The Masked Singer was supposed to celebrate all things Andrew Lloyd Webber on October 12 — with Webber himself performing and joining the panel (Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke). However, postseason baseball changed those plans.
Due to a weather delay, the Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies NLDS game started late, and by the time it ended, The Masked Singer was pushed. Now, the “Andrew Lloyd Webber Night” episode will air on Wednesday, October 19 in the usual 8/7c time slot, TV Insider has confirmed.

With all the recent Jeopardy! talk regarding format changes and new rules, host Ken Jennings is hoping the show brings back some specific elements from the show’s vintage era.
While hosting a Q&A session with the studio audience ahead of Tuesday’s (October 4) episode, Jennings was asked what he would change about the show. “I mean, the thing about Jeopardy! is that in Season 39, it’s pretty well perfect, you know?” he responded. However, he did reveal a couple of things that he misses.
“You know what I miss is, now entering the studio. I know we don’t have time anymore, but I loved seeing the contestants march in. You know?” he said, referencing how long-time Jeopardy! announcer Johnny Gilbert used to begin the show by saying, “This is Jeopardy! Now entering the studio are today’s contestants.”
The former Jeopardy! champion was also feeling nostalgic about the old-school sound effects. “I also like the beep-boop-boop-boop-boop when they do the board,” he continued. “But those are just things lost to the constraints of time, I think.”
Jennings then turned his attention to the show’s long-time producer (and former contestant), Rocky Schmidt, who was sitting off-camera. “Do you miss the beep-boop-boop, or did you never like it?” Jennings asked. “It’s just… it cost us 5 seconds each round,” Schmidt replied, confirming what Jennings suspected, “Yeah, it’s timing.”
Many fans shared similar sentiments to Jennings, especially after the host took to Twitter and tweeted, “Beep-boop-boop hive rise up.”
And then there were three. HBO Max’s edgy couture competition The Hype drops its second-season finale today, and the trio of designers left in the loft are feeling the heat. Not only do they need to pick the perfect look-book photographs of their fashions so far, but then they also need to sell the judges and co-signers Offset, Bephie Birkett and Marni Senofonte on their brands. Up for grabs is a $150,000 cash prize and an exclusive deal with StockX, as well as a potential buy-in from the co-signers.
You are the Twitchhead of the month for October of 2022. You get an imaginary plaque to hang on the wall, bragging rights and what else, Colbi King?
Michael Strahan is the Broadcaster of the Year for 2022, according to the New York State Broadcasters Association. Strahan, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is a co-anchor on ABC’s Good Morning America. He’s also an analyst on Fox NFL Sunday and hosts $100,000 Pyramid on ABC.
“We are honored to recognize Michael Strahan as our Broadcaster of the Year for 2022,” said David Donovan, president of the NYSBA. “This was a unanimous decision by the board of directors. Strahan is a tour de force in television. You see his award-winning talent every morning when he co-anchors ABC’s Good Morning America. NFL games would not be the same without his insights and analysis. He brings a perspective that can only be provided by a Pro Football Hall of Famer.”
Donovan also mentioned Strahan’s work in the community. “Michael donates his hands and heart to numerous charities,” he said. “Since 2010, he has also been a passionate supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His recent partnership with ‘See Her’ seeks to combat an unconscious bias that persists against women and girls in advertising, media, and programming.”
Television host, actor, and executive producer Mandel will emcee the highly-anticipated event, while Grammer and Cox are slated to perform. They join a star-studded lineup that includes Brass Ring Award recipient Diane Keaton, and musical performer John Legend. The 36th Carousel of Hope Ball is presented by Dexcom and will take place on Saturday, October 8 at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles.
Barbara Davis, who turns 92 the day after The Carousel of Hope gala, commented, “Marvin and I started this event in 1978, and here we are forty-four years later still reaching for the brass ring. That ring represents hope, progress, and an eventual cure for type 1 diabetes. We’ve never wavered, never given up on this pursuit and the October 8 gala will show our determination to succeed as never before with a wonderful honoree and fantastic young talent to support us.”
Fans of Family Feud know that the hit game show can be pretty unpredictable. Contestants might give an answer that is NSFW or one that is just really bad or even one that has host Steve Harvey thinking they are a murderer. Then there are times when contestants respond in a way that offends Steve and or when they realize that their pants are too tight. However, what happened on a recent episode of Celebrity Family Feud is something that's never before occurred - a contestant was tased over their bad answer.
It all went down when the members of Jackass appeared on the game show. Dave England gave an off-color and very improbable response to a question about the worst things that could happen while one is joining the Mile High Club. Not surprisingly, it got his team a strike, but what was surprising was what happened next. Team captain Johnny Knoxville tased England, who dropped to the ground as everyone around gasped and laughed. Steve was in complete shock.
Knoxville apologized to the host, saying, "I'm sorry, Steve, but that was a terrible answer." Dave recovered quickly and all Steve could do was laugh and point out, "He tased his a**."
