Audiences will follow along as Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, Andrew He, Sam Buttrey and James Holzhauer go head-to-head for the grand prize of $500,000 and the title of "Jeopardy! Masters" Champion.
"Jeopardy! Masters" is executive produced by Michael Davies.
The following episodes are scheduled to air the weeks of May 8, May 15 and May 22:

On May 8, the first episode of the new Jeopardy! Masters special series will air, starting a new 10-episode tournament featuring six of the best players in the show's history competing for $500,000 and a "Trebek Trophy." The six contestants—Amy Schneider, Andrew He, James Holzauer, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, and Sam Buttrey—will play by most of the same basic rules the show has had for years.
However, avid viewers will notice one thing's different, as this time around the show will briefly reveal, only to the audience, where the Daily Double answers are on the big board.
"This is something we're trying out with Masters," former Jeopardy! champion and current host Ken Jennings told WISN Channel 12 Milwaukee News. "We noticed it's very fun in the studio that we know where the Daily Doubles are because we can see the contestants get close; sometimes they veer away at the wrong time. It's a little bit like a big game of Battleship."
In the latest TV show ratings, ABC's Jeopardy! Masters premiere led Monday in the demo, while CBS' NCIS copped the night's largest audience.
Jeopardy! Masters debuted to 5.6 million total viewers and a 0.6 rating, besting any Monday American Idol audience this season and matching the singing show in the demo.

