8 Irish Spring soap bars, please!
Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx have revealed that they are in Ireland filming season eight of their US quiz show Beat Shazam.
The Oscar winner posted an Instagram video filmed at the Powerscourt Hotel in Co Wicklow in which he was joined by his daughter and co-host.
"Hello! We're in Ireland," said Corinne Foxx.
"We are in Ireland shooting season eight," continued Jamie Foxx.
"Beat Shazam!" Corinne Foxx enthused.
Beat Shazam is described by its US network Fox as "an interactive game show that pits teams of two against the clock and each other as they attempt to identify the biggest hit songs of all time".
"In the end, the team with the most money banked will go against Shazam, the popular song identification app, for the chance to win up to $1 million," according to the show's website.
Jamie Foxx also told his social media followers that he is "about to get up back on the joke train" and continue his career in stand-up comedy with live shows on tour.
The Ray and Collateral star thanked fans for their support and concluded: "And thank you to Ireland for letting us come here and stretch our legs and do our thing."
ABC has made a major move in its early evening lineup, announcing the arrival of House of Games, a new nightly quiz show at 6:30pm, based on the successful UK format hosted by Richard Osman.
The Australian version will be led by comedian Claire Hooper, a standout choice in a genre traditionally dominated by men in Australia.
The broadcaster will be hoping House of Games provides a solid alternative to the repeats of Hard Quiz, which have performed reasonably well in the crucial 6:30pm slot, leading into the flagship evening news bulletin.
This announcement comes as ABC continues to refresh its early evening schedule, confirming that the nightly cooking series A Bite to Eat with Alice Zaslavsky will settle into a new permanent 5:00pm timeslot when it returns later this month, following its underwhelming reception at 6:00pm.
From ABC: Hands on buzzers! It’s time to play Claire Hooper’s House of Games. Hosted by one of Australia’s favourite stand-up comedians Claire Hooper, the play along at home quiz show will see four celebrity players battle it out each week to test their skills in an entertaining series of trivia-based puzzles, riddles and brain teasers. .
From what I just heard on her Instagram, Holly Perkins recently got laid off. And that's sad. But we decided to cheer her up........with this segment.
And now, comedienne Holly Perkins goes into the mind of what goes down in the world of movies, music and more. It's......Last week in Holly's Pop Culture Brain. Text edition.
Today’s Thursday but it feels like a Friday so I’m in a good mood! It's been really cloudy all week which is bumming me out, but Paige Desorbo taught me¹ how to do my own spray tan so I can fake the sun! Now my hands always look kind of dirty and I may be a tinge orange, but thanks to growing up in 2000s tanning bed culture that I was too scared participate in, I feel about 10x hotter than I normally do when I slather myself in tanning mousse. Between that and the at-home bang trim from last week I'm having somewhat of a budget glow up, that may or may not be making me look worse. Hard to say. Anyway, we’re starting off with some bummer news this week…
RIP George Foreman
The boxing legend, two-time world heavyweight champion, and Olympic gold medalist, who made a fortune from his signature George Foreman Grill passed away at 76 last Friday. I always loved his infomercials. Without his grill, I would have never made it through my crash diet of grilled vegetables and bland grilled chicken in my early 20s, and no bachelor would ever be able to cook for himself. A man who had 12 kids and named all five of his sons George Foreman and one of his daughters Georgetta (“I named all my sons George Edward Foreman so they would always have something in common. I say to them, 'If one of us goes up, then we all go up together, and if one goes down, we all go down together!'"). May he watch over us all and make sure we’re able to find the drip tray when we need it and ensure it's in the right place so that the grease doesn't go all over your counter.
What’s in The News
Jessica Simpson and Jeremy Renner
Jessica Simpson commented a fire emoji on a workout video that Jeremy Renner posted and he liked it. You can tell it has been a sloooow week in pop culture news because several outlets reported on this.
We <3 Benny?
I think that after the entire Internet was grossed out by Benny Blanco's nacho cheese bath his PR team went into overdrive because I kind of love him now. My TikTok feed was flooded with videos of him saying really insightful stuff, giving a really sweet humble home tour, and doing an interview with his fiancé Selena Gomez where he said all the right green flag things. I feel like social media is also taking a lot of steps to try to remind me that he has blessed us with some of the greatest pop songs of my lifetime, including Britney Spears’s Circus, Ke$ha's Tik Tok, Rihanna’s Diamonds and Kali Uchi’s Moonlight.
