Can You Use it In a Sentence, Please?

Once again guest-hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Wednesday, Anthony Anderson talked a bit about the riveting NBA finals victory by the Milwaukee Bucks the night before. And of course this led to a discussion of the team’s finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who scored an amazing 50 points during the winning game.

As Anderson said during his opening monologue, “Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the biggest — and longest — names in the game, and even though we’ve seen his name all over TV for the past month, people still butcher it. Like I do.”

So Anderson decided to incentivize correct spelling of the champ’s name by offering random people money.

Now to be clear, the joke was not about Antetokounmpo’s name itself. At no point was *that* a punch line. The joke was at the expense of people who can’t seem to get it right. The way it worked was that a “Jimmy Kimmel Live” producer went out onto a Hollywood sidewalk and asked random people to spell the champ’s name. The first person was offered 5 bucks. When they failed, the next person was offered $10, and so on. And as the video showed, they kept doubling the amount until they made it to $1,280.

On Your Mark......Get Set........Blast Off!

After making the whole thing look vaguely like a porn, Anderson moved on to the people Bezos brought with him into near-Earth orbit. “He took a diverse crew of four different kinds of white people, including his younger brother, Mark, who looks like the cheapest version of Jeff Bezos sold on Amazon,” Anderson joked.

Anderson poked fun at the fact that the trip lasted only 10 minutes, which again is because he didn’t actually travel to space. Bezos’ penis-shaped rocket went 250,000 feet in the air, which isn’t anything to sneeze at. But scientists and international treaties have generally agreed the official start of space is 62 miles, or 327,360 feet. Anyway, Anderson remarked on how short the trip was and then noted how Bezos disembarked.

“He exited the rocket wearing a cowboy hat. Boy, nothing says ‘midlife crisis’ like putting on a cowboy hat and blasting off to space in a giant metal d—,” Anderson joked.

Then Anderson covered the incredibly tone-deaf thing we referred to above. During a post-flight interview, Bezos said: “I also want to thank every Amazon employee and every Amazon customer, because you guys paid for all of this.”

About that, Anderson joked: “So to recap, Bezos looks and sounds like a douche.” Zing!

Here's your Twitch Clip of the day.  Professional wrestler Allysin Kay is more widely known on Twitch for reacting to really old wrestling clips on Youtube and this clip here proves that by watching an old GLOW rerun. The original, not the Netflix one. Enjoy.

Once reality TV fans learned that there would be a new version of the Dating Game, they wanted to know more about the Celebrity Dating Game. News broke that The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown would appear on the show, and when she shared that she was officially dating someone back in February, people wondered where she met her boyfriend.

Meeting on a game show would definitely be a fun and entertaining tale to tell people, but can love connections actually happen on the Celebrity Dating Game? And what do viewers actually think about it?

Let's take a look at why people don't seem to like this new reality series.

Zooey Deschanel has done a lot after New Girl finished, and now she's the co-host of this new show.

People don't love Celebrity Dating Game and according to The Sun, they have been tweeting their opinions of the new reality series, and they're not very positive at all.

One person said, "I haven’t felt so embarrassed for humanity as I have while watching." Another commented, "#ABC has hit peak cringe with #CelebrityDatingGame. I'm actually embarrassed for everyone involved."

When discussing the show in a Reddit thread, one viewer said that while they found it enjoyable, they didn't think it really felt like a series about dating: they wrote, "It was absolutely ridiculous but I thought it was fun. Not really much of a dating show."

The Celebrity Dating Game has an Audience Score of 4 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and many comments on the website show that people aren't big fans of the show. One viewer compared it to the original and found it lackluster: they wrote, "HORRIBLE! They need to go back and watch the old Dating Game! They've ruined this game. Make it like it was back then. There will be a huge ratings increase! I guarantee it."

A review on Cinemablend.com called Michael Bolton "the best part of the show. Also, the weirdest part of the show." The review mentioned that Bolton sings a lot in each episode and his songs are meant to be parodies that help fans guess who the celebs are.

People wondered what the show would be like even before getting the chance to watch the first episode: in a Reddit thread from several months ago, some people wondered why Bolton and Deschanel were put together, and someone said that they weren't happy about a game show getting a new version.

Fans will have to keep tuning into the Celebrity Dating Game to see how they feel about the rest of the season.

ESPN and The Walt Disney Company have reached an unprecedented partnership with Peyton Manning and his Omaha Productions company that will result in a first-of-its kind Monday Night Football MegaCast production, featuring both Peyton and Eli Manning. Peyton and Eli, combined four-time Super Bowl champions, will headline the new additional viewing option starting with the 2021 NFL Season through the 2023 season (a total of 30 games over 3 seasons).

Each Peyton and Eli-fronted MegaCast will be distributed on ESPN2, with potential for additional distribution on other Disney properties including ESPN+, complementing Monday Night Football's traditional telecast, which will continue to be available on ESPN and/or ABC each week. Together, the two viewing options will expand the reach and audience of the historic NFL television franchise.

"Offering multiple Monday Night Football viewing options for the next three seasons continues our innovation efforts and provides additional value for our fans," said Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman of ESPN and Sports Content. "Peyton and Eli will bring a different approach, delving into conversation about broader, big-picture topics while also honing in on the game, much like fans do when watching with their family and friends."