Changes are coming to eight CW stations that are owned by CBS.
Employees at the stations were told this morning that, beginning in September, the stations will drop their affiliation with The CW and go independent. When the change goes into effect, Paramount will own 14 CBS-branded stations and 13 independent stations.
According to Wendy McMahon, president and co-head of CBS News and Stations, the company will program the stations with content from elsewhere in the Paramount portfolio, and will also strategically pursue sports deals, similar to the deal Scripps made this week to air Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey games, or Gray TV's deal with the Phoenix Suns.
"We look forward to reimagining these stations as independents while leveraging the considerable value of their prime-time real estate in each of the markets," McMahon said in a statement. "It's an exciting time to look at new opportunities to add local programming, including live sports, and shows from across the Paramount Global brands. We are also grateful to have been part of The CW for 17 memorable years and wish our partners at Nexstar continued success."
As McMahon noted, The CW is now owned by the local TV giant Nexstar, with Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery each retaining a small, 12.5 percent stake (though Nexstar has an option to buy out their stakes next year). Nexstar is pursuing a different strategy of lower-cost originals, while leaning into its own ownership of local CW stations.
Among other programming, Nexstar cut a deal with LIV Golf for its CW stations, though the CBS-owned stations opted not to carry the matches, likely owing to the company's close relationship with the PGA Tour.
The eight CW stations that are going independent are: WPSG Philadelphia (DMA #4), WUPA Atlanta (DMA #6), KBCW San Francisco (DMA #10), KSTW Seattle (DMA #12), WTOG Tampa-St. Petersburg (DMA #13), WKBD Detroit (DMA #14), KMAX Sacramento (DMA #20) and WPCW Pittsburgh (DMA #26).
However, that's not the only thing going on. What's going on right now is this......
Day 4 of the WGA strike began with a plot twist on the weather front. A typically overcast May morning in Southern California gave way around 8 a.m. to a heavy downpour that rolled quickly across the region. The rain was gone in West L.A. and Culver City by 9:30 a.m., but the drops fell fast and hard enough to disrupt some of the best-laid plans of dedicated strike captains.
Still, on a soggy Friday morning in the Heart of Screenland, about 200 pickets were circulating around Culver City's institutions: Sony Pictures Entertainment, the hallowed ground of MGM in its prime, and the Culver Studios, now home to Amazon Studios, Prime Video and MGM in its present.
"Jeopardy" writers Michele Loud, Jim Rhine and Billy Wisse walked on Madison Avenue near Washington Boulevard, in front of the studio gates where they three have all worked for more than two decades. Their jobs have been unusually consistent on a Monday-Friday strip that has transcended from TV quiz show to become a bona fide national institution.
"Our words are on the screen every night," Loud told Variety. "There is no 'Jeopardy' without writers. Without us it's just an empty blue screen."
Wisse's view is that the strike is part of a larger fight for the matter of being "fairly compensated for the labor you give," he said.
The trio were quick to emphasize their good fortune to be employed for so long by a stable, year-round show. But they see the bigger threat posed by the structural changes afoot in the television business.
"They're asking some people to work day-to-day," Rhine said, noting that he's heard chapter and verse in recent days from fellow WGA members about mini room experiences. "They never tried to make it a gig economy before," Wisse said. "There was always some sense that writers were partners in it."
SAG-AFTRA, PGA, AFL-CIO, DGA, Teamsters, the WGA's paralogs in Canada, the UK & Australia, and The International Cinematographers Guild, IATSE Local 600, expressed support for the strike: "Local 600's core principles include that all workers have the right to be compensated fairly, provided with sustainable benefits, and ensured of safe working conditions. We strongly support the WGA in their fight for a fair contract."
Here's what the AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler, who leads the country's largest federation of unions, said Tuesday: "The 12.5 million members of the AFL-CIO stand in strong solidarity with members of the WGAE and the WGAW who went on strike this morning to fight for a fair contract that recognizes the tremendous value these writers bring to the entertainment industry. Writers are the lifeblood of film, television and other entertainment, and they deserve a fair contract that ensures these vital jobs pay family-supporting wages and include decent benefits like health care and retirement. Producers make billions in profits off the words that bring the magic of film and television to life for audiences in the United States and around the world. It's deeply disappointing that Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) isn't bargaining in good faith to deliver a fair contract. We call on the producers to immediately reach an agreement with the WGAE and the WGAW that respects the vital work the writers do to entertain millions of people every single day."
Developments...
- The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers struck back today, providing answers to the WGA's talking points about the failed negotiations that led to the ongoing writers strike, which is now in its third day. "As we have said all along, our companies are committed to finding workable solutions to our ever-changing business for the mutual benefit of those who contribute to its success," the AMPTP said in outlining its positions. The group representing Hollywood's studios says that its offer amounts to more than double the annual pay raises that the WGA claims was offered and that the guild's demand for mandatory staffing amounts to "a hiring quota that is incompatible with the creative nature of our industry."
- CBS has put on hold plans to announce its fall 2023 schedule at a reveal event in Los Angeles on May 9. The network will still share its schedule next week, but instead likely by traditional press release. The party, which was to take place at NeueHouse Hollywood (next door to CBS' new Hollywood headquarters), was to have served as a replacement for the traditional upfronts event that CBS always held in New York at Carnegie Hall during upfronts week. (Paramount Global, which took over the CBS Wednesday slot during upfronts last year, earlier opted not to continue the upfronts week presentation this year. Filling that Wednesday time slot this year on May 15 will be Netflix, in its inaugural upfronts appearance.)
- The Australian and Canadian film and TV unions have joined the UK's writers' guild in telling their writers to down tools on U.S. shows during the strike. International sources have pointed to the possibility of the Hollywood studios looking to Australian, Canadian and UK writers to pick up U.S. work during the industrial action, but each guild has strongly advised its members against that course of action.
- Our friends at Deadline report that the writers strike is now impacting overall deals. Just days into the work stoppage, major TV studios have started sending out letters to writer/producers under overall and first-look agreements, telling them that their deals are being suspended. Furthermore, Netflix has been added to the list of major TV studios putting deals on hold pending resolution.
But there's also more..........
Jamie Foxx is speaking out for the first time since his daughter Corinne Foxx released a statement last month that the actor was hospitalized due to an undisclosed "medical complication."
"Appreciate all the love," Foxx posted on his verified Instagram feed on Wednesday, adding that he is "feeling blessed."
Celebrities such as DJ Khaled, AJ McClean and Ludacris all responded with messages of support for Foxx.
The "Ray" actor's message follows an announcement from FOX network, also shared on Wednesday, that Nick Cannon will be filling in as guest host on "Beat Shazam," a music-related game show that Foxx hosts with his daughter Corinne. The network also announced that Kelly Osbourne will be filling in as guest DJ on the show.
"Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery, and we greatly appreciate Nick's willingness to jump in and help this summer," the statement read.
Foxx had been in Atlanta filming the Netflix movie "Back in Action" with Cameron Diaz when he experienced the medical emergency resulting in his hospitalization. A source previously told CNN that the incident did not happen on set, and indicated that filming was expected to wrap in April.
Even friend Kevin Hart admitted he doesn't know the "exact details" of the situation, as he said during an appearance on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast. While he has been "able to just check on him and stuff like that," Hart shared that Foxx's family is "being tight and for reasons just about where he is, because Jamie's always been a private person to a certain degree."
"The dope thing is that he's getting better in his situation, and you know, everybody's prayers, everybody's love, energy—all that stuff is seen and felt," the comedian continued. "So in this case, man, you just want the guy to get out of the situations and then get back home."
Hart claimed "there's a lot of progression and a world of better" for Foxx, adding, "So you know, my love, synergy, energy goes out to him. He's needed, he's necessary. I know that he knows that, and I know that he feels that because there's been an outcry, an outpour of support in this regard. So, I can only hope that it continues."

Netflix is set to give its hit reality series "Love Is Blind" a German-language adaptation. The format makeover, currently in production, will bring together singletons in Germany, Austria and Swiss who have signed up for a less conventional approach to modern dating. Netflix is rolling off the success of "Too Hot To Handle: Germany."
As part of the format, 30 singles begin this 10-episode show by talking to potential partners without being distracted by the other person's appearance. They then propose to their chosen partner and only then see their fiancé for the first time. Back in the real world, couples will try to complement their emotional bond with a physical one as they plan their wedding day together.
Netflix is once again working with its German production partner Redseven Entertainment and both companies are currently casting for the series.
The original U.S. version of the show, produced by Kinetic Content, premiered on Netflix in 2020 and has become a global hit. The fourth season released in April 2023 and the format has also been adapted outside the US in Brazil, Japan and is currently in the works in Sweden and the UK. The show was originally created and executive produced by Chris Coelen, whose credits include "Perfect Match" and "Spy Games."
