Me:Welcome everybody to Game Show Live! where we get lit and get involved. Let's kick it off with......

The Double Toasted opening toss up story.

Game Show Network, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, has announced Emmy(R) award-winning television and sports personality Ahmad Rashad as host of a new quick-moving wordplay game show, TUG OF WORDS. The half-hour original series is anticipated to premiere fall 2021.

From the producing team behind "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," TUG OF WORDS is a fast-paced game where two teams compete to answer word clue questions correctly and pull the flag on the "tug of war rope" to their side. In round one, each answer involves changing a single letter in the word that appears on the board. For example, with 'TUG' on the board, the answer to the clue 'a label inside a garment' is 'TAG,' and with 'TAG' then on the board, the answer to the clue 'hopefully the upstairs neighbors aren't learning this dance' is 'TAP.' With each round, an additional letter is added creating four and five letter words to solve. The team with the flag on their side after three rounds wins the game, qualifying them for the bonus round where they have opportunity to compete for $10,000.

Emmy(R) award-winning television personality Ahmad Rashad is perhaps known just as much for his engaging commentary and interviews with some of the best-known figures in sports as he is for his football career. Over the past two decades, Rashad covered NFL and NBA televised contests both as a studio anchor and as a game reporter for NBC and ABC as well as hosted and executive produced "NBA Inside Stuff." In 2010 he began hosting "One on One with Ahmad Rashad," an NBA TV series which features Rashad's candid and in-depth interviews with the NBA's biggest stars including Lebron James, Michael Jordan, and Shaquille O'Neal.

Rashad also served as a studio host for NBC's coverage of three Olympic Games: 1988 in Seoul (for which he received an Emmy(R) award in the category of writing), 1992 in Barcelona and 1996 in Atlanta, as well as the World Championships of Track and Field. A charming and skilled host, Rashad has long worked in the reality entertainment world, hosting the video-clip show "Real TV" in 2000, the reality show "Celebrity Mole," and the game show "Caesars Challenge" along with co-host Dan Doherty. He has also guest starred on several films and TV shows, including "Space Jam," "Monsters," and "Like Mike."

Rashad graduated from the University of Oregon, where he played as an All-American and was later named to the College Football Hall of Fame. Rashad played for ten years in the NFL and was an All Pro for the Minnesota Vikings and remains a member of the Vikings "Ring of Honor."

TUG OF WORDS is produced by Embassy Row, LLC for Game Show Network. Michael Davies serves as executive producer. Susan Warner also serves as executive producer.

Simon Cowell’s popular talent show “The X Factor” has been canceled after 17 years, U.K. broadcaster ITV has confirmed.

“There are no current plans for the next series of ‘The X Factor’ at this stage,” an ITV spokesperson said in a statement.

Created by Cowell, “The X Factor” began airing in 2004 and 445 episodes have aired over 15 series, with the last one being in 2018. The show was produced by Fremantle’s Thames and Cowell’s production company Syco Entertainment. Episodes aired stateside on AXS.tv.

Cowell’s next venture will be musical quiz show “Walk The Line” for ITV and VOD platform ITV Hub. The format sees musical acts take to the stage to perform, as well as a panel of judges headed up by Cowell. The top two performers of the evening then face a decision in their bid to be crowned champion — to either go home with a cash prize, or walk the line and play on. Should they stay in and top the leaderboard, they will then progress to the next show, facing a different cast of performers. The longer the performers can stay in the contest, the bigger the prize pot, with a high stake ‘stay or play’ moment at the end of each show. Each night, the reigning champion will be offered an even higher cash-out prize.

The format is co-produced and co-developed by Syco Entertainment and Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, and the team behind ITV hits including “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” and “Love Island.”

Last February (before the pandemic led to nationwide lockdowns in the U.K.), it was announced the show would be taking a break for 2020 but was slated to return for 2021. However, just months later, ITV plc managing director Kevin Lygo told the virtual Edinburgh TV Festival there was no guarantee “The X Factor” would ever return to the small screen. “It’s not definitely returning, it might return, and if it does the format will tweak,” he said. “Simon controls it more than we do. When does he want it to come back, how does he want to come back? Hopefully we can be part of it.”