Hot People News
Patrick Schwarzenegger and his model fianceé did a Skims ad. Sometimes actors do this thing where they play a hateable character so well that I hate them in real life and I think that's happening here because I did not care at all about this. I did however, care about the ad for Falconeri that longtime partners Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham did because these are two of the hottest people that I've ever seen and I think they do deserve to get paid just to be hot.
Departing Bonaparte
Leva Bonaparte, who recently came under fire for not allowing a group of black people into one of her establishments (with the dumbest name since Schwartz & Sandy’s- Zachary’s Daiquiris) because of how they were dressed, and for giving us absolutely nothing on this season of Southern Charm announced that she is departing the show. I think she's one most gorgeous people on Bravo but I'm not sure it's a big loss for the show.
Bye, Beauvais
Garcelle Beauvais also announced that she will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills next year. I sort of wish that Kyle was also not returning. It will be interesting to see how Sutton fares without Garcelle. But again, I love her, so gorgeous, but I'm not sure it's a huge loss for the show in general.
Okay that’s all for this week. Thanks so much for reading!

Rob Lowe blasted California and Los Angeles leadership over how expensive in-state film and TV production has gotten. The actor and “Literally!” podcast host insisted that “everybody” involved in the production exodus to overseas production hubs like Dublin, Ireland (where his own “The Floor” films) should lose their jobs.
“There are no tax credits, so like, all those other places are offering 40% — 40%. And then on top of that, there’s other stuff that they do,” Lowe said in conversation with his former “Parks and Recreation” co-star Adam Scott earlier this month. “And then, that’s not even talking about union stuff. It’s just tax, economics of it all, so it’s criminal what California and L.A. have let happen — it’s criminal. Everybody should be fired.”
The conversation came about after Lowe shared where he films his Fox game show, which prompted the podcast host to give his two cents on Hollywood’s state of affairs as it relates to production leaving the one-time hub for other states and countries for better tax incentives, talent pools and more.
“It’s cheaper to bring 100 American people to Ireland than to walk across the lot, Fox, past the sound stages and do it there,” Lowe said of “The Floor.”
The search for the next big fashion designer is back as Project Runway Season 21 begins production.
Heidi Klum is returning to the competition as host and judge and will be joined by OG judge Nina Garcia and Law Roach.
Garcia is the editor-in-chief of the U.S. edition of Elle magazine and has been a judge on the reality series competition since its debut in 2004.
Law Roach joins the judging panel after working as an image architect with celebrities such as Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Celine Dion, and Tom Holland.
Siriano won Project Runway in Season 4 and became a mentor when Bravo rebooted the show in 2019 for Season 17. The CFDA designer will guide contestants in the workroom, having experience designing for personalities like first ladies Dr. Jill Biden and Michelle Obama, former Vice President Kamala Harris, Angelina Jolie, Oprah, Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Julianne Moore, Lady Gaga, Tiffany Haddish, Billy Porter, Cardi B, Whoopi Goldberg, Julia Roberts and Jennifer Coolidge, to name but a few
Project Runway Season 21 is set to premiere this summer on Freeform and will be available to stream shortly after on Disney+ and Hulu. The designing competition is produced by Spyglass Media Group and Alfred Street Industries. Gary Barber and Sean Hoagland serve as executive producers for Spyglass. Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe, Michael Rucker, and San Heng serve as executive producers for Alfred Street Industries. Klum, Siriano, and Garcia also serve as executive producers.
“Game Changer” is officially returning on Dropout starting April 7, with the ten-episode Season 7 dropping episodes biweekly on the comedy streaming service.
This season’s cast includes Brennan Lee Mulligan, Vic Michaelis, Lisa Gilroy, Lou Wilson and Oscar Montoya as the game show changes its premise every episode. Last season, the contestants faced unpredictable challenges revolving around art, bingo, trivia questions and false personas.
The show is hosted and executive produced by Dropout CEO Sam Reich, with co-executive producers including Chloe Badner, Ryan Creamer, Sam Geer, Mulligan and Paul Robalino. Sam Geer edited and directed all ten episodes.
