Dish Network and the Game Show Network said Tuesday that they have reached a multi-year deal on a new carriage agreement, restoring the channel to the satellite service after it went dark in early September after talks had broken down.
The deal is for both Dish TV and Sling TV services, Dish said. No details were provided.
"We're pleased to have reached a multi-year agreement that benefits all parties, especially our customers," said Brian Neylon, EVP and Group President, Dish TV. "I want to thank our customers for their patience and understanding as we worked through the negotiations."
Negotiations had been underway for eight months before Game Show Network went dark on Dish on September 6, meaning Dish and Sling customers have been without Game Show Network programming like Family Feud, People Puzzler and more.
"We are happy to have entered into a long-term agreement with Dish and that Dish customers can resume watching their favorite shows on Game Show Network for years to come," said Tim Carry, EVP Distribution for Game Show Network.

Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment has struck a deal worth $125M for the securitization of the Got Talent franchise. The agreement, billed by advisor ACF as "the first of its kind" and "groundbreaking," securitizes the intellectual property behind Got Talent, including the U.S., UK and international versions of the format, which is in 72 territories worldwide.
In effect, production margins and fees, digital income, franchise and original content sales and sponsorship income have been pooled as securities.
This type of deal structure is more commonly commonly applied in the music industry, for royalty income streams. In general, it's used to raise capital through equity, debt or a mixture of both.
As such, ACF says the deal, which took two years to complete, hands Syco a war chest to "grow the business through a mixture of strategic acquisitions and organic growth projects."

Jackie Carter will begin.
Please tell me, since we've started a new season, that Idiotest will still be on late-night weekends. Please!!
I'm guessing it might be since they've already had Chain Reaction revived for the 3rd time. Come on Lingo!
We go next to Justin Thorp.
Back in the late 2000s, television’s Game Show Network ran a live overnight call-in program where home viewers would ring through and play a quick bit of trivia or word puzzle for a little dough. While I hassled the channel’s president and got a chance to audition as a possible host, it was ultimately decided the idea of people calling a 1-900 number at midnight and getting me was too much.
Welp, that was Playmania before other copycats followed suit and believe it or not, it actually originated in the Uk. Go figure.
Next up, Karen Holroyd
What ever happened to consolation prizes ? In the past, even the losers got a little something ! Love your shows though
They got reduced to save a lot of commercial time and money. Nowadays its either get rich or go home broke. Now we go up to Matt Brock.