The talent show has been the crown jewel in Cowell’s entertainment empire for decades. As well as selling the format around the world, it has broken the careers of dozens of artists including One Direction, Little Mix, Leona Lewis and Olly Murs.

Wil Anderson and Jan Fran will front a new ABC quiz show set to air on Wednesdays.

Created by Anderson, Question Everything is set to provide audiences with the tools to understand everything they see, read or sometimes share without reading.

Helping the hosts ‘question everything’ each week will be a revolving panel of up-and-coming comedians with the occasional big name thrown in too.

The series is produced by CJZ, with Jess Cohen Cornelius as the series producer. Wil Anderson, Polly Connolly, and Nick Murray are executive producing alongside ABC executive producer Rachel Millar and head of entertainment Nick Hayden.

Fran said she couldn’t wait to get started. “Question Everything is our chance to take a microscope to all the misinformation that we are bombarded with every day to see where it starts and how it spreads,” she said. “At least, that’s a rumour someone sent to me on WhatsApp.”

Anderson is also keen to get to the bottom of different subjects.

“I’m excited by the chance to showcase Australia’s best new comedy talent, and also make history as the first comedy news panel show on the ABC,” he said. “Please don’t fact-check that.”

Prayers up to Kathy Griffin:

Kathy Griffin is recovering from surgery after revealing her stage 1 lung cancer diagnosis.

The two-time Emmy Award winner, 60, revealed Monday morning that she was having part of her left lung removed.

"She is now out of surgery and everything went well, per her doctor," a rep for Griffin tells PEOPLE.

Griffin had previously taken to social media to share a statement about her diagnosis and the road to recovery.

"Yes, I have lung cancer even though I've never smoked!" Griffin wrote.

"The doctors are very optimistic as it is stage one and contained to my left lung," she continued. "Hopefully no chemo or radiation after this and I should have normal function with my breathing. I should be up and running as usual in a month or less."

Griffin assured her followers that she will be "just fine" and urged them to stay current with their medical checkups, in addition to getting vaccinated against COVID-19, which could have made her diagnosis "even more serious."

Some more depressing news:

Jane Marczewski, better known by the stage name Nightbirde, announced on Monday that she is pulling out of America’s Got Talent Season 16 to focus on her battle with cancer.

The inspirational singer-songwriter, who earned Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer in June after performing an original song titled “It’s OK,” told the judges that she had cancer in her lung, spine and liver, but clarified, “I’m so much more than the bad things that happen to me.”

Now, unfortunately, those bad things are preventing her from remaining in the competition.

“Sharing my heart with the world on AGT has been an honor and a dream come true,” the singer wrote in an Instagram post on Monday. “My point of view this summer has been astounding. What a miracle that the pain I’ve walked through can be reworked into beauty that makes people all over the world open their eyes wider.”

She continued, “Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the fight with cancer is demanding all of my energy and attention. I am so sad to announce that I won’t be able to continue forward on this season of AGT. Life doesn’t always give breaks to those that deserve it—but we knew that already.”

Nightbirde’s message concluded with a message of gratitude to everyone who has supported her journey thus far. “Thank you for all your support, it means the world to me,” she wrote. “Stay with me, I’ll be better soon. I’m planning my future, not my legacy. Pretty beat up, but I’ve still got dreams.”

They thought production would halt, but they thought otherwise.

The Masked Singer is the latest TV series to find itself recording positive Covid tests.

Los Angeles County on Monday revealed that the Fox singing competition series has recorded 12 positive tests during its production at Red Studios in Hollywood, where the format is currently filming.

However, production has not been impacted and has not been halted, as Deadline reports the cases have mostly been related to community exposure rather than at the workplace.

Production, which kicked off in June, runs through the middle of next week. “The safety of the entire cast and crew has been and will continue to be our number one priority. We work closely with local and state officials and the unions to ensure we have the safest environment possible,” a Fox spokeswoman told Deadline.

Fox is filming Season 6 of the show, which will air as part of its fall schedule, running on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m., with new series Alter Ego coming in after at 9 p.m.

Remember Ultimate Slip & Slide, a game show that didn't happen to NBC? Well..........

Following an outbreak of a parasitic infection that shut down production and led NBC to yank the show from a planned post-Olympics premiere date, “Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide” will not air at all this summer, the network confirmed to TheWrap Monday.