Produced by ESPN, in conjunction with Omaha Productions, the unique MegaCast option will originate from a remote location. Fans will be treated to a mix of in-the-moment analysis, big picture NFL dialogue, knee-jerk reaction, historical perspective, and more. Peyton and Eli will be joined each week by a to-be-determined host. Iconic and current athletes, as well as celebrities, are expected to appear throughout the season. Fans will never miss any of the action, as a multi-box viewing experience will ensure the game is always visible.

"This partnership with ESPN and The Walt Disney Company reflects an ongoing, shared commitment to offering fans fun, innovative content," said Peyton Manning. "ESPN+ has been a terrific partner for Omaha Productions as we built out The Places franchise and we're excited to co-create a new MegaCast format that will have something for everyone."

This deal extends and enhances the meaningful relationship between Peyton, Omaha Productions, ESPN and The Walt Disney Company, one that formally began in 2019 with the launch of Peyton's Places on ESPN+, produced by NFL Films. The show's original concept, which celebrated the NFL's 100th season and offered a fun, light-hearted dive into the moments, people and places that helped shape the sport's history, has developed to become ESPN+'s most extensive franchise. Five new series, executive produced by Omaha Productions and NFL Films, are in production and will debut over the next year. The new series are Abby's Places, with Abby Wambach (soccer), Eli's Places with Eli Manning (college football), Papi's Places with David Ortiz (Major League Baseball), Rowdy's Places with Ronda Rousey (combat sports) and Vince's Places with Vince Carter (NBA). Abby's Places first episode is available now.

As previously announced, Steve Levy, Brian Griese, Louis Riddick, Lisa Salters and John Parry return for their second consecutive season as a broadcast group and will be on the traditional call of Monday Night Football on ESPN. The commentary team will be onsite each week, including when fans are inside Allegiant Stadium for the first time for a regular season game in Week 1. ESPN's full 2021 NFL schedule is available here.

"Steve, Brian, Louis, Lisa and John are poised for a great season, building upon the strong foundation they formed in a very successful first year despite the challenges brought about due to the pandemic," said Pitaro. ""This new MegaCast option is designed to be a great complement to our traditional telecast."

In addition to airing on ESPN and/or ABC, the traditional call of Monday Night Football will be streamed across devices on ESPN and/or ABC and NFL digital properties, and on mobile via participating club apps and Verizon Media mobile properties. ESPN Deportes will produce Spanish-language presentations which will be streamed across ESPN digital properties and Verizon Media mobile properties.

Peyton and Eli's MegaCast broadcast will debut the first three weeks of 2021 MNF slate (Baltimore at Las Vegas, Detroit at Green Bay, and Philadelphia at Dallas) and continue seven other weeks during the season, to be announced.

And sticking with Hawaii..............

New York, NY - July 19, 2021 - Join Guy Fieri and his family as they roll through the Hawaiian Islands for a deep dive into the tradition, the adventure and all types of great food on the new four-episode discovery+ series Guy: Hawaiian Style. Hawaii is one of Guy's favorite places to visit, and on this trip he soaks up all that the four main islands of Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island have to offer. This is not your average Hawaiian vacation, as Guy and his family go off the beaten path to explore everything this sacred island oasis has to offer, from clay shooting inside an old volcano to spear fishing, and from harvesting salt to touring unique pineapple and coconut farms. No trip is complete without visiting some favorite Triple D spots to check out the new dishes they are cooking up, plus Guy discovers new off-the-hook restaurants and hangs with some famous friends along the way. Don't miss all the unforgettable fun beginning on Saturday, August 28th.

"If Hawaii offers it, we try it," said Fieri. "We do it all, from land to sea and the best part is that viewers get to come along for the incredible adventure and experience it too."

"Guy takes 'Hawaiian vacation' to the next level as he hits the road less traveled, from excursions inside a volcano to swimming with manta rays after dark, the epic-action punctuated by the beauty and varied terrain of Hawaii makes it a ride viewers won't want to miss," said Courtney White, President, Food Network.

The journey begins on Maui with a traditional blessing for Guy and his family. Then, Guy's wife Lori Fieri and youngest son Ryder Fieri dive into SCUBA certification, so the whole family can head underwater to get up-close-and-personal with sea turtles, reef sharks, and more. Plus, they get a special tour of a pineapple farm that ends with a unique vodka chaser. Guy, Hunter Fieri and his nephew Jules Fieri also indulge in some epic poke and shave ice. They make the most of Maui with early-morning deep-sea fishing, where they reel in a fresh catch and cook a feast with the help of some Triple D buddies. Later, family and friends gather for a real-deal luau on a local farm, complete with an underground pig roast, poi and lei making, and an unforgettable celebration.

The adventure continues as the Fieris find themselves hanging with Mick Fleetwood at his Maui restaurant, where Guy cooks up Mick's favorites. Then, they discover mind-blowing ways to use coconuts before hopping over to the Big Island, where Guy, Hunter, and Jules explore the secrets of salt harvesting, abalone cultivation, and catching waves with surf legends. Plus, things go over-the-top when they dive after dark for a see-it-to-believe-it manta ray extravaganza. Then, it's off to Oahu, where the family joins forces at Pearl Harbor to cook up a Mexican lunch for hundreds of troops. It's all capped off with a surprise submarine tour for Guy's father who is a Navy veteran. Come along as the Fieris say "aloha" to all the food, drinks, entertainment, and adventure of Hawaii!

Follow #HawaiianStyle, and go behind the scenes with Guy and his family as they experience off-the-hook adventures and the most-memorable meals in paradise. Also, visit www.discoveryplus.com, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more.
