This week......

(Augmented TV shows TPIR current set)

Buzzr wanted it and it HAS it.

(switches screen to Michael Larsen)

and one perfect date means one million dollars.

(camera goes to the desk)

Let's................ Get................... Lit!

Opening Theme

Amy Irons: From around the world....across the country....and in your neighborhoods, NOW......in its 7th consecutive year, this is.................................

And now, the (Nearly) world-famous contestant...Pierre Kelly!

Me: Welcome to Game Show Live! Let's get right into it with.......

The  Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.

Buzzr......The same hype that brought us.............

And by the next year, the same hype that gave us............

And to a much better extent...........

And most recently..................

The hype.................is about to get.......................even more real.

I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about this.

If you grew up in the '80s and '90s, then watching The Price Is Right was a staple of childhood sick days. Now, classic game-show channel Buzzr is giving viewers under the age of 35 the chance to hang out with Bob Barker again. After years of requests from fans, the all-games network is finally adding throwback episodes of the CBS staple to its daily lineup, Vulture has learned. Back-to-back installments of Barker's bargain-hunting bonanza will air daily from 3 to 5 p.m. ET, starting on Tuesday, May 28. Buzzr is planning to kick off its run of TPIR with episodes from the 1984–85 season, shuffling through more than 200 hours of episodes over the next few months.

While Buzzr has long been home to most of the biggest game-show titles from the library of parent company Fremantle — Match Game, Password, and Press Your Luck — old-school TPIR has been conspicuously absent. Even after Fremantle launched a free ad-supported streaming channel with nothing but Barker's TPIR at the end of 2020, the Goodson-Todman classic stayed off of traditional TV; ditto when Barker died in August 2023. If you wanted to watch The Price Is Right on a regular TV network, then your only option in recent decades has been Drew Carey's long-running CBS version of the format. Even better, Barker's return to linear TV coincides with the second annual National Game Show Day.

On June 23rd......................

Obviously, AJ Francis is one of them. The same guy from Hit Row in the WWE and the same guy from the NFL who should've went back to the XFL or the USFL. It's the UFL now. Because XFL didn't make sense and the 2001 version was memorable. Anyways, if in the event AJ Francis shows up in the VIP Area or in the Wrestlecenter, it's best to do this life hack. Game Show Live! has agreed to do the following:

1. Head into the Wrestlecenter with your paid ticket.

2. Take a picture of AJ Francis.

and 3. Troll him with the following tune on Instagram or Facebook or both. And that tune is this:

Yes, Mr. Joe Hendry. The man AJ Francis can't stand for at all. Why Joe Hendry? He can wrestle and well and show us his musical talents. Roll the film.

So I'm asking you and everyone out there to please DM Memphis Wrestling on Social media and have Joe Hendry in the Wrestlecenter so that AJ Francis isn't in anymore. That was a Public safety message. Thank you.

You've seen this before and now it's becoming a movie. Unfortunately, Elizabeth Banks isn't producing this.

aul Walter Hauser (Black Bird, Richard Jewell) will lead the cast of Press Your Luck, a pic based on a true story of an unemployed ice-cream truck driver who won big on a 1980s game show.

Set in 1984, the film follows Ohio resident Michael Larson, who steps on to the set of game show 'Press Your Luck' harboring a secret: the key to endless amounts of money. But his winning streak gets threatened when the executives in the control room start to uncover his real motivations. You can see a first look image above.

Joining Hauser in an ensemble cast are Walton Goggins (Fallout, The Hateful Eight), David Strathairn (Nomadland, Good Night and Good Luck), Emmy-nominated Maisie Williams (The New Look, Game of Thrones), Haley Bennett (Swallow, The Magnificent Seven), Shamier Anderson (John Wick: Chapter 4, Invasion), David Rysdahl (Fargo, Oppenheimer), Johnny Knoxville (Jackass, Dukes of Hazzard), Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker, Chicago P.D.), Patti Harrison (Theater Camp, Together Together) and Shaunette Renée Wilson (Indiana Jones, Black Panther).

Samir Oliveros directs from a screenplay co-written with Maggie Briggs (Joyland). His company, Plenty Good (Chronicles Of A Wandering Saint) is the producer, and co-producer is Fabula (El Conde). The film is in post-production, with Protagonist Pictures handling international sales and CAA Media Finance representing North American rights.

"Samir has crafted a unique and stylish telling of the incredible true story of a down on his luck everyman gaming the system," said Protagonist Pictures' CEO, Dave Bishop. "We couldn't be happier to be working with the very talented Samir and our friends at Fabula and Plenty Good."

Press Your Luck is produced by Amanda Freedman, and executive produced by Andrew Hevia, Juan de Dios Larraín, Pablo Larraín, Hauser, Juan Pablo Solano, Simon Beltran, Sara McFarlane, Damiano Tucci, Tiziano Tucci, Sophia Banks, Arun Thapar, Divya Shahani and Roger Lolly. Constanza Muñoz is co-producer.

The idea of turning the story of Michael Larsen on "Press Your Luck" into a theatrical is not new. As early as 2000, Howard Franklin was tapped to direct the project with Bill Murray slated to play Larsen and Nicolas Cage slated to produce. It was placed in "turnaround" at Columbia before Mandalay Entertainment picked it up. It had since languished in development hell.

Jeremy Vine has hinted long-running quiz show 'Eggheads' is dead.

Its former host, 58, fronted the show from 2008 after it started to air five years earlier, and rumors have been rife the quiz show had been shelved since its last episode screened in April 2023.

Jeremy has now told The Sun: "I haven't heard anything about 'Eggheads' for a while now.