NBC and Universal Television Alternative Studio, which is producing the show, are still committed to finding a new, safe location to film the $18 million show and get it on the air, but there is currently no plan in place for resuming production or an estimated window during which the show will premiere.

The series, adapted from the classic backyard waterslide by Wham-O, is hosted by Bobby Moynihan and Ron Funches, who did not contract giardia and according to NBC are healthy and fine.

Burton's final show is set to air on Friday, July 30, the last of five shows by the Grammy, Peabody and 12-time Emmy winner. After that, the next guest host will begin on Monday, August 2.

He will be David Faber, the financial journalist and host of the CNBC morning show Squawk on the Street. He will host from August 2 to Friday, August 6.

As for all guests hosts before him, Jeopardy! is making a contribution to a charity of Faber's choice. The financial journalist will be supporting the Robin Hood Foundation, a New York City-based charity that tackles poverty in the city.

Like other guest hosts Aaron Rodgers, Ken Jennings, Anderson Cooper and Robin Roberts before him, Faber is a former contestant on Jeopardy! In 2012, he took part in the show's Jeopardy! Power Players tournament, where he beat basketball star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Fox News' Dana Perino and won $50,000.

After news that he was set to host the show came out, Faber celebrated with a self-deprecating tweet. He said: "He is the least well known out of an incredible group of guest hosts, but promises not to disappoint Jeopardy's many fans. Correct response: This guy!"

George H. Scaggs will kick it off for us.

I was watching a CHAIN REACTION show from 3/3/2021 and one of the chains had the word PRESS and under it was CO and the girl answered CLOTHES,the host said he never heard of that which was not the right word.I remember back in the 40s-50s my mother would say she had to press some clothes instead of saying iron some clothes.

Might've been some era difference there. Going up now is Brenda Wohlford.

So, I’m watching The Chase and the question was “How many years is in a millennium?” The Beast answered “100” and it was counted correct? Why??

Why you ask? To answer that question, there are 1000 years in a millenium. Simple math for you. Next, Darren Richard Cintron.

seth meyers and jimmy kimmel said tic tac dough and jokers wild its coming on game show network.

To which I say.....................NO! We go ahead to Nancy Edgar and a question................

Where are they getting these people as contestants on these game shows? Are they specifically chosen so there won't be a big payout?

Well, since the advent of America Says in 2018, nearly all game shows have occupations or something in common. Almost every game show GSN has produced have a top prize of $10,000. The highest so far is $50,000 on Catch 21. Normally, it would be $25,000. See there? Gerry Denny will end the segment.

Why does GSN continue to air the M-F blockbof Whammy and Pyramid OVER and OVER and OVER?! These episodes have now been on more than a dozen times.

It's because they like it so much and there's nothing they can do about it. Well except for Game Show Central now out on Tubi, Pluto TV, The Ruko Channel and elsewhere streaming services are available.

The Celebrity Dating Game. It's got a flat tire, a root canal, watching paint dry, staring at the ceiling, a Uwe Boll movie marathon and MST3K in a box. ABC brought back for the summer an iconic show the network previously had as of the standout staples of daytime in the 60s and 70s. Now it's back withg 2 hosts and the fans seem to sleep on this hit. Here's what the folks are raving about.

https://youtu.be/BjP2hLxUaKs

I like Zooey, I thought she was fantastic in New Girl. That is why I decided to check this out, I hope they're paying her seven figures, because for the life of me I cannot figure out why on earth she would ever choose the show. It's cringe worthy, it's embarrassing, it's awkward, and I realize it's supposed to be all those things to a certain extent. But wow was this awful, and by the way what the hell was Michael Bolton even doing on the show, he basically sits there and does almost nothing. It's one of the strangest episodes of television I've ever watched.

Obviously with the whole premise of the show being what it is, I wasn't' expecting an Emmy worthy show, but this is just embarrassing. I love Zoey, and I don;t know what they did to convince her to do this. I hope it goes away soon so it doesn't drag her down with it. Obviously not real dates of course, but not even any fun. And finally, Michael Bolton?

Was looking for some mindless distraction before going to bed. Got ten minutes in...that's it. The really old "Dating Game" was horrible. This is ten times worse. So embarrassing!

Are you kidding me?

First off, let me start with the positive highlights of this first episode.

