The Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.
Alex Trebek's wife is paying tribute to her late husband on the third anniversary of his death.
In a poignant letter published in PEOPLE, Jean Currivan Trebek, 60, reflected on her favorite moments from their 30-year marriage and thanked the longtime Jeopardy host for "being my hero." The beloved quiz show host died at 80 in 2020, more than a year after he revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer.
"Alex, Every day (actually, several times a day) I think about you and recognize how you continue to inspire me," Jean began. "Regularly, you would say to me, 'I see you.' I hope you know, that I saw you too."
She observed how Alex both "talked and listened" to those around him. "You were so present and curious about what people were doing and going through in their lives," she wrote. "I loved that you took an interest in their backgrounds and their circumstances. I saw how you were comfortable in talking to anyone... from a famed politician to our wonderful gardener."
Jean, who recently helped to launch the Alex Trebek Fund with Stand Up to Cancer, noted that she was "blessed to have had a husband whose words carried his truth and integrity" and commended his desire to help those in need.
"I remember you being upset about a situation, so you got involved," she recalled. "I was proud that you were actually, 'love in action' and that this proactive quality always benefited someone."
Although the Daytime Emmy award-winning icon accomplished so much in his lifetime, Jean explained that her favorite moments with him were the quiet ones, like "when we would drive up to our home in Paso Robles and watch the Lakers game together" or "when I came home and you had prepared a really elegant salmon dish with asparagus (perfectly done) along with chocolate mousse."
Jean has now come to realize how "important it is to think for myself," a skill that Alex also perfectly demonstrated during their marriage. "In a world with so much noise, somehow you were able to listen to what was right and true for you," she expressed. "I have come to value this within myself, now more than ever, and I have you to thank for being an intrepid and superb example."
She concluded, "Thank you for teaching me backgammon. Thank you for all the love notes. Thank you for being my hero. You are forever in my heart."

The nightmare......turned into a dream. That's because.............
Moody's Investor Service is now forecasting that the total cost of the SAG-AFTRA, Writers Guild of America and Directors Guild of America contracts will be closer to the higher end of its initial estimate of $450 million to $600 million per year for three years. "
Still, absorbing that cost, spread over a large number of projects will not pose a credit risk for the studios in isolation. Especially considering global yearly spending on TV and film entertainment is over $100 billion, with the US a big chunk of that," Moody's Investor Service senior vice president Neil Begley wrote in a new report Friday.
The SAG-AFTRA national board approved its new contract with the major studios with an 86% approval vote, sending it to membership for ratification.
The official approval was announced by the guild at a press conference Friday afternoon, which finally got started at around 3:20 p.m. after an 80-minute delay.
SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher, national executive director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland and members of the union's contract negotiating committee were present at union headquarters to announce the terms. The full details of the contract will be distributed on Monday.
"This victory is everyone's victory," said Crabtree-Ireland at the start of the conference.
The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which bargains on behalf of the studios, said it, too, was "pleased" by the board vote.
"We are also grateful that the entire industry has enthusiastically returned to work," the AMPTP said.
The ratification process will get underway next week, and will include member meetings to go over the terms of the deal. The ratification vote will conclude on Dec. 5.
The SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical Negotiating Committee today sent the below message to its membership:
We are thrilled and proud to tell you that today your TV/Theatrical Negotiating Committee voted unanimously to approve a tentative agreement with the AMPTP. As of 12:01am PT on Nov. 9, our strike is officially suspended and all picket locations are closed. We will be in touch in the coming days with information about celebration gatherings around the country.
In a contract valued at over one billion dollars, we have achieved a deal of extraordinary scope that includes "above-pattern" minimum compensation increases, unprecedented provisions for consent and compensation that will protect members from the threat of AI, and for the first time establishes a streaming participation bonus. Our Pension & Health caps have been substantially raised, which will bring much needed value to our plans. In addition, the deal includes numerous improvements for multiple categories including outsize compensation increases for background performers, and critical contract provisions protecting diverse communities.
We have arrived at a contract that will enable SAG-AFTRA members from every category to build sustainable careers. Many thousands of performers now and into the future will benefit from this work.
Full details of the agreement will not be provided until the tentative agreement is reviewed by the SAG-AFTRA National Board.
We also thank our union siblings - the workers that power this industry - for the sacrifices they have made while supporting our strike and that of the Writers Guild of America. We stand together in solidarity and will be there for you when you need us.
Thank you all for your dedication, your commitment and your solidarity throughout this strike. It is because of YOU that these improvements became possible.
In solidarity and gratitude,
Your TV/Theatrical Negotiating Committee
Coming just less than a month after Writers Guild members overwhelmingly ratified their own agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, SAG-AFTRA's deal is the culmination of the latest round of renewed negotiations that began October 24. Indicating the seriousness and stakes of the negotiations, Netflix's Ted Sarandos, Disney's Bob Iger, NBCUniversal's Donna Langley and Warner Bros Discovery's David Zaslav frequently directly participated in the talks.
The tentative agreement follows the studios responding on November 3 to the guild's last comprehensive counter with a self-described "historic" package. That was succeeded less than 24 hours later by an expanded group of studio leaders — including execs from Paramount, Amazon, Apple and more — joining the Gang of Four to brief SAG-AFTRA on the AMPTP's new offer, which was said to include big gains in wages and bonuses as well as sweeping AI protections.
"We didn't just come toward you, we came all the way to you," Sarandos told guild leaders Saturday before SAG-AFTRA brass began digging into the fine print. Further talks between the two sides began earlier this week as the guild poured over the studios' latest set of proposals.
Now, if all goes as planned and the board signs off on the deal, eligible members of the 160,000-strong actors guild will vote soon to ratify the new agreement. Also, with SAG-AFTRA pulling the plug on the strike just after midnight and before the ratification vote is completed, people could be back to work soon and production restarted quickly.

TF1 Group-owned Newen Connect in France has acquired the international format rights to classic UK panel gameshow Through the Keyhole.
The distribution company now plan to relaunch the show with broadcasters and streamers around the world.
Managed by the estate of original presenter Sir David Frost and created by Kevin Sim and Lloyd Grossman CBE, the show investigates the glamorous homes of the rich and famous. A panel of celebrities attempt to guess the identity of the owner from a series of visual clues, prompted by the line: "Who lives in a house like this?"
Through the Keyhole was originally produced by Yorkshire Television and debuted on ITV in 1987. In total there have been 24 seasons of the show on various UK channels, including a rebooted version fronted by comedian Leigh Francis, in character as Keith Lemon.
In 2015, the Dutch channel SBS6 aired a local version of the format, called Met de deur in huis, with a second season airing the following year.
Andrew Sime, head of format sales, Newen Connect, said: "Given the current trend for bringing back established and trusted formats, we think the time is right to re-introduce Through the Keyhole for an international audience.
"Newen Connect is thrilled that we can continue to build on the legacy of one of the best-known shows on British television."
