Amy Irons: From around the world....across the country....and in your neighborhoods, NOW......in its 7th consecutive year, this is.................................
And now, the (Nearly) world-famous contestant...Pierre Kelly!
Me: Welcome to Game Show Live! Let's get right into it with.......
The Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.
This week, 30 years ago, these 4 programs gave way to interactive telly on Freeform. And i shall dissect them.
The rules are simple. A question is asked, and 1000 points is the maximum. For every second ticking away, points will be deducted. The faster you solve, the more points you'll earn. Think of it as playing the 8-player You Don't know Jack Game in recent years. After each round, one has to go away and all scores revert back to a donut, repeat the round with new questions, get rid of somebody else, same thing for round 3 until the sole survivor takes away a trip and a prize. But let's dissect some more facts for you.
Shuffle, Boggle and Jumble all had the same theme tune, Trivial Pursuit had a different one which BTW, took it to the uk.
one of these 4 is currently on the CW. And it is...........
This time with PBS legend Levar Burton.
It's also the one that has an interactive show and a main show in an hour.
One show was actually not based on a board game or a newspaper game. It's........Shuffle.
The game was played in three rounds. In each round, the objective was to rearrange four answers to a question in the proper order. Wink gave four possible answers and then read a question as to which would go first, and then later he would ask which of the remaining answers would come second. After each question, the contestants pressed one of four buttons on their keypads (1, 2, 3 or 4). They had 10 seconds to answer the first question, and 5 seconds to answer the second question. After the second question, Wink would reveal where the remaining answers would be positioned. Contestants scored points according to how fast they pressed the right number; up to 1,000 points for the first answer, and up to 500 points for the second answer. For a total of up to 1500 points each list.

Amy: Some members of our viewing audience will receive......
A bikini from Spirit Halloween unless somebody is about to get fired from Victoria's Secret. Looking like Pamela Anderson from Baywatch actually makes the look real good. So get to Victoria's, er um, Spirit Halloween today. Now getting back to where malls used to be, it's Pierre Kelly!
Me: And it's so good to have Amy Irons back after being gone for one week.

We are in continuation of Retro-Ber with another personal recommendation. The name: Meredith_Vintage. Down through the years, she has collected VHS and later Betamax. Now, she brings that passion to the Youtube video screens. From the 70's to the noughties, she does mostly commercials and sometimes newscasts. About a month ago, she did this:
Her Youtube link is this:

She IS vintage.

It's one last ride for Sajak.
Break out the tissues, because a date has been set for Pat Sajak's final Wheel of Fortune spin.
Sajak has already been replaced by Ryan Seacrest as the host of the original, long-running game show, but he's coming back for one last season of its spin-off program Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. He'll return with his cohost of three-plus decades, Vanna White, for the season premiere on Oct. 14.
The season will see celebrity guests competing for $1 million in prize money for a charity of their choice.
Those guests include Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper, and Oscar Nuñez of The Office; Josh Gad, Justin Long, and Rachael Harris of New Girl; Sam Richardson, Randall Park, and Matt Walsh of Veep; Tiffany Haddish and Regina Hall of Girls Trip; as well as Joe Manganiello, Katharine McPhee, Andrew Rannells, Cameron Brink, and even more to be announced.