OK, there you go, now on to my review. Terrible and not entertaining. I've always been a fan of Zoe, but if this is the real Zoe, I've kinda lost respect for Jonathan Scott. How are you dealing with her. I hope everything on this show is scripted and produced because if this is real, it's really bad.

I rated it a 2 because I don't think I've ever made an IMDB rating a 1.....or less? Then I saw the overall score and it is a 1.7.. I've never seen an overall score that low, but I guess there's always a first...and that 1.7 really fits.

Then there's Michael Bolton. His non verbal demeanor is screaming "why am I doing this show?" It's written all over his face.

And lastly, why try to replicate a great iconic and awesome show from the day.

I won't be watching episode #2.

It's not "actually" anything that it advertises itself as, as it's not really a "dating" game, the "celebrities" are mostly celebrities in name only (a contestant from another reality dating game show is NOT a celebrity), and therefore does it even qualify as a "show", then?

There's no actual date, and there's no way in a million years these people actually ever go on a date, and Michael Bolton sings like a guy slowly being turned to stone, so there's that, too.

Awful, terrible, no-go pointless waste of time. And Zooey looks frightened to be there.

Not sure what the execs were thinking casting Michael Bolton for this. He barely moves and when he does it reminds me of the old Disney animatronics robots I saw when I was a kid. I mean this guy looks stiff like a corpse kinda stiff.

Zooey is OK as a host, but she's trying too hard to be nice and a good sport about the whole thing when the world knows she's nothing like that. This could have been fun...but it needs to be recast or it won't make it past 6-8 episodes. Waste of a reboot.

Just watched the first episode. They've given the show a 70's-80's theme and designed the set to attract viewers who were around back then. There's 80's pop-star, Michael Bolton and the 'New Girl' who's wrapped in an Awesome Vintage Dress. So WHY are the 'celebrities' people who I've never heard of? This show is a joke and an insult to the original that I grew up watching. PS: I'm only mentioning things that potential viewers would see from the commercials for the show and I won't give any spoilers about the 'dates'. But this whole show was a joke!

This show is like a train wreck, it is so bad, I cant stop watching it, I like to watch it just to make fun of everyone on it, especially Michael Bolton, who looks like a wax figure that they have to prop up every once in awhile to sing and he is obviously reading a teleprompter to sing his stupid songs. Zooey tries her best, but is so super cheesy reading her stupid lines they write. I love on the first show the bachelor number 1 had super sweaty pit stains, oops they missed that, lol. Very cheesey and cringey, this will not last !! Match Game with Alec Baldwin was always my favorite, bring that back !!

I remember this show from the old days. I have watched 2 episodes. I like hannah brown but did not know who the second "celebrity " was. Same with the second show. I knew who carson was, and he was really . Really nice, but i have no clue who the second "star" was and she picked a total dud. In fact many of the contestants on the 2 episodes were simply duds. Now getting to the hosts of the show. Michael bolton sings beautifully, but he sits on the set , saying/doing nothing...like the mafia....it is pretty bizarre. Zoey...well go back to promoting that computer printer that is masking itself as a special craft tool... i really wanted to like this show and maybe it can be fixed...but i give it 10 episodes max before it is cancelled.

Like my title, I love Bolton on the show, mostly because you can pretty much tell he really doesn't want to be there, but he just really owns that, lol. He says the most random things that just make everyone else on the set look over at him all confused, it cracks me up! Normally I love Zoey, but she is NOT a good host. Reading cheesy lines from a teleprompter is not her forte, not sure why they chose her for this (although it is definitely not her fault the writing is SO BAD). Also, like everyone else has stated, calling the contestants "celebrities" is a generous term. Byers was pretty funny, and Carson was a hoot, but everyone else on the first 3 episodes was just bad, sadly. Pretty sure this will be cancelled instead of getting fixed, which is unfortunate cause I love the songs Bolton sings, he sounds amazing, looks super bored, and the lyrics are generally kind of hysterical. The rest of the show, though...where is the actual date? Do the "winners" and the "celebrities" really go on a date? If so, where? What happens? None of these questions are answered, sadly.

So take it from me and see why the Celebrity Dating Game is better than...............oh.....................nothing else. Okay, maybe this will make you feel better:

Happy now?
