50 Physical Challenges Later.....

Marc Summers and his wife Alice Filous are celebrating a milestone!

“Celebrating 50 years at Nobu in Malibu,” the television host and producer, 72, shared on Instagram alongside a picture of himself and Filous on Sunday, June 16.

In the photo, Summers wrapped his arm around his wife — whom he married in 1974 — as the two smiled for the sweet photo op. The Pacific Ocean served as the couple’s backdrop as waves could be seen in the distance on the sunny day.

In May, the television host spoke to PEOPLE about his one-man show The Life and Slimes of Marc Summers, which was held at the New World Stages in New York City through June 2.

At the time, Summers — who recently became a grandfather — opened up about how his busy schedule sometimes interfered with family time.

“I'm sitting in a hotel room in New York City, and it is a bit of a sacrifice. Every night when I'll say, ‘Wow, I'm really tired and I miss you guys. I want to come home,' my wife goes, ‘But you're doing what you've always wanted to do,'" Summers told PEOPLE. "And that’s true. I can't complain. But it's not easy. And is it fun being on stage for 90 minutes? I love it, but it's the other 22 and a half hours you got to worry about.”

HOST JOHN CENA KICKS-OFF DISCOVERY CHANNEL'S ANNUAL SHARK WEEK ON SUNDAY, JULY 7 at 8PM ET/PT

New York - June 13, 2024 - Thrilling encounters with apex predators, epic deep-sea expeditions, and weighty concerns about the poop from the fattest white sharks patrolling the waters are just a few of the extraordinary stories that will emerge during Discovery Channel's Shark Week, beginning Sunday, July 7 at 8PM ET/PT. Host John Cena will guide viewers through 21 hours of new programming and preview each night's top moments alongside interviews with fan favorite shark experts.

"I usually do Shark Week from my couch - with lots of snacks, but this year I'm beyond excited to host the week dedicated to the endlessly fascinating, action heroes of the Ocean," said John Cena. "It's a wild week of shocking new footage, new discoveries, and lots and lots of teeth."

The highly anticipated annual week-long celebration of sharks will include the next chapter of the hit show Belly of the Beast, that offers a terrifying and fascinating real look at a Great White shark feeding frenzy; Monster Hammerheads: Species X, that follows a potential new hammerhead species; and Great White Serial Killer: Sea of Blood, that investigates a massive shark who decapitates its victim and terrorizes a local village.

Warner Bros. Discovery's linear and streaming portfolio - including Food Network, HGTV, ID, TBS, TNT, TCM, TLC, CNN and Max - will air Shark Week-inspired content or cross-promote the event.

NEW YORK - June 13, 2024 - Multi-hyphenate Jimmy Fallon has renewed his deal with NBCUniversal as host of the "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," extending the popular host's tenure at the beloved late-night staple through 2028.

Fallon recently celebrated his 10-year anniversary as host of the iconic franchise with a two-hour primetime special on NBC that won its timeslot against all-original competition. The Emmy-nominated "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" launched on May 14, 2014.

Fallon began his run at NBC in 1998 at "Saturday Night Live" and quickly became a fan-favorite during his time there. Coining musical bits and sketches that stand the test of time are still part of the broadcast to this day. Fallon's work also includes the Emmy Award-nominated "Password" and "That's My Jam."

"For nearly 30 years, Jimmy Fallon has brought laughter into the homes of millions and charmed audiences from the stages of 30 Rock," said Mark Lazarus, Chairman, NBCUniversal Media Group. "It's been a privilege to witness Jimmy at the helm of the 'The Tonight Show' and we're thrilled to see what innovations he and the incredible staff will deliver in the years to come at the network."

"For nearly 30 years, I've brought laughter into the homes of millions and charmed audiences from the stages of 30 Rock," said Fallon. "It's been a privilege to be at the helm of the 'The Tonight Show' and I'm thrilled to see what innovations me and the incredible staff will deliver in the years to come at the network. No, I'm not changing my quote. Tell Mark to change his."

