JoJo Siwa doesn’t want her fans to think she skipped the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

The former “Dance Moms” star shared a post on Instagram, explaining that she had not been invited to the ceremony as it was airing on Sunday night.

“A lot of you have been asking me why I’m not at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards tonight, and the answer is very simple — I wasn’t invited,” she said. “I’m not sure why, but I just didn’t get an invite.”

“A lot of you have been asking why I’m not at the Nickelodeon Kid Choice Awards tonight, I don’t want anyone to think it was my choice not to go…. I simply didn’t get an invite:(” she added in her caption.

Reps for Nickelodeon did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

Siwa, now 18, signed an overall deal with Nickelodeon several years ago. Last year, she released a musical movie titled “The J Team” on Paramount+.

In September, she took a swipe at Nickelodeon on social media, claiming that the network was preventing her from performing music from the film on her  D.R.E.A.M. tour, which began in January. “I go out on tour in January. My movie musical was just released (with 6 new original songs)… Nickelodeon told me today that I’m not allowed to perform/add any of the songs from the film into my show,” she wrote. “These are MY songs, MY voice, MY writing. Does this seem fair???”

She added: “Working for a company as a real human being treated as only a brand is fun until it’s not.”

Idolly Hard

American Idol viewers weren’t expecting any eliminations on Monday, but they got one anyway.

Following 17-year-old Kenedi Anderson‘s stunning Top 24 performance of Christina Perri’s “Human,” host Ryan Seacrest interrupted the broadcast with an important message about Anderson’s future in the competition, or lack thereof.

“You might have noticed that there was no voting information during Kenedi’s performance just now,” Seacrest said a studio. “Since we taped these shows in Hawaii earlier, Kenedi has decided to withdraw from our show for personal reasons. We send her well wishes.”

TVLine has also obtained the following statement from Fremantle Media: “We are disappointed to see Kenedi leave, but we are excited to watch this celebratory 20th season unfold with the incredible talent vying to be the next American Idol.”

No, you shut up!

On Thursday afternoon, the Reverend John Raymond, who is headmaster of the Lakeside Christian School in Slidell, Louisiana, was booked by the Slidell Police Department for three counts of cruelty to juveniles, the police wrote in a Facebook post.

Raymond is the credentials committee chair of the Louisiana Republican Party State Central Committee. He was also a contestant on Season 5 of Survivor in 2002. A biography on CBS says that at the time, he was the executive pastor of a church with 2,700 members.

According to the police, on March 18, Raymond brought three 13-year-old students who were reportedly talking too much in class into his office .

"At some point, Raymond took a roll of packing tape and taped the students' mouths shut by wrapping the tape around their heads," police stated. "Raymond allegedly sent the students back to class for around 45 minutes before another school administrator felt uncomfortable with the situation and removed the tape from the students' face."

The report said the tape had to be cut off with scissors, and Slidell Police added, "During the encounter, the students claim they had trouble breathing and that the removal process was painful."

The police were made aware of the incident after receiving a complaint from the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) regarding potential child abuse at the Lakeside Christian School. After presenting evidence to the judge on Thursday morning, police said that Raymond turned himself in.

A more blossoming Role

Mayim Bialik has already been working steadily as co-host of Jeopardy, but that doesn’t mean she’s set aside other projects. On top of her stint as game show host, Bialik is still starring in her Fox sitcom Call Me Kat, and she has also written and directed her first feature-length film, As They Made Us. The film is a dramedy starring Hollywood legends Dustin Hoffman and Candice Bergen, as well as Glee‘s Dianna Agron and Bialik’s Big Bang Theory co-star Simon Helberg.

The Mayim Bialik movie is about a divorced mother of two named Abigail (Agron) who is struggling with taking care of her kids while exploring a budding romance, all while trying to care for her dying father (Hoffman). Bergman plays Abigail’s mother who remains in denial about her husband’s deteriorating health, and Helberg plays Abigail’s estranged brother.

Bialik has said that the film’s premise came to her after the 2015 death of her own father. “There’s a very specific year of mourning that we do in traditional Judaism. After that year, I felt an urge that I’ve never felt before to start putting down in writing a lot of my experiences and memories of grief. And literally, I ended up with a screenplay. I’ve never written one before,” she said.

The film will be released simultaneously in theaters and on VOD on Friday, April 8, so you should be able to head to your local cineplex, or check out the regular array of at-home providers to watch the movie (iTunes, Prime Video, Vudu, etc.)

Feeling task-Y?

Taskmaster is back for a brand-new series and Channel 4 has confirmed when season 13 of the hit comedy game show will finally hit screens.

The broadcaster has confirmed that the Taskmaster series 13 premiere will air on Thursday, April 14 at 9pm on Channel 4.

Once again presented by Greg Davies and 'little' Alex Horne, the latest cast of famous faces was unveiled all the way back in November, so no doubt they'll be chomping at the bit to see how ridiculous they look doing the challenges.

Enter Ardal O'Hanlon (Death in Paradise), Judi Love (Loose Women), Chris Ramsey (The Chris Ramsey Show), Bridget Christie (Ghosts) and Sophie Duker (Live at the Apollo).

"Survival for this courageous quintet will depend on their abilities to paint perfectly with their lips, effectively wrangle a cement mixer and chase Alex around a tree while he's pedalling a tricycle," the description for this season teases.

"Should they impress the Taskmaster, he will reward them with points and the occasional admiring word. But should they stumble or show any kind of weakness... he'll scent blood and pounce on them like a puma. (Metaphorically)."

Series 13's arrival also coincides with the release of the brand spanking new Taskmaster App; a show companion where fans can take on the role of the Taskmaster themselves while watching from home. The app also features the Taskmaster Academy with quizzes, group and solo tasking games, and a Jukebox .

Taking a Kat Nap

A year ago, Jeopardy! fans were worrying about which guest host might be their favorite, but now the competition has been whittled down to two potential candidates for the full-time host: Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik.

While the game show has yet to determine who will take the coveted position, Jeopardy! has already given Bialik hosting duties for any primetime specials revolving around the series. Meanwhile, Jennings recently left his gig as a Chaser on ABC‘s The Chase, sparking some fans to wonder whether it’s a sign of things to come for his future with Jeopardy!.

Considering these factors, we asked readers to share their thoughts on Jennings and Bialik as potential permanent hosts of the game show in a poll, and the results may surprise you (or not). During the poll’s active days, it garnered a total of 29,683 votes.

Of the votes cast, Jennings took the lead with a majority of 70 percent with 20,885 votes — meanwhile, Bialik came in at 30 percent at 8,798 votes. While both had a strong showing of support, it’s clear who’s favored to be the permanent host among our readers, and that would be Ken Jennings.

At the Lobby of the Podcast Hill building, a race between jaxson De Ville of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Stuff the Magic Dragon was waged. Security asked us to move to the side to watch it but a cameraman saw the action and here's how it went.

Easter is getting closer so why don't we let the Vanderbilt Melodores celebrate that occasion?

Closing Theme

#todayIlearned that KenJen can host better than Mayim. And Six from Blossom would be a better replacement for Vanna White. Good luck on that.

Be safe out this easter weekend and please leave some chocolate out for the Easter Bunny because when this alarm goes off.......................
