaways and sweepstakes live.”

Season 42 of Jeopardy! is right around the corner, and Jeopardy! just revealed which tournaments are coming back, as well as how fans can stream episodes after the season starts. Season 42 will see the return of Second Chance and Champions Wildcard competitions, the Tournament of Champions (ToC), and Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament (JIT). The “postseason” tournaments will air later in the season with Ken Jennings hosting, as well as the syndicated show and Celebrity Jeopardy!.

Fans will be able to see all-new episodes of Jeopardy! starting on September 8 on syndicated channels, but if they miss an episode, they will be available to stream the next day on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, Peacock (in the U.S.), and Crave (in Canada). The latest five episodes of the new season will be available on the streamers.

“Having new episodes of Jeopardy! available on streaming for the first time is a huge milestone in the history of our program, and we look forward to welcoming a new audience on these platforms,” Suzanne Prete, president of game shows for Sony Pictures Television, said in a press release.

“We want to celebrate that leap forward while also making sure our viewers know that if they watch Jeopardy! on their local station, they will continue to be able to do so. Our affiliate and owned station partners around the country remain essential to the show’s success.”

In addition to the new season, Jeopardy! fans will be able to watch a collection of library episodes from the game show’s past seasons. Every single episode of Ken Jennings’ 74-game streak will be available, as well as streaks from other top champions. Peacock and Crave will also stream a collection of episodes featuring Alex Trebek’s travels around the world.

Jonathan Hugendubler, from Baltimore, Maryland, will face off against two new opponents on the season premiere after defeating superchamp Scott Riccardi in the finale.

Also premiering: new seasons of 25 Words or Less & Flip Side and new series Scrambled Up & The Perfect Line.

Now, about Ryan Seacrest on why he's the host of this Wheel in a quick coffee break.

https://tpirepguide.com/qwizx/gssfx/usa/tattleendgame.wav

When Ryan took over from Pat Sajak on Wheel, we knew he was on a different Merv Griffin-created program. But Ryan is much like Drew Carey when Bob Barker took over 2 decades ago. Maybe it's because of his fashion sense. If Bob Goen or Mark L. Wahlberg could've taken over for Pat, the ratings won't matter since it's a top rated syndicated show ever since 1983. That and you can actually get Ryan getting more sleep. Moving on.............

ANd oh yeah, I got a name to Scramble you up.........IEPRRE YEKLL.

Me: Um what?

Amy: Sorry. It's Pierre Kelly.

Me: Thank the lord. We're back.

Wisdom of the Crowd, an exciting new quiz-based entertainment show from the makers of The 1% Club, is coming to iPlayer and BBC One. Hosted by comedy superstar John Bishop, in his big return to Saturday nights on the BBC, the show will see bold contestants having to take on the collective knowledge of the crowd.

The producers, Magnum Productions, got the inspiration for the show when they heard about Francis Galton’s scientific discovery from over a century ago when he witnessed a competition to win an ox by guessing its weight. More than 800 people had entered and the scientist looked at all the guesses and what he saw blew his mind: the average guess of everyone put together was so accurate that it was even better than the best individual guess.

He called his discovery Wisdom of the Crowd and the theory transformed the worlds of politics, economics and philosophy. But now this science is about to be put to its most important use yet… in a big-money Saturday night game show on BBC One and iPlayer.

In each show individual contestants take on the might of the Crowd. Who will win the cash prize? The science says the Crowd should win and share the money between them, but will any of our contestants manage to take all the money for themselves by beating Wisdom Of The Crowd?

John Bishop says: "I'm delighted to be back on the BBC on Saturday nights to host Wisdom of the Crowd. This big new entertainment format gives an interesting take on group dynamics - not only testing what the individual contestants know, but also testing what the crowd knows (or what they think they know!) I can’t wait for audiences to see it."

Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment Commissioning for the BBC says: “We’re delighted that John Bishop is back on the BBC; his quick wit and natural charm make him the perfect host for this fascinating new entertainment quiz show. Wisdom of the Crowd is the perfect game for viewers to play along with at home, and if you like The 1% Club, then you’re in for a treat!”

Wisdom of the Crowd will film in MediaCity, Salford. Transmission details will be announced in due course.

Wisdom of the Crowd (8 x 60) is a Magnum Productions production for iPlayer and BBC One, commissioned by Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment Commissioning for the BBC. The Executive Producers are Andy Auerbach, Clare Barton, Dean Nabarro. The show was created by Dean Nabarro and Andy Auerbach. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Katie Taylor. The format will be distributed globally by BBC Studios.

ITV Studios, the broadcaster’s global production business, is to launch a new label focused on “scalable entertainment and competitive formats” and lead by industry veterans Lily Wilson, who will serve as Managing Director, and Tom Williams in the role of Creative Director.

Wilson is currently Commissioning Editor, Entertainment at ITV, a post she has held for the past 6 years, and has been responsible for some of ITV’s most successful shows including Britain’s Got Talent, The Voice, Saturday Night Takeaway and The BRIT Awards.

Williams has developed shows such as The Million Pound Drop (C4) and Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream (ITV) and is joining from TalkbackThames where he held the position of Creative Director.

Both will join in January 2026 and branding for the new label will be revealed at the same time.

Once it launches, the label will become the new home for the team behind ITV Studios’ Potato label plus Potato’s and 12 Yard’s existing portfolio of quiz shows and back catalogue.

Tim Carter, MD Unscripted, UK, ITV Studios, said: “Lily has been synonymous with the biggest shows on television and intimately understands what it takes to create excellence. Tom is one of the most exciting originators in the industry.

“Together they are unstoppable, and with the heft and popularity of Potato’s shows and 12 Yard’s IP behind them, they promise to create a new force in entertainment.”

The Wall is headed to Greece with well-known presenter Christos Ferentinos fronting the local version for Skai. The gameshow was added to the NBCUniversal Formats catalog last year and the studio has been pushing it internationally, with hopes of creating new production hubs in Europe. The Greek version is the first since NBCU took over distribution.

Ferentinos (Greece’s Got Talent and Deal or No Deal Greece), is one of the country’s most recognizable TV and radio presenters. The version he is fronting will run to thirty episodes of sixty minutes. The Greek show will have a 12-meter-high Wall, with two players per episode facing the make-or-break questions, and a cash prize of up to €350,000 ($408,000).

Glassman Media, The SpringHill Company, Universal Television Alternative Studio and Foss Productions are on production duty. NBCUniversal Formats, in turn part of Universal Studio Group, is effectively relaunching the show in international markets where it has historically sold well. To date, over 1,500 episodes have been produced across 32 countries meaning it is well-known around the world.

he new Paramount leadership continues to put their mark on the company following the Skydance acquisition. The latest is a return to office policy that requires all employees to be in the office five days a week. That is more than any traditional Hollywood studios and in line with tech companies’ RTO rules.

The mandate was announced in a companywide email sent by Chairman and CEO David Ellison Thursday morning, a copy of which was obtain by Deadline.

For those not willing to comply, a severance package is being offered.

“To achieve what we’ve set out to do – and to truly unlock Paramount’s full potential – we must make meaningful changes that position us for long-term success,” Ellison wrote. “These changes are about building a stronger, more connected, and agile organization that can deliver on our goals and compete at the highest level. We have a lot to accomplish and we’re moving fast. We need to all be rowing in the same direction. And especially when you’re dealing with a creative business like ours, that begins with being together in person.

“With this in mind, we will begin a phased return-to-office plan starting in January 2026, ultimately moving towards an in-person work environment where employees are in the office full-time (five days a week),” he added.