Back in the 1980s, NBC ran a show called Scrabble, a television version of the popular word-based board game, and now it's being revived by The CW, starting on Thursday October 3.
Hosted by Raven-Symoné, Scrabble will see contestants facing off in a bid to win points by virtue of their wordsmithery, putting together the most complex words possible from the letters at their disposal.
The show is one of two new acquisitions by The CW, alongside another board game format, Trivial Pursuit, with the two shows airing back-to-back on Thursdays on what the network is dubbing 'Game Night'.
Scrabble ran for six years until 1990, before enjoying a brief comeback in 1993, and now, nearly 30 years on, the idea has been rekindled by the production company Hasbro Entertainment and picked up by The CW network, with a new format but the same name as the much-loved old show.
LeVar Burton hosts "Trivial Pursuit", a new reality competition series based on the beloved board game. "It's the colors, it's the wheels," Burton shares. "We are all familiar with the wedges of pie, and even if you don't know all six categories by name, you'll be able to immediately recognize it. There are two games in every episode. We begin with three contestants, whittle it down to two, then down to a single player who goes on to play for the $10,000 in the final round."
"Trivial Pursuit" had previous TV versions in 1993 (on what would become Freeform), 2004 (on ESPN), and 2008 (in syndication).
So how did the lineup do? All things considered... It was a case of meeting lowered expectations, with Scrabble (0.24/1 households; 392k viewers; 0.06/1 A18-49) and Trivial Pursuit (0.30/1; 485k; 0.09/1) posting slightly above average for the CW (0.27/1; 439k; 0.07/1).
The rest of the networks were fighting it out for all the eyeballs that weren't watching football on Prime or baseball on ESPN.
ABC (2.35/7; 3.764m; 0.35/4) lead the night with new episodes of 9-1-1 (3.01/9; 4.922m; 0.42/5), Doctor Odyssey (2.41/7; 3.861m; 0.31/3), and Grey's Anatomy (1.62/5; 2.508m' 0.31/3).
NBC (2.14/7; 3.326m; 0.33/3) took a narrow second with premieres of Law & Order (2.31/7; 3.636m; 0.36/4); SVU (2.45/7; 3.806m; 0.40/4), and Found (1.65/6; 2.513m; 0.40/4).
CBS (1.44/4; 2.495m; 0.41/4) was on the board with the live eviction on Big Brother (1.65/5; 2.921m; 0.53/5).
Fox (0.79/2; 1.314m; 0.20/2) was left with Hell's Kitchen (0.91/3; 1.5m; 0.23/3) and Crime Scene Kitchen (0.67/2; 1.122m; 0.16/2).

AJ Odudu and Will Best return as hosts of Big Brother UK Season 21 with a live launch on Sunday, October 6, on ITV2 and streaming on ITVX.
The housemates will live under the watchful eye of Big Brother 24 hours a day and avoid nomination from their fellow housemates and eviction from the public vote. Big Brother's house has a fresh coat of paint and will welcome a new crop of housemates.
The live launch of Big Brother UK Series 21 will air at 9 p.m. BST and will stream live on the ITVX streamer.
Following the live launch, Odudu and Best will host Big Brother: Late and Live at 10:50 p.m. BST. After the premiere, Big Brother UK will air nightly at 9 p.m. BST, except for Saturday night.
Ahead of the premiere, Odudu shared her excitement about coming back to host a new season of Big Brother UK.
"So fantastic! The first one, there was so much anticipation around it and we wanted to do it justice and pay homage to the show that we all know and love, and put our own stamp on it. We're just delighted that it was really well received by the audience, so much so that we're back for round two and we couldn't be happier," Odudu said in a statement.
West noted what he likes about co-hosting the reality competition with Odudu, saying, "We said going into the first one, it was so great to be able to share it with a friend – I think partly we had it in the back of our minds, for better or for worse. If it's harder than we thought then it will be great to have that support of a friend. But now that we've done it, the main takeaway was that it's really fun – Friday eviction nights are just fun! We get to hang out every Friday night and sharing the good times is what I'm really excited about."

Here's a bedtime story your kids can't read. It's actually this on Amazon that I found...........
in it, Margaret Hall was devastated by the death of her husband, Nate, only to be served another gut punch when she discovered the nefarious affair he’d been having with her friend and sister-in-law, Chelsea. Margaret’s devastation became the determination she needed to hurdle the barbed obstacles of anger, fear, and self doubt about being a disabled single parent to her son, James, and younger daughter, Janey. Now, five years later, a happier, braver Margaret Hall is managing her family, friends, and illness quite well. Margaret tells her best friends, Marie and Adeline, about running into her handsome new neighbor, Brian Hart. However, with Brian’s good looks and charm comes a secret, and the not-so-dearly departed Nate’s past transgressions reach from beyond the grave to upend Margaret's life yet again. Marie Pierce is a fit-for-speed doctor’s wife and mother to twelve-year-old Greyson. Marie has spent the last five years building a fitness business and fitting her nose into every bit of Margaret’s business because that is what best friends do—especially when there’s a new neighbor to be suspicious of. A phone call from her husband, William the pediatrician, will mean Marie’s greatest challenge yet. Adeline Hayes loves Tim. When they got married, she had naively thought forsaking all others would be easy. Now, after years of marriage and two daughters, thinking of spending the rest of her life pretending is agonizing. What happens when Tim sees another side of Adeline? Can they find a way forward? Envy is about how life can be strange and at times cruel and confusing. With glorious moments nothing short of magical, delightful, and inappropriately hilarious, Margaret learns that life is more than right now. In times of hopelessness, she will hold fast, be brave, and grow to be true to who she is.
Delaney Parker writes this amazing novel for almost $20 on Paperback or lesser on Kindle if you go to this link:
