Colbi King: From coast to coast and around the world, welcome to....
Now, America's favorite contestant, Pierre Kelly!
Me:Welcome everybody to Game Show Live! where we get lit and get involved. Let's kick it off with......
The Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.
By the power invested in me and by the power of Greyskull as well.......I now pronounce you 2 game show hosts next year. You may now answer in the form a question. That's right..........
It's official: Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings are the permanent hosts of Jeopardy! going forward. The game show's executive producer Michael Davies announced the completion of deals with the The Big Bang Theory star and former Jeopardy! champion to continue to split hosting duties in a note to fans (You can read it in full below).
Touting Jeopardy!'s viewership increase year over year, Davies also confirmed that Bialik will host Celebrity Jeopardy! on ABC this coming season. As for the flagship syndicated game show, Jennings will host the first stretch of episodes of Season 39, which starts tapings next week, through December, with Bialik stepping in starting in January as she juggles her commitment to her Fox comedy series Call Me Kat.
"We have so much Jeopardy! to make, and so many plans for the future, that we always knew we would need multiple hosts for the franchise and we are just so grateful that Mayim and Ken stepped in and stepped up to put the show in a position to succeed," Davies wrote.
During his portion of the season, Jennings will host the inaugural Second Chance competition and the anticipated Tournament of Champions featuring Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, Ryan Long, and more. The current plan is for Bialik to host a couple of new tournaments as well as the Jeopardy! National College Championship and as many weeks as she can manage with her commitment to Call Me Kat.
Bialik, who previously had announced as host of the Jeopardy! primetime and spinoff series, and Jennings had been filling in as guest hosts of the mothership syndicated program following the abrupt exit of Mike Richards as host in August after one day of tapings. The two were subsequently named full-time hosts for the remainder of Season 38. Because of the way the duo's co-hosting arrangement came to be last season with no advance notice, they alternated based on availability, which created some confusion. The process is being streamlined for next season. We know you value consistency, so we will not flip flop the hosts constantly," Davies said.
He also announced a new podcast, Inside Jeopardy!.

Colbi: Some members of our viewing audience will receive......
A double from Freddy's Frozen Custard and steakburgers. When we say double, we mean an original double steakburger all with cheese, onions and pickles to go with that drink and fries. Look for it at a Freddy's near you. Now in a double take, PIerre Kelly!

CARTOON COCKTAIL PARTY!!!!!!
Yes, it's a biweekly shindig in which we go back to a time in which local news wasn't on 2 hours a day, GMA, Today and CBS Mornings didn't have its own Saturday edition and every channel you turn to is filled with educational/informational content. It's all the cartoons you remember way back on daytime TV before you watched game shows, talk shows or everything else. Not the local news you're condemned to every hour until 10am or earlier or a 6th hour of Today. If that happens. It's all done by animator Craig Bostick and Sequential Artists workshop out of Gainesville, Florida which is home to the Florida Gators. So wake up, get your cereal cups from CVS and your coffee from Circle K and come join us biweekly. It'll start next month and you can get your reservations through this:

NBC is leaving the island.
The broadcast network has canceled Million Dollar Island, a big-ticket reality competition series, ahead of production. The series, which was announced in March, was understood to be in the casting phase before it was shelved.
It joins series being shelved such as Turner Networks' The Big D, which was pulled by Warner Bros. Discovery a couple of weeks ahead of its premiere.
It's understood that one of the factors behind the decision was the show's budget.
Million Dollar Island is a Survivor-esque competition format that will see 100 contestants compete over 50 days for the chance to win $1 million.
It follows the news that NBCUniversal unscripted chief Jenny Groom is leaving the broadcaster amid a shake-up in its alternative team that is expected to see former Turner Networks exec Corie Henson replace her.
Based on a Dutch format produced by John De Mol's Talpa, the U.S. version was being produced by The Voice creator's company and Studio Lambert, the British production giant behind series such as The Circle and Undercover Boss. We hear that Studio Lambert and Talpa are currently shopping the series to other broadcasters. The competition would have seen 100 contestants forge friendships and build alliances as they plot to stay on a remote desert island for up to 50 days and compete to win their share of the ultimate $1 million prize. Upon arrival, each contestant was to be given a bracelet worth $10,000. During their time on the island, contestants gain and lose bracelets through various challenges, but when a player leaves the island, they must choose who will receive their portion of the money.

Betty White almost had it when she passed away but..........
The great Norman Lear turns 100 today. He's been creating TV shows and films for more than 70 years and is still going strong. It's a career that, any decade of which, would make most artists proud.
ABC used Norman Lear's 100th birthday today to announce a career-spanning new special about the TV legend for Premiere Week. Norman Lear: 100 Years of Music & Laughter will air Thursday, September 22.
Among his producing credits are such all-time TV classics as All in the Family and The Jeffersons. Lear wrote for Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin, Andy Williams and many more. He was an EP on the features Fried Green Tomatoes and The Princess Bride.
He's won five Emmys — most recently in 2019 — and two Peabodys, was awarded the National Medal of Arts, received a Kennedy Center Honor and and was awarded the Air Medal after flying 52 missions in a B-17 during World War II.
In the game show world, he was a producer and developer for a reboot of "Quiz Kids" for CBS Cable.

A former Coronation Street star has announced he is set to step in as the host of Countdown later this year. Comedian Les Dennis, who starred as Michael Rodwell in the ITV soap between 2014 and 2016 will present the Channel 4 game show this August.
Countdown is currently being presented by radio host Colin Murray who is temporarily filling in for Anne Robinson after she announced she was stepping down from her role earlier this year. The former The Weakest Link host Anne filmed her last episode of Countdown earlier this month having presented the show for one year.
Actor and TV presenter Les Dennis is no stranger to hosting game shows after fronting ITV's Family Fortunes from 1987 until 2002. He then went on to play Michael, one of Gail Platt's many husbands, before he had a heart attack and was left for dead by the evil Pat Phelan.
Les has now revealed he will front Countdown for a stint in August, where he'll watch contestants try to outsmart their rivals by displaying their mathematic ability..

