Fully vaccinated with 2 doses of Pfizer, 3 doses of the flu vaccine, a blood test, a check of the tonsils and 5 shots of novocaine from the dentist, Game Show Live! starts.......now, OW! It hurts.
Famed gameshow host and musician Peter Marshall is getting ready to celebrate his 95th birthday.
The “Hollywood Squares” host is set to mark the milestone on March 30 during a special Zoom birthday party attended by Leslie Uggams, Loni Anderson, Sandy Duncan, Ruta Lee, Karen Valentine, Rich Little, Monica Mancini, JoAnne Worley, Jack Jones and more.
During the celebration, they will look back at rare clips spanning his incredible 80 years in show business.
What makes the Emmy Award winner’s birthday even more special is the fact that doctors didn’t think he would make it after contracting COVID-19 earlier this year.
In January, both Peter and his wife, Laurie, had tested positive. Peter had to be hospitalized and his wife of 32 years wasn’t able to visit for some time.
“When they finally allowed me to visit him, it was clear his diagnosis was grim. It seemed that staff was under such strain and resources were in short supply that greater efforts were being made to save patients much younger than Peter and with a stronger likelihood of surviving. We decided then to bring Peter home to be surrounded by family, friends and his animals to live out his final days, rather than die alone in the hospital,” Laurie recalled in a statement to ET Canada. She was told to make final arrangements as he would not survive without the high flow oxygen given at the hospital. With some help, they changed Peter’s den into an intensive care unit.
“Dr. Mizrahi wasn’t convinced it was Peter’s time to die,” Laurie said. “And with the aid of around-the-clock nurses and surrounded by his family, he’s turned a fatal diagnosis into a miraculous recovery.” Peter has been home for two months now.
Laurie added, “We’re just beyond grateful for the caregivers who didn’t give up and made it possible for us to celebrate Peter’s upcoming 95th birthday with his family.”
In lieu of gift, Peter is asking that anyone who wants to commemorate the day to make a donation to Actors and Others For Animals.
Additionally, his albums Let’s Be Frank, Boy Singer and No Happy Endings will be released digitally for the first time to mark his birthday. More information on how to attend his Zoom birthday on March 30 at 8 p.m. ET can be found on his website.

Colbi: Some members of our viewing audience will receive......
Multi-platinum artist, actor, philanthropist and entertainment icon Snoop Dogg will serve as Mega Mentor on Season 2After six long years of staying on the pause screen, G4 is set to hit “play” on its network relaunch this summer, giving gamers and plugged-in pop culture savants a 2021 jolt of the madcap mix of comedy and digital culture that old-school fans never stopped missing. Now the network is ready to reveal an all-new series to sit alongside previously-announced returns of X-Play and Attack of the Show! — and this one might just be a body slam.
Tapping the star power of wrestling star Xavier Woods (aka Austin Creed), G4 is getting in the ring for an official content partnership with WWE. Woods will preside over a game show crossover set to pit competitors one on one in a comedic struggle to settle their beef the old-fashioned way: in head-to-head video game battles.
Woods, whom G4 revealed last year as one of the fresh-but-familiar faces we’ll be seeing a lot of for the relaunch, will emcee over the slapstick proceedings with a WWE flair that Brian Terwilliger, G4’s VP of Programming and Creative Strategy, says will probably escalate the grudge gaming stakes as much as it contains them.
The series aims to wrest a ton of comedy from squaring personalities against one another under Woods’ watchful eye. Matches “could be [between] two celebrities who are relatively endemic to the gaming sphere. It could be between a WWE personality and one of our own G4 hosts,” Terwilliger, who played an integral part in creating Woods’ hugely popular UpUpDownDown web gaming series, told SYFY WIRE.
“Who knows?” he teased. “Xavier Woods might have to take off the host’s jacket and put on the gloves himself to get involved.”
0 of NBC's four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series, "The Voice."
Snoop Dogg joins superstar coaches Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, John Legend and Blake Shelton to mentor the remaining artists who have made it through the Battle Rounds, as each team prepares for the Knockouts, beginning Monday, April 19 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT).
During the Knockout Rounds, artists are once again paired against a teammate, but select their own song to perform individually while their direct competitor watches and waits. Drawing from his unique experience in navigating the music and entertainment industry as a renowned rapper, producer and performer, Snoop Dogg will impart a new and fresh perspective to help the artists craft their performances. Coaches alone choose the winner to advance from their team. Each coach has one steal in the Knockouts.
Additionally, the four artists that were saved by their individual coaches during the Battle Rounds will compete in the Four-Way Knockout. Each of the four artists will receive individualized coaching and rehearsals with their coach and Snoop Dogg in preparation for the Four-Way Knockout. However, the winner will ultimately be chosen by America. At the top of the final Knockouts episode, voting will open for America to choose which of the four artists moves forward in the competition after their performances. Then, at the beginning of the first Live Show, host Carson Daly will reveal which of the four artists was voted through by America, and that artist will continue to the Live Shows with their original team.
An entertainment icon, Snoop Dogg has reigned for nearly three decades as an unparalleled force, who has raised the bar as an award-winning entertainer and globally recognized entrepreneur. Snoop defines entertainment history. He has released 19 studio albums, sold over 40 million albums worldwide, reached No. 1 countless times on Billboard charts internationally and received 20 Grammy nominations. · Snoop has also appeared in numerous films, such as, Dolemite Is My Name, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, The Addams Family, Beach Bum, Starsky & Hutch, Soul Plane and the Oscar(R)-winning drama Training Day, among others. He has also produced several films, including VICE's Reincarnated, Mac & Dean Go to High School and Hood of Horror through his production company Snoopadelic Films. He made his mark in television when he garnered an Emmy nomination as executive producer for the hit VH1 show Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner. Snoop was also the executive producer of the acclaimed Netflix show Coach Snoop, GGN: Double G News, MTV's Mary + Jane and the TNT game show Joker's Wild, which he also hosted.
Season 20 marks the 10-year anniversary of "The Voice."