"I think I have done about 1,200 shows – but whether we are doing any more I don't know.

"We last filmed an episode over a year ago.

"It may well be we are doing it in 30 years' time, who knows, but no immediate plans for any more."

'Eggheads' started on BBC One before moving to BBC Two and then Channel 5 in in 2021. It saw a group of contestants take on a panel of 'egghead' experts to win money, similar to ITV's 'The Chase'.

When it started in 2003 it was hosted by Dermot Murnaghan, 66, before Jeremy came in as co-chair in 2008, with the pair rotating before he became the only presenter of the series for its 16th run.

Squid Game — The Challenge has won the Reality category at the BAFTA TV Awards.

The UK-produced Netflix show beat off competition from shows such as Banged Up and Married At First Sight. A competition version of Korean drama Squid Game, it pitted 456 payers against each other in a big to win a massive cash prize.

The challenges ranged from the infamous "Red Light Green Light" from the 2021 drama, in which contestants had to avoid moving while in the eyeline of a horrifying giant doll, to new ones based on children's games such as Battleship. One player ultimately walked away with $4.56M.

The show comes from The Traitors producer Studio Lambert and The Garden, a rare co-production between two major British unscripted producers from different production groups.

The Traitors won last year, when the the category was known as Reality and Constructed Factual.

Here's a weird news item.

Confirmed at today's upfront presentation at Radio City Music Hall in New York, NBC's four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns for season 26 in the fall with a powerhouse coaching panel as Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé join returning coaches Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani.

Bublé, an unstoppable talent known for his world-class showmanship, brings his singular style and vocal power to the dynamic coaching panel. He is a friend of "The Voice," having served as a season 3 advisor to Team Blake.

Already known as Coach Snoop in the world of sports, he now takes his skills from the field to the Voice stage. An industry mogul and globally recognized innovator, Snoop Dogg taps into his extensive work in music and unique approach as an entertainer to bolster the competition. He previously took the reins as season 20 mega mentor.

Industry trailblazers Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani reclaim their red chairs for another chance at coaching a fresh crop of rising artists. This marks McEntire's third consecutive season on the show and Stefani's eighth.

The season 25 live shows continue today at 8 p.m. ET/PT with a powerful two-hour semi-final. The top nine artists will perform a song specifically dedicated to their hometowns as they vie for a spot in the finale.

"The Voice" is the most-watched alternative series for the 2023-24 season (L7).

Fox is staying in the survival business.

The network, which airs Special Forces: The World's Toughest Test, has ordered another survival competition series – Extracted.

Giving few details about the show, the network said "for the first time ever, the contestants are not in charge of their destiny".

It comes from Sony Pictures Television's B17 Entertainment, Sylvester Stallone's Balboa Productions and Fox Entertainment.

B17 was founded by Brien Meagher and Rhett Bachner and is behind series such as Roku's Thanks A Million and Netflix's History of Swear Words. Stallone's Balboa, which has a first-look deal with Amazon Studios, is known for its scripted TV and movies including Paramount+'s Tulsa King and features including Scavenger Hunt and Lost On a Mountain In Maine. It is also behind Stallone's reality series The Family Stallone.

Elsewhere on Fox's unscripted slate, which also saw The Floor handed a two-season renewal, are the two-hour special based on The Real Full Monty, which Deadline revealed earlier this year, and Lego Master's annual holiday special. Lego Masters: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular returns for a multiple-night event.

The Real Full Monty will be led by Anthony Anderson and will feature Taye Diggs, Tyler Posey, Bruno Tonioli and James Van Der Beek as well as Kansas City Chiefs' Chris Jones raising awareness for prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer.

"Don't die of embarrassment. Get checked. That's the message behind The Real Full Monty special," said Anderson. "I am honored to lead the charge of rallying these fearless men to bare it all, in order to provoke, inspire and in this case, beg you to get screened for cancer. That's our goal…so what are you waiting for!?"

And we get a full Mistplay Game Break. Here's a question:

Think about it after this throwback to 10 years ago. Remember this?

And were you wrong if you picked Reptiles or Fish?

You were because Birds is what it is. The Orioles, the Cardinals and the Blue Jays.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So how does it feel to have the Queen of Wonderama herself, Sophia Angelica turn 26 this year? With this.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10 years ago, we asked this question......

Are You the One? (often abbreviated as AYTO?) is an American reality television series featuring a group of men and women that are secretly paired into couples via a matchmaking algorithm. While living together, the contestants try to identify all of these "perfect matches." If they succeed, the entire group shares a prize of up to $1 million. All couples in the first seven seasons were male-female, while in the eighth season a contestant's match could be someone of any gender.

Over the course of each season, the contestants go on dates with partners determined by competitions (or, in the seventh season only, by the "fate button"), and have the opportunity to learn in the "truth booth" if a given couple is a correct match. Once the truth booth confirms a perfect match, that couple will go to the honeymoon suite and will automatically be paired up for the remainder of the match ceremonies. At the end of each episode, the contestants pair up in a "matching ceremony" and learn how many perfect matches they have, but not which matches are correct.[1] From season 3 onward, the prize was reduced any time that the house failed to identify any matches other than those already confirmed via the truth booth.

On June 26, 2019, the eighth season began broadcasting on MTV.[2] This series was marked as the first to exclusively feature openly LGBT and sexually fluid contestants, a decision that was met with critical acclaim.[3][4][5]

On March 3, 2022, it was announced that the show would be revived as an international version by Paramount+.[6] On December 8, 2022, it was announced that Kamie Crawford would be the new host, and that the ninth season would premiere on January 18, 2023.
