Bradley stars in the main role of Pop Larkin in the ITV show The Larkins, which has now been axed by ITV. The drama will not be returning for a third series.
The spin-off series from Darling Buds of May was given the boot after failing to draw in the ratings and will result in Bradley appearing on our screens less frequently than many viewers have come to expect. The decision has been made to axe the series among rumours of tension on set.
t has also been reported that viewer ratings have struggled since Sabrina left the programme. A source told The Mirror: "The ratings for series two were disappointingly low and cast disagreements on set have been an ongoing problem for the production team."
"Sabrina’s issue with Tok and her decision to leave was a massive problem for the bosses. But there have also been other disagreements." The second series saw a significant drop in viewership, attracting only 2.9 million compared to the 4.8 million from the previous year, totalling a loss of two million viewers.
Bradley Walsh will still be hosting the ITV gameshows The Chase and Blankety Blank and currently his show Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad is airing on ITV1. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
Jeopardy! fans should get used to seeing current champ Mira Hayward on their screens, as she won her second game in a row on Friday (February 10). But this isn’t her first TV rodeo, or roadshow, to be more precise.
Hayward, a writer and the daughter of Oregon state Sen. Elizabeth Steiner, previously appeared on Antiques Roadshow on PBS back in 2004. Viewers might remember her as the “shoe girl,” as she brought on her grandmother’s shoe to be appraised by the antique experts.
The reigning champ revealed her classic TV past while chatting with host Ken Jennings last week. And, in case anyone didn’t believe her, the official Antiques Roadshow Twitter account shared a few photos of her on the show as a young girl. “We remember you fondly too!” the caption read.
Hayward retweeted the post and replied, “I LOVE YOU (although my family has never stopped roasting me for “thank. you. for. telling. me. about. the. shoe!”).
Simeon Lipman, the expert who appraised Hayward’s item, also tweeted, writing, “This is one of my favorite appraisals, so glad to see your doing well!”
“Thank you so much Simeon!” Hayward replied. “You made it such a special experience for my family and me.”
Lipman expanded on his thoughts on Instagram, sharing, “Back in 2004, Mira Hayward brought her Grandmother’s shoe (which had been signed by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in 1927) to @roadshowpbs. I was fortunate enough to appraise it, and was very impressed with her intelligence and poise… tonight, nearly 20 years later, she was a contestant on @jeopardy and mentioned her appearance on Roadshow during her interview!”
When asked what he would do if he weren't a chef, Wolfgang Puck confessed to Vogue that he would love to be an artist. Culinary superstar, Gordon Ramsay, told The Guardian that football — the version Americans call soccer — was his dream job and that he was devastated when an injury permanently sidelined him. In a Quora session with Ramsay, he was asked what he'd be if he weren't a chef. It turns out that he'd seriously consider becoming a Navy SEAL as he shares their athleticism and discipline. Rachael Ray told her television show audience that her dream gig would be playing the drums for the Foo Fighters or working as a photographer. Alex Guarnaschelli was asked what career she would have tried if she didn't work in food. She quickly replied that she would have become a marine biologist specializing in the hunt for the giant squid, per Food Network. She must really like squid.
When Larry King asked Brown if you would have to be brilliant to host the academia-based program, Brown replied, "Dude, you read a card." He did admit, however, that you need to be able to pronounce seemingly unpronounceable words, and if you screw up, "everyone knows you're a moron." Would Brown trip over "asterisk" or "antidisestablishmentarianism"? Perhaps, no one will ever know.
After Trebek died, many guest hosts took turns at the show's helm, including Katie Couric, Dr. Oz, LeVar Burton, George Stephanopoulos, and more (via USA Today). With Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings now permanently sharing the honor, it seems that Brown has missed his chance. It's perfectly okay, though. With Brown's success in the culinary world, a stint on "Jeopardy!" would be a complete floccinaucinihilipilification. Now there's a word for tongues to trip over.

Mayim Bialik will return to the Jeopardy! lectern on Feb. 20. TV Insider reports that the actress will take over hosting duties from Ken Jennings, who has been helming the game show since Season 39 launched in September 2022. Jennings will be taking some time off from the program; no word yet on when he will return.
Meanwhile, Bialik is coming back to a tournament. From Feb. 20 through March 9, a 14-episode High School Reunion Tournament will take place. Viewers will get to watch 27 ex-Teen Tournament contestants duke it out for a $100,000 prize and a place in the 2023 Tournament of Champions. She'll continue hosting the regular game show after that.
Chicago Fire, and the One Chicago franchise in general, has one of the richest ensemble casts in TV. It’s been home to dozens and dozens of talented performers, whether they appear for a lone episode or have been part of the franchise for a decade.
Jeff Hephner is one such example. The actor who played Jeff Clarke for several seasons has now joined the cast of the upcoming Netflix series Eric. Hephner will appear alongside Oscar nominee and Marvel superstar Benedict Cumberbatch, as well as Gaby Hoffman, McKinley Belcher III, Dan Fogler and Phoebe Nicholls.
Deadline reports that Eric will be about Vincent Anderson (Cumberbatch), a puppeteer on a kids show who succumbs to depression when his son goes missing, and who finds solace with the monster under his son’s bed. The monster’s name? Eric, of course.
It sounds like an ambitious show, blending drama, fantasy, and black comedy, and the cast is more than capable of delivering the goods. As Hephner has shown in the past, he’s more than capable of encapsulating a wide range of emotions.
Fox News, CNN, Sky, BBC, CBC, NPR, MSNBC, CBS, Buzzfeed, Rifinery29 and local TV newscasts should all take cover and I mean take cover. Something new is coming.......