The Lightning rant is minutes away, but first.......

Writers for the ABC game show The Chase have ended their strike after the show's producer ITV America has settled the dispute with the Writers Guild.
Scribes on the quiz show, which features a team of contestants competing against trivia experts, had stopped work on March 24, after ITV refused to agree to cover the writers’ work under the WGA's Minimum Basic Agreement. The parties have since agreed on a contract.
"ITV Entertainment and the WGAE are pleased to have come to terms for writers on The Chase to be represented by the WGAE and for the show to be covered by the Minimum Basic Agreement," said the WGA East in a statement.
"We are in agreement that fair and positive work practices are essential to our industry and that, especially during the ongoing battle of the pandemic, the priority is to keep production going and to ensure that people can do their work and build sustainable careers," the statement continued. "We are glad to have come to terms and that the process is completed."
Following unsuccessful negotiations in late March, the guild had told their members that "Working Rule 8" — which states that "no member shall accept employment with, nor option or sell literary material to, any person, firm or corporation who is not signatory to the applicable MBAs" — was in effect for the show. The union insisted that the MBA, which allows for health and pension benefits and residuals, be applied to The Chase writers the way it is for other game shows like Jeopardy! and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? — but ITV maintained that the writers' demands would "economically cripple the show."

But it's not over yet. We go to a segment in which trial doesn't mean errors you comitted in baseball......

Buzz-GSN where we ask you guys on the Game Show Network Facebook page anything and everything.

We begin with May Day Koenig.
So, I just found out that Chain Reaction is back on!!! Super excited, except, when I looked at when I could watch, its on a 3pm every weekday here, while I'm at work (and no DVR). Any chance of putting an episode later in the evening as well, instead of a million episodes of Family Feud and America Says? I have pretty much stopped watching because that's all that seems to be on, and they repeat a lot. I would love to be able to watch Chain Reaction!
Yeah, I know. If it moved after work, it would've made even more sense to watch it. We go on to Nicolas White.
I want Classic Wheel of Fortune episodes back! Buzzr won't air Wheel of Fortune because it's owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Yeah, me too. Next.......Robin Bagent.
Watching Match Game on Game Show Network. WOW! If you doubt we've come a long way toward respect for diversity, watch this show. It is HORRIBLE! The host, Gene Rayborne told a celebrity she couldn't be expected to get the right answer, because she's a girl. One of the questions was, "My uncle is a little person and he just got ran over by a herd of _____." He said it in a little voice and instead of saying blank, he said "black". In less than 1/2 an hour they have made fun of blacks (contestant), homosexuals, little people, and women. Oh, and the results were "thrown" because...someone with "two heads" wasn't considered a "Siamese Twin." Oops...forgot to include they made fun of disabled.
Now we all know it's a mishap but hey, classic TV was what it was even if you make a mistake. And this was before politically correctness came to play. Now we go on to Garry Denny.
OMG, please change the morning lineup of Whammy and Pyramid!! These episodes have easily aired 10-15 times now. How can game show viewers enjoy your tired, lazy schedule if the outcome has been seen many, many times? You clearly don’t give a rip about your core audience.
Perhaps some classic Pyramid would've worked it out. Next, Don Connors.
So am I the only one who thinks Dylan Lane is doing way way better on the revival than he ever did on the original? For one thing this time around he acts like he actually wants to be there.
Yeah I think he did well, but the ones back in NYC.....not so much. Wrapping things up, Julia Deren.
The relatives always mess up the people chosen to play deal or no deal. The relatives push them and push them and push them to take just one more case, just one more case, just one more case and they end up losing everything. The relatives need to put a lid on it.
I guess that's the way things go with you play DOND.
(song stops)

And we're still not done yet. How about a Mistplay Game Break, huh? Well, you got this Password Plus puzzle from 1981.
Think on it after a Pandora Song Break. We begin April Acapella Awareness Month. Last year, all acapella groups were asked by federal and local governments of all 50 states to stay home. That didn't mean acapella music would still come in out from under the rug. So the only way they knew how is to provide a safe social distancing space to lift their voices together. One example of which is Premiere A capella and this little ditty.
But nothing breaks in like this answer:
That's because Benjamin Franklin used the pseudonym of Poor Richard for this book. That paved the way for the old Farmer's Almanac.

Before we hit Pause for this week, the success of Silk Sonic's hot new single "Leave The Door Open" lead somewhere to a female offshoot of the same group entitled "Nylon Tails." Consisting of Sara Niemietz and children's music hitmaker Laurie Berkner, the duo came about after an unexpected Zoom call last month. The new song to capitialize on Silk Sonic's hit song is entitled "Leave The Window Open." That's because with spring weather already here.........
That's it for this week, today's consolation prize is a can of Landord Get Gone. Just pay the rent to him, use the can and poof! You'll be rent free as long as you don't get fired from your job. Lease renewals not included.
Don't forget to email me at kellypierre8@gmail.com, coppockonsports@yahoo.com, Pierre Jason Kelly on FB and @Johnny_Arcade on twitter. Also I'm on Snapchat as MisterGSN and Instagram as MrJackbox. We will return next Wednesday, and until we return, Play on playas.
