There's a Traitor in the TARDIS!!!!!!!!!!!!

The TARDIS will be up and running again in April.

Disney+ and the BBC have set an April 12 premiere date for season two Doctor Who, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor. (The show reset its season numbering with the most recent installment, which aired last year. Gutwa is the Fifteenth Doctor in the show’s long history, which dates back to 1963.)

Varada Sethu joins the show as the Doctor’s new companion, Belinda Chandra. Millie Gibson will reprise her role as Ruby Sunday.

The show also announced that Alan Cumming will have a guest role in the season’s second episode, voicing a cartoon character named Mr. Ring-A-Ding who breaks out of his celluloid world. As the official description puts it, “Mr. Ring-a-Ding, a happy, funny, singalong cartoon, lives in Sunny Town with his friend Sunshine Sally. However, in 1952, after years of repeats in cinemas across the land, Mr. Ring-a-Ding suddenly looks beyond the screen and sees the real world outside — and the consequences are terrifying.” (Cumming previously guest-starred as King James I in a 2018 episode).

“Only Alan Cumming could give a runaway cartoon so much wit, malice, danger and fun,” said showrunner Russell T Davies. “He makes the whole universe of Doctor Who wilder and madder than ever, and it’s an absolute honour to welcome him on board the TARDIS.” Here’s a look at Mr. Ring-A-Ding:

Cumming joins previously announced guest stars Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Anita Dobson, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave and Susan Twist.

Davies executive produces Doctor Who with Joel Collins, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter. The eight-episode season will run weekly on the BBC and BBC iPlayer in the U.K. and Ireland and Disney+ in the U.S. and elsewhere.

And right now we have a special guest via Microsoft Zune. She is a classical pianist from Scotland and her name is Catriona McKenzie. So Catriona, you have some questions that our viewers have asked us to send in, so why not get to a few of them?

In the battle for game show supremacy one show has seen a surge in ratings while the other has cooled down. New figures show that Jeopardy! is back on top as Wheel of Fortune saw a drop in viewing figures.

And it seems that some of that could be down to contestant Drew Goins, who appeared on Jeopardy!‘s Champions Wild Card Tournament during the week of January 20 to January 26, which saw the game show reclaim its top spot. Despite falling just short of victory against Mehal Shah for a spot in the Tournament of Champions, Goins was picked to be an alternate after Celebrity Jeopardy! winner Lisa Ann Walter wasn’t able to take her spot. Sadly, he lost in the semi-final on February 6.

The U.S. Sun reports that 8,430,000 people tuned in to watch Jeopardy! that week, according to Nielsen. Wheel of Fortune wasn’t far behind with 8,111,000 viewers.

These ratings come five months after Ryan Seacrest made his debut as host on WOF. He took over for Pat Sajak, who retired in 2024 after 41 seasons. In October, just weeks after Seacrest made his debut on Wheel of Fortune, the game show totaled 7.99 million total viewers, making its best premiere month audience (9/9/24-10/6/24) in three years. At the time, Wheel was TV’s number one most-watched entertainment program, surpassing Jeopardy!, which is hosted by Ken Jennings. Wheel has long trailed Jeopardy! in ratings, despite the game shows airing back-to-back in syndication. Even with the celebrity versions, Jeopardy! pulls ahead.

The BBC is reportedly rebooting the popular gameshow, Hole in the Wall, with Alison Hammond expected to present.

The show had previously been hosted by the late Dale Winton and Strictly judge Anton Du Beke. The show originally ran for two series from 2008 to 2009.

The BBC reportedly wanted to revive it because it received "great ratings" while it aired. Now, a source from The Sun has suggested that Hammond is jumping "at the chance" to host the reboot.

Discussing the BBC show reboot, a source told The Sun: "Hole In The Wall got great ratings when it first came out so the Beeb have decided to bring it back.

"They are currently filming the pilot to see how it shapes up. They wanted to sign Alison and she jumped at the chance to do it."

Discussing Hammond, the source added: "She’s one of TV’s most in-demand stars right now and the Beeb is over the moon that they’ve signed her.
