And now, the (Nearly) world-famous contestant...Pierre Kelly!
Me: Welcome to Game Show Live! Let's get right into it with.......
The Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.
Travis Kelce is considering how to gain yards on a new field of play.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is in discussions to host a celebrity-focused reboot of the long-running game show "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" that would stream via Amazon Prime Video, according to two people familiar with the matter.
The deal, if signed, would represent the football great's latest move toward general entertainment after appearances on "Saturday Night Live," the reality series "Catching Kelce" and a podcast he hosts with his brother, Jason.
Amazon Prime Video declined to make executives available for comment, and CAA, the agency that represents Kelce, could not be reached for immediate comment.
There are some questions, according to the people familiar with discussions, about how much of a commitment Kelce could make to the venture if he continues playing football.
The new version of the program, originally hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy and appearing on Fox's broadcast network, would rely on celebrity guests rather than children, according to these people.
Kelce would take the helm of a durable property. "Fifth Grader" ran on Fox for three seasons starting in 2007 before moving to syndication. It returned to Fox for a fourth season, then migrated in a new version to Paramount Global's Nickelodeon, where it was hosted by John Cena.
He would not be the first athlete to host a game show. Michael Strahan has led a modern version of "The $100,000 Pyramid" on ABC, and Peyton Manning has hosted a retooled version of "College Bowl" for NBC and Peacock.
Producers would no doubt hope to leverage Kelce's relationship with singer and musician Taylor Swift to draw new fans to any series that might come to fruition. Swift's appearances at various NFL match-ups involving the Chiefs last season — including the team's appearance in Super Bowl LVIII — caught the eye of many younger consumers who might not ordinarily be football fans.
A casting side for "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity" audience fillers has been posted.

At least we all thought Jill Scott MBE was going to do a quiz show for Channel 4. But we find out who scored a goal and who actually scored an own goal. It's the Yay & Yawn of March.
The Yay: Jeopardy! They invited trivia legends to come up with an invitational tournament. Come on VIctoria Groce.
The Yawn: Mike Richards. Here's why.
Mike Richards certainly knew he had big shoes to fill when he was chosen as the new permanent Jeopardy! host in August 2021, replacing the late Alex Trebek, who had died of pancreatic cancer nine months earlier.
But what he didn't know was how the public would react to the news that he was taking over once it was announced — or that he'd only last one day on the job before it all came crumbling down.
"We never talked to potential hosts to replace Alex once we knew he was sick," Richards, 48, tells PEOPLE of searching for a new host. "A conversation like that would have been so disrespectful."
Richards, a longtime game show producer who had been brought in at the time to replace longtime producer Harry Friedman in 2020, adds: "But we had talked about people coming in and guest hosting if Alex got too sick, but we always knew Alex would come back until the day he decided he couldn't."
Although Richards understood that his appointment was "going to be scrutinized as closely as a presidential election," he wasn't prepared for allegations that he'd mistreated female staff members while serving as executive producer of "The Price is Right" to resurface.
"It was insinuated that I had been personally sued for sexual harassment," he told People in regard to the allegations. "I never had, but that didn't matter."
An exposΓ© published by The Ringer during that time also uncovered a series of sexist remarks that Richards had made on "The Randumb Show," a podcast he hosted from 2013 to 2014.
Since leaving the show as both host and executive producer after a day following investigation into said disparaging comments, Richards says he's mostly spent time with his family. "I did spend a lot of time reflecting on everything that had happened," he shares. "I mean, it was quite a firestorm that engulfed my family."
"Why I am talking now is that I feel like I can be a force for good as far as having open, honest conversations," he says. "We can all disagree about a lot of things. We can disagree about politics, we can disagree about who hosts Jeopardy!. We can disagree about liking a final Jeopardy! clue. And we should. But I felt like there was a this rush to judgment, and a lot of people got joy in saying, 'I got you.'"
But he's not bitter. He says he thinks Jennings is a great host, noting, "I always thought Ken was the guy."
For now, he's working on packaging and selling more shows, and says more than one person has told him he should write a book about what really goes on behind the scenes at game shows since he has the stories.
"If I wrote a book, it would be as a fan," he explains of getting the chance to work with people like Dick Clark, Bob Barker, Monty Hall, Pat Sajak and of course, Trebek. "Unless it's about those people? I'm not interested."

Lionsgate's Debmar-Mercury has renewed Game Show Network's People Puzzler, hosted by Leah Remini, for a second season in national broadcast syndication.
The pop culture game show is set to return this fall with renewals on Fox Television Stations, Sinclair, CBS, Nexstar, Gray and Scripps stations, which cover more than 90% of the U.S. The renewals follow People Puzzler recently hitting a high of more than 900,000 viewers, up 42% from its syndication debut in September. People Puzzler also is one of Game Show Network's top-rated original series.
"The healthy ratings growth we've seen from People Puzzler in its first months in syndication has been nothing short of remarkable," said Debmar-Mercury Co-Presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein. "Stations are hungry for proven performers and we are excited to be able to bring this winning game show back to the market next season."

