Roman Kemp better update his LinkedIn as The One Show has made him a permanent host.

The 30-year-old has already proved he’s got the chops for the job as a regular on the BBC show, and his efforts have been recognised with the position.

Alex Jones, 46, will remain as the consistent host on every episode of the weekday show, whilst Roman and Jermaine Jenas, 40, will job share.

Sharing his joy at the job, Roman said: ‘I’m very excited to become a permanent presenter on The One Show – I have had so much fun filming with the team already over the past year on the sofa.

‘It’s a dream come true to be on primetime BBC One, bringing the best topical news and entertainment to the nation.’

Meanwhile, Ronan Keating will be doing fewer shows. The 46-year-old explained why he’d be stepping back in a statement: ‘I’ll be doing less shows this year due to my performing and recording schedule but I’m still very much part of the family and wish Roman the best of luck.’

Banijay, the superindie behind such global entertainment formats as Big Brother and MasterChef, on Wednesday unveiled that it was setting up a creative fund to develop television formats focused on, and using, artificial intelligence.

The fund will give producers and labels from across Banijay's global footprint — the company controls more than 130 production companies across 21 territories worldwide — backing to developing new formats that use or explore "the endless possibilities" of artificial intelligence.

"The age of AI is upon us, and as it begins to shape our world, there is an increasing demand for people to create fresh, forward-thinking formats in the technology space," Banijay said in a statement.

The push comes amid the dual actors and writers strike in the U.S., where the use of generative AI is at the heart of disputes between the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which represents the major studios and streamers.

The impact of Banijay's AI shift could be immense. The France-based company is the largest independent producer in the world. Just last year, it launched more than 200 nonscripted shows and more than 90 pilots..

And now we go to someone with the following qualifications to make sure they're all good and ready to go:

New episodes of Love Is Blind are on their way.

On Tuesday, Netflix announced a premiere date for both Season 5 of Love Is Blind and Love Is Blind: After the Altar. Before we meet the new contestants looking for love, we'll get to check up on the Season 4 couples who we last saw during the live (well, sort of) reunion special in April.

After the Altar will debut on September 1, consisting of three 40-minute episodes. That will be followed by Love Is Blind Season 5 on September 22, when new singles from Houston will enter the pods with the hope of finding love.

Episodes will debut on Fridays through October 13. Here's how they'll be broken down:
- Week 1, September 22: Episodes 1-4
- Week 2, September 29: Episodes 5-7
- Week 3, October 6: Episodes 8-9
- Week 4, October 13: Episode 10 (weddings)

In addition, Netflix also released a teaser for the new season of After the Altar. As the married couples raise a toast to their one-year anniversaries and the singles reflect on the past year, a plan is hatched to reunite the Pod Squad for a flag football celebration.

Paramount-owned channel Comedy Central in the UK has greenlit a gameshow fronted by comedian Rosie Jones and launched a training scheme to coincide with the series' production.

Produced by Rumpus Media, Out of Order (12×60') is a comedy game in which two teams of comedians compete in front of a studio audience. The teams must place members of the public in the correct order in a series of revealing categories, such as: 'Who earns the most?' and 'Who's had the most one-night stands?'

Out of Order will begin filming in autumn, before premiering on Comedy Central internationally next year.

Exec producing are Paramount senior director of development for MTV and Comedy Central Iestyn Barker, Rumpus Media joint MD Iain Wimbush, and Jordan Read. Comedy Central development producer Emerald Paston developed the series.

Comedy Central and Rumpus Media have also partnered to run a training scheme as part of the show's production. The scheme is open to anyone over the age of 18 in the UK, with people from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds particularly encouraged to apply.

Wimbush said: "The trainee scheme announced today with Rosie and Comedy Central welcomes those from different backgrounds and abilities, in the hope this will introduce new people to an industry they have traditionally been locked out of."