"Throughout his time at NBC on 'Saturday Night Live,' 'Late Night' and 'The Tonight Show,' Jimmy Fallon has demonstrated his extraordinary talent and been an integral part of our iconic comedy brand," said Frances Berwick, Chairman, NBCUniversal Entertainment. "We couldn't be more excited to continue our relationship with Jimmy and to see him carrying 'The Tonight Show' torch into the future."

Every season Fallon has hosted, "The Tonight Show" has ranked #1 (or tied for #1) in the key 18-49 demo. In addition, Fallon has expanded the show's reach from TV to digital with nearly 100 million total followers and subscribers across its platforms and more than 8 billion views in 2023 alone. With sketches, songs and celebrity guests, Fallon's digital presence dominates the space compared to his contemporaries. Fallon also serves as an EP and panelist on the Emmy-nominated NBC fan-favorite "Password," which is currently in its second season.

"The Tonight Show" is the longest-running talk show on television and the #1 late-night program on digital. Taped in front of a live studio audience from Studio 6B at 30 Rockefeller Center in New York City, "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" airs Mondays through Fridays from 11:35 p.m.-12:35 a.m. ET/PT on NBC and streams next day on Peacock.

From Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Broadway Video, "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" is executive produced by Lorne Michaels and produced by Chris Miller and Gerard Bradford. Miller is the showrunner.

Left the Barn door open

Farmer Ty left viewers a little shocked during the Farmer Wants a Wife Season 2 finale that aired May 9 on Fox.

Ty Ferrell, a 42-year-old cowboy and insurance adjuster from Sikeston, Missouri, chose not to continue a relationship with either of his final two ladies, Melody Fernandez and Megan Lay.

Many viewers of the show — and, it seemed, Megan herself — were blindsided by Ty's decision to end his relationship with Megan, saying he saw their connection as more of a friendship.

But, Ty said, it's not quite as simple as the final edit made it seem. Ty and Megan's breakup scene in the finale took up about five minutes of screen time, but in reality, Ty said it took about an hour and a half to film, and was filmed over multiple takes.

Leading up to filming the finale was tough for Ty, as he knew going into it he wouldn't be picking either of the women.

"I was a wreck for like a day-and-a-half," Ty said. "It was a very emotional time for me because I knew that I was basically going to have to tell Megan that she wasn't my person. And it did blindside her."

And while Ty and Megan ended on a bad note when filming wrapped in late November, they've since remained friends. Ty said they had a four-hour long phone call a few days after filming the finale, and talked throughout the airing of Season 2.

But viewers of the show don't get the inside knowledge about filming, and many reacted accordingly online after the finale aired, upset with Ty for breaking Megan's heart.

Ty, who's kept up with Farmer Wants a Wife content online, read a lot of negative comments and messages about him the day after that final episode.

"It was tough the day after (the finale) reading all the things because I was portrayed in a way that I don't feel like is me," Ty said. "I never thought I would be somebody on TV that was basically polarizing."

He said he felt like he often came across as cold and unfeeling on camera, but in reality, he's quite the opposite.

"I'm a feeler, to be honest," Ty said. "I'm not portrayed like that at all."

Filming of the show took place over six weeks, and included long, 12-hour days of filming. That's a lot of footage that doesn't make the final cut.

But that's not to say none of Ty's more vulnerable moments didn't get captured on screen.

When Ty and Amy Bryant decided to part ways in Episode 6, the emotions were felt all throughout the set.

"Our producer was crying. I think a couple of the camera guys were crying," Ty said. "That was a very real, intimate moment."

Ty had never seen Season 1 of Farmer Wants a Wife, but when a friend reached out to him and told him the show was casting for Season 2, he decided to go for it. Sikeston has a population of about 16,000 and is approximately two hours from the nearest airport, which Ty said has made dating difficult.

After watching Season 1 and seeing the show brought women directly to the farm, Ty thought it would be a great way to meet a potential partner looking for a rural lifestyle.