Paramount Global shares, which soared Wednesday on news that Apollo had made an $11 billion offer for Paramount Pictures, has slumped today after a report splashed cold water on the scenario.
Shares in the media company had dropped 5% by mid-day, to below $12, after the Financial Times reported that controlling shareholder Shari Redstone is "unconvinced" by the private equity offer. Apollo's offer, which valued just the studio at more than the entirety of Paramount Global, pushed the stock up 12% on Wednesday. Redstone has long regarded the studio, which was a cherished asset of her father, Sumner Redstone, as the centerpiece for Paramount and a deal without the studio could be far trickier to engineer.
Apollo Global Management, a major private-equity firm, has submitted an $11 billion bid to acquire Paramount Pictures and the Paramount TV studios group, according to a published report.
The Wall Street Journal, citing anonymous sources, reported that Apollo Global offered $11 billion for Paramount Global's film and TV studio business. That would apparently not include CBS, Paramount Global's cable networks like BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and MTV, or the streaming business unit that includes Paramount+ and Pluto TV.
Apollo's reported offer for Paramount's studio operations is greater than the market capitalization of Paramount Global in its entirety ($7.3 billion as of March 19). The proposed transaction may include some assumption of Paramount Global's long-term debt (which stood at $14.6 billion at the end of 2023).

- WEAKEST LINK (May 20) Hosted by Emmy Award winner Jane Lynch, the iconic British import and international game show phenomenon returns with a new batch of episodes, including a special veteran-themed show saluting the troops. In each episode of the lightning-fast quick-witted series, eight contestants enter the studio as total strangers but must work together to bank the maximum amount of prize money available in each round. The contestants take turns answering general knowledge questions to build chains of correct answers. Consecutive correct answers greatly increase the value of the chain while incorrect answers break the chain and force the contestants to start over from the bottom of the money ladder. The top prize increases with each round but contestants must first vote to eliminate the fellow competitor they consider to be the "Weakest Link" in the chain. The contestant who receives the highest number of votes leaves the game as the host declares the iconic phrase, "You are the Weakest Link. Goodbye."
- AMERICA'S GOT TALENT (May 28) The 19th season of "America's Got Talent" returns with a new set of aspiring performers looking to compete for the ultimate $1 million prize. Executive producer Simon Cowell returns to the star-studded judging panel with global fashion icon Heidi Klum, fan-favorite comedian Howie Mandel and acclaimed actress and international superstar Sofia Vergara. The dynamic Terry Crews returns as host. This season promises to deliver some of the wildest acts to ever grace the "AGT" stage. "America's Got Talent" will kick off the live shows at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium beginning Tuesday, Aug. 13 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT) on NBC. Results shows will air Wednesday nights (8-9 p.m. ET/PT).
- PASSWORD (ongoing) New episodes of the iconic game show "Password" will continue throughout the summer with Emmy Award-winning host Keke Palmer and Jimmy Fallon. The hour-long episodes will include two back-to-back games with recurring player Fallon paired with a contestant competing against a celebrity guest/contestant duo for cash prizes by guessing a secret password using only one-word clues. Celebrity guests include Lauren Graham, Howie Mandel, Wiz Khalifa, Johnny Knoxville, Joel McHale, Meghan Trainor, Lindsey Vonn and Roy Wood Jr. Palmer, who made Emmy history this year by becoming the first Black woman to win for Outstanding Host for a Game Show, commands the podium while contestants from all walks of life partner with Fallon and other celebrities to face off in the ultimate game of words.
- AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR (June 3): Season 16 of "American Ninja Warrior" returns with the most elite athletes in the country competing on the world's most difficult obstacle courses. Hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, along with co-host Zuri Hall, are back to call the action as the ninjas make their way through the qualifying and semifinal rounds in Los Angeles before moving to the national finals in Las Vegas. Continuing with the major changes from last season, the semis will challenge the ninjas to race side-by-side and head-to-head across a high-stakes course with a spot in the national finals on the line. All four stages in Vegas return, including the Stage 4 rope climb for $1 Million.
- THE WALL (July 1) Hosted by Emmy Award winner Chris Hardwick, "The Wall" is an action-packed game with more than $12 million on the line each night and up to $3 million on a single heart-stopping drop, as teammates work together to answer questions to build a huge cash prize. The rules are simple: Get a question correct and a green ball will fall down the four-story wall and add the value of the slot to the players' winning total. Miss a question and an ominous red ball will fall and deduct the value from the team's total. Contestants compete in pairs and must blindly trust their loved ones to make the right decisions during the game to accumulate their earnings. "The Wall" continues to change lives through its cash prizes, giving away over $25 million to date. In the new episodes debuting this summer, the remarkable people competing for a lifechanging prize include a heroic baseball coach who saved the life of his player by donating his kidney and a community hero who was exonerated from a wrongfully convicted crime and now runs a nonprofit helping those impacted by incarceration.
Meanwhile, "Hot Wheels Ultimate Challenge" has been canceled.

Message: The Circle is finally returning with an all-new season after more than a year. Send!
Netflix announced on Tuesday that season 6 of the social media reality competition series will return next month — and this time, every player entering the Circle is single and #readytomingle.
That's right, this means more flirting than ever between the people sitting alone in their empty apartments, sending spicy emojis and questionable hashtags via DM to someone who is most likely to be a catfish.
The new season also promises more drama and surprises as a new set of contestants compete in challenges to earn the ultimate cash prize as top influencer.
The first four episodes of The Circle season 6 premiere April 17 on Netflix, with new episodes rolling out every Wednesday after that leading up to the finale on May 8.
