I heard a rumor..............
That Survivor might expand to 90 minutes.
Survivor is looking to become bigger than ever for its 45th season as the show is set to increase its episode length.
While not 100% confirmed, several Inside Survivor sources have claimed Survivor 45 will be expanding to 90-minute episodes. This is for more than just the premiere; each episode is said to be 90 minutes, with the usual 3-hour season finale.
Survivor has aired as a 60 minute show (with commercials) since its inception in 2000, but an episode length increase has been in the works for quite some time. Host and executive producer Jeff Probst has made it no secret that he prefers the 90 minute episode structure.
“I actually think 90 minutes is a great length for a Survivor episode,” Probst told Entertainment Weekly last year. “It means basically 63 minutes of total running time, and that’s similar to what you would find on a streaming service.”
Survivor has experimented with longer episodes in recent years, with Survivor 43‘s second episode receiving a 90 minute runtime, which our sources say was somewhat of a test. Probst said that the show’s strong relationship with CBS allows them to make such changes.
“Fortunately, we have an incredibly tight relationship with CBS, and that allows us to talk candidly about stuff like this and do what is best for the show.”
Crime drama FBI currently airs in the 9 pm to 10 pm slot following Survivor. Last fall, The Amazing Race aired immediately after Survivor in a reality TV bloc along with The Real Love Boat. The latter received low ratings and was moved to Paramount+ after just four episodes; this could be the reason for opening up more space for Survivor.

Why did Kaya Stewart leave American Idol?
As viewers saw when Stewart went up on stage, all of us, including the judges, thought she was going to perform with her partner. But didn’t. The once Idol hopeful shared she’s been feeling sick during the start of Hollywood Week and tried to “push” herself to “keep going.” And though she wanted to continue, she felt like she wasn’t “able to give 100%.” And so, now there’s one less contestant moving on.
The decision not to perform and drop out of the competition of course also affected her singing partner, Wilmore. She told judges that it was “really stressful” having to learn a different arrangement at the last moment. But she knocks it out of the park and Jayna Elise volunteered to sing with her. Thankfully, the judges see her talent as well and she’s one of the contestants moving on in the competition!
Did Sara Beth quit American Idol? (Why did Sarah Beth leave American Idol?)
As we mentioned before, Stewart is actually the second contestant to exit this season. Just the night before Stewart announced she was leaving on the Monday episode, Sara Beth Liebe made the same announcement on the Sunday, April 2, 2023 installment.
The 25-year-old took performed “Roxanne” by The Police, and when she was finished she made her announcement to the judges.
This opportunity is really rad, but this is actually going to be my last performance because my heart’s at home. So I’m gonna get home to my babies. They kind of need me.
Though the judges repeatedly tried to get her to stay in the competition, partly because she said she didn’t feel confident she was going to win, Liebe left and is no longer a contestant. Recently, the former aspiring singer gained attention after calling out Katy Perry.
During her audition, the judges were surprised to learn that she had three kids and was 25 years old, as they thought she was even younger. In jest, Perry acted like she was going to fall on the judge’s table. When Liebe saw this, she joked “If Katy lays on the table, I think I’m gonna pass out.” The judge responded with “honey, you’ve been laying on the table too much.”
After that, Liebe shared on TikTok that she didn’t think Perry’s words were kind and felt like she was being mom shamed. Though she didn’t say this was the reason for her exit, it may have played a role in her decision.
It's about damn time… for Lizzo to extend a first-look deal she has with Amazon Studios.
The Grammy and Emmy winner will continue to develop programming for the tech giant's studio arm under the deal, which she first signed in August 2020. The extension comes after Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls won three Emmys in 2022, including outstanding competition program — becoming the first streaming series to earn a victory in that category. The show's second season is currently casting.
"I'm thrilled to continue this partnership with the Amazon team after an incredible experience on season one of Watch Out for the Big Grrrls," said Lizzo in a statement. "I've witnessed lives change through this show and I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue making space for even more Big Grrrls around the world to shine and break down barriers across this industry."
Added Vernon Sanders, head of television for Amazon and MGM Studios, "Lizzo is one of the most exciting, creative, joyful artists in the industry, and the impact of her Emmy award-winning series Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls exceeded our every expectation. MGM Alternative is taking variety-meets-gameshow format Watch! into the U.S.
The agreement with Canada's Media Ranch is one of the first the division has struck since Amazon-owned MGM restructured its programs team under Amazon Studios boss Jennifer Salke.
The format sees two teams competing by answering questions based on live onstage performances.
It first debuted on German network ProSieben in July 2020, where it was hosted by Germany's Got Talent and The Masked Singer Germany's Ruth Moschner and known as Wer Sight Das Den?!.

We lost one of our favorites from the UK. In a time when RuPaul was shocking the world with "Supermodel," Paul O Grady was held his own as.....Lily Savage. But more than that, Paul had it all. From his own talk show on Channel 4 to his own weekly BBC Radio 2 show, he provided humor and class to anybody in the country. Taking over from Les Dawson, he took on his Lily persona for the iconic UK program "Blankety Blank." This clip proves he has what the character can bring in the Game Show Live!......
