Let’s Make a Deal showrunner John Quinn is taking on additional duties as showrunner and executive producer of The Price is Right.
Quinn, who also showruns Press Your Luck, is expected to incorporate a variety of specially themed episodes in Price‘s new season, including Breast Cancer Awareness, Valentine’s Day, Pet Adoption Week, Mother’s Day, and School’s Out.
There’s also a brand new pricing game in the works for the CBS game show hosted by Drew Carey.
The new season is slated for September.
“It’s the show we all watched during summer break and when we were home sick from school,” said Quinn, who is taking over for Evelyn Warfel on The Price is Right. “This show is a major reason why I work on game shows in the first place, so to be a part of it now is an honor that I do not take lightly. I am beyond grateful and still pinching myself! From the second I came on board I have felt at home, and that is a testament to the spectacular staff and crew who have been making this show a staple of American television for 53 years. What a delight!”
“John brings a dynamic energy, remarkable creativity, and a collaborative spirit that elevates every production he touches,” added Jennifer Mullin, CEO, Fremantle. “Combined with his rare ability to adapt with the times while honoring tradition, make him the ideal choice to carry this iconic mainstay of television forward.”
Production on season 54 of The Price is Right is underway at Fremantle’s Haven Studios in Glendale, CA.

Me: Thank you Amy and 20 years ago, this program was on Fox. This was the male equivalent to Prisoner in Australia prior to it and here are the moments from Prison Break. The program that once crossed over into the 24 universe.
BTW, it once got connected to House.

Canada‘s Bell Media has struck a next-day streaming deal for Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune with Sony Pictures Television.
As of next month, the evergreen game shows will stream on Bell’s Crave the day after they air in syndication. The agreement also includes 100 library episodes of each of the shows to the streaming service, beginning September 9.
Sony Pictures Television Canada struck the deal with Bell.
“We are thrilled to bring Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, two of the most successful game shows in television history, to streaming audiences on Crave this fall,” said Flory Bramnick, EVP, Distribution, North America, Sony Pictures Entertainment. “These iconic properties have become pillars of broadcast syndication, and we look forward to seeing them delight a new, untapped audience across streaming platforms.”
Season 42 of Jeopardy! and Season 43 of Wheel of Fortune return in the U.S. on September 8.
Today’s agreement comes after Sony struck deals for the franchises with Peacock, Hulu, and Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S. earlier this summer for in-season syndicated episodes.

This is how you to properly take advantage of the news that your English teacher is about to marry your gym teacher.
Good Morning America revealed this morning that Jan Ravnik, who previously performed with the newly betrothed Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour, is becoming one of the pros on Dancing with the Stars.
No word yet, however, on which lucky celebrity he’ll be paired with when season 34 kicks off in September: the new cast won’t be revealed until Sept. 3 on Good Morning America.
The Slovenia-born Ravnik is described as an accomplished dancer with credits that include the 97th Academy Awards, The Eras Tour Movie and Mariah Carey Christmas: The Magic Continues. He’s also performed live on stage with artists like Paula Abdul at the Billboard Music Awards and at her Las Vegas Residency, as well as with Mariah Carey and Bruno Mars.
Speculation about Ravnik joining the ABC competition show hit a fever pitch recently after he posted a video of himself dancing with DWTS pro and Mirror Ball Trophy winner Jenna Johnson.

Rob Beckett's Smart TV, the quiz show featuring Alison Hammond and Josh Widdicombe, has been cancelled.
The Sky Max series aired for two seasons in 2024 and 2025, with Hammond and Widdicombe serving as team captain for a panel show in which Beckett introduced a range of subjects from the small screen.
Despite being popular with viewers thanks to its star-studded line-up, with guests including Richard Osman and Anna Maxwell Martin, the programme will be no more as it has been axed by Sky.
"After two brilliant series testing the telly knowledge of the nation, it is time for us to roll the credits on Rob Beckett’s Smart TV," read a statement from the broadcaster (via The Sun). "Our huge thanks to the TV quizzing trio, Rob Beckett, Alison Hammond and Josh Widdicombe who brought all the laughs to screen. We look forward to working together again," they continued.

NBC has renewed its hit game show "Password" for a fun-filled third season of the ultimate word showdown. Get ready for more outrageous clues, wild guesses and comedic moments as Keke Palmer returns as host alongside wordplay master Jimmy Fallon. Filming is currently underway.

This season promises to deliver more of the unforgettable humor and surprise gameplay that audiences have come to love."
"We couldn't be more excited to return to 'Password,'" Fallon and Palmer said. "It's the only show where you get to lock eyes with a total stranger and think, 'OK, based on absolutely nothing, we're going to bet that you understand that when one of us says 'fluffy,' we mean 'pillow.' We love working with each other so much and are taking it to another level this season with bigger guests, wilder guesses and guaranteed laughs."
"Password is a crown jewel in Fremantle's robust portfolio of game shows," said Kim Kleid, Executive Vice President of Current Programming, Fremantle. American Idol will keep its judging panel intact for the 2025-26 season.
ABC announced Monday that judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood have signed new deals to continue with the show for its ninth season on the network and 24th overall. Bryan and Richie have been American Idol judges throughout its tenure on ABC, while Underwood — whose Idol victory in 2005 kick-started her career — joined the panel last season.
Notably absent from ABC’s announcement was the name of host Ryan Seacrest, who has yet to sign for the coming season. That situation isn’t unheard of in Idol’s recent history, where Seacrest or the judges have inked new deals just on the cusp of a new season’s production beginning. Sources say Seacrest is likely to return as well.
As for the coming season, auditions are set to begin Aug. 26 with the show’s “Idol Across America” virtual round, which gives prospective contestants a chance to show their vocal chops for an Idol producer (details here). American Idol remains a solid performer for ABC, with the 2025 season averaging about 7.3 million cross-platform viewers over five weeks. Its seven-day linear audience (i.e., before streaming) was 5.87 million viewers for the Sunday show, even with its 2024 average. The new season is set to premiere in the first quarter of 2026.

The Inheritance is heading to Channel 4 – and we now know exactly when to expect the premiere.
The 12-episode game show, which was announced earlier this year, promises to be "a camp, cut-throat game of wit, willpower, persuasion and betrayal", and will kick off on Channel 4 at 9pm on Sunday 31st August, with the next two episodes airing on consecutive nights. Three episodes will then be released each week.
With many parallels to The Traitors, the new series will follow 13 strangers as they are summoned to a grand stately home and tasked with competing for part of the fortune left in the will of The Deceased, a role played by Elizabeth Hurley.
"But winning the money won’t be easy," the official plot synopsis reads. "The Deceased had a wicked sense of humor and has designed a mischievous game to ensure only the best players can get their hands on her inheritance."
It continues: "The lucky 13 must work as a team to complete The Deceased’s final requests, a series of devilishly difficult assignments that will demand they are clever, collaborative and cunning."
Brought to us by Studio Lambert, the team behind The Traitors UK, it’s hardly surprising that there’s a key twist: only one player can claim the money gained in each request, meaning it’s up to one of them to persuade the others that they alone deserve the money they earnt together.
Joining Hurley will be lawyer and TV personality Robert Rinder, who'll be taking on the role of The Deceased's Executor and trusted legal counsel.