Food Network continues to cook up its relationship with popular host Guy Fieri, who is gearing up to launch his sixth show with the network.
Fieri's next outing is "Guy's Ultimate Game Night," a culinary game show with celebrity guests competing in food-related games and trivia that brings some Hollywood flavor into the TV chef's ever-growing repertoire.
The series — which launches on Aug. 31 at 9 p.m. — will air on both Food Network and Discovery Plus, further establishing Fieri's presence in the new Warner Bros. Discovery era, both on linear and streaming.
"If you put a game show, late night talk show and a food competition show in a blender, you get 'Guy's Ultimate Game Night,'" Fieri said in a statement. "It's the best dinner party you've ever been to — filled with food, booze, off-the-hook games and the funkiest live soundtrack around."
The culinary game show, which was first announced at the company's Upfront, will see Fieri welcome his famous friends to the Flavortown Lounge to play classic party games, word puzzles and trivia with a culinary twist. Some games include garnishing a pizza to resemble Fieri, blindly decorating a cake and "Cooktionary," a take on Pictionary but with food.
The celebrity contestants will compete in front of a live studio audience for the chance to win prizes for their favorite charity.
Contestants include Vivica A. Fox, Ron Funches, Billy Gardell, Jay Glazer, Carson Kressley, Natasha Leggero, Tara Lipinski, Cheech Marin, Ross Matthews, Maria Menounos, Brett Michaels, Alyssa Milano, Bobby Moynihan, Francia Raisa, Kevin Smith, Johnny Weir, Kym Whitley, Carnie Wilson, Penn and Teller, plus a handful of celebrity chefs and more.
Joining Fieri is chef Antonia Lofaso — a fan-favorite from Bravo's "Top Chef," and shows like "Chopped" and "Cutthroat Kitchen" — who will assist Fieri in the fun-and-games, almost like the Vanna White of Food Network.
"'Guy's Ultimate Game Night' is a culinary game show unlike any other," said Jane Latman, president of home and food content and streaming at Warner Bros. Discovery. "Audiences will love playing along at home, trying to guess the answers and will pick up new food facts too. We get to join the party and enjoy the hilarious games led by the game master himself, Guy Fieri."
"Guy's Ultimate Game Night" is the latest show to join the celebrity chef's portfolio, which presently includes "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," "Guy's Grocery Games," "Tournament of Champions," Guy's Ranch Kitchen" and Guy's All-American Road Trip."
"Guy's Ultimate Game Night" is produced by Knuckle Sandwich and Lando Entertainment. Fieri also serves as executive producer.

Pluto TV is fleshing out some of the details of its new channels devoted to Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, which are both debuting today. The Jeopardy! channel will feature only episodes hosted by the late Alex Trebek and will draw from 33 of the 37 seasons he hosted between 1984 and 2021. The streamer will also program themed blocks featuring episodes from the Tournament of Champions, Battle of the Decades, and other Jeopardy! events.
Meanwhile, Pluto's Wheel of Fortune offering will be much more recent, only including episodes produced within the past five years.
The streamer's deal with Sony Pictures Television will make it the exclusive free-streaming home of the two shows for the next two years and give it access to 250 episodes of each show at launch, with a new batch of 250 episodes cycling in a year from now. As part of the licensing agreement, Sony has also struck a deal to develop game-show projects for Pluto sibling CBS Entertainment.

Now a segment in which you can't tell the difference between a muumuu and a kimono................

Buzz-GSN where we ask you guys on the Game Show Network Facebook page anything and everything.
We begin with Judith Manchester.
I had to stop watching The Game Show Network today, due to frustration. I am mostly deaf and rely on captioning totally. Since you changed to open-captioning in WHITE, the captioning is just hidden in the background 505-75% of the time. This is especially bad for America Says, which also hides the captioning behind a banner that pops up promoting this or that. Today it was Cash Cab that I had to stop watching after having the answers to the questions repeatedly not visible. PLEASE either pick a color for open-captioning that will show against all backgrounds (neon green or yellow maybe?) or go back to closed-captioning. I love your channel, but the extremely poor visibility of captioning ruins it for me.
I think GSN should try to make the captions more colorful for at least one person or otherwise it'll end up all white for it. Kevin Cearley will be next.
OMG you guys SCREEN YOUR CELEBRITIES! Your contestants depend on them for a reasonable amount of intelligence in some of these game shows (just watched the new 100,000 pyramid). Yikes
No wonder stars always provide assistance to them. We go on to Sherrie Oliver Driscoll.
Very disappointed that Common Knowledge was removed from the afternoon lineup and replaced with the Pyramid show. I think most of us like shows that we can play along with instead of just watching people win or lose games.
Yep. It was considered appointment viewing when you came home from work. Next is Scott D. McPhee.
Why is it that you are only airing Match Game 75 episodes? Is there an issue why you can't air the other years?
Because Buzzr has all the other years including a little of the 1990 and 1998 versions. Don't you get it? We're going to end with Randy Richman.
Please bring back “The Chase” with the BEAST! My favorite game show if all time! The new Chase Show is awful.
Actually no, but I wish The new version of the Chase would be there, too.

Mistplay Game Break is next on the agenda and we got a Concentration puzzle to solve for you......
Guess it after we invite Audriix into the Spotify Soundstage with a brand new song. Wanna hear it and see it? Oh, okay.
But we love the answer. It is..............
I should never book a Carnival cruise line again.
