Madison Brunoehler: From the noth pole, to the chiminey of your house, now in it's 4th consecutive year, it's......

Now, America's favorite Secret Santa, Pierre Kelly!

Me: The Grinch may have stole Christmas but this is where he got arrested for shoplifting trees.....you know, the tall ones outside your house at the park where it's no leaves every winter. It's Game Show Live! where we get lit and get involved. Next week, I'm turning 38 along with Britney Spears as of this writing, and I was supposed to treat them to tickets to the Nutcracker but it's now all-virtual for the first.....and possibly ONLY time this year. I'd imagine ballet dancers dancing to a pre-recorded orchestra trackof the whole thing but instead I gave them tickets to the new play "Human Resoources: The Musical" to take place at the new Tony Reali Virtual Theatre this Saturday instead of staying in to do battle for that global pub quiz with Julinka. Isn't she smoking hot? Anyways, this play will run 2 straight weeknds in a row, December 4-5th and 11-12th respectively at this link:

And they've asked us to do some sneaky peeks on this blog. So to kick it off is our pixie-haired Pyramid princess Charissa Memrick doing "Something Bigger Than You."

Thanks Charissa but what's bigger than a breadbox? Why it's......

The Double Toasted opening toss-up story.

Former champion Ken Jennings will be the first of several guest hosts on Jeopardy! when it resumes production at the end of the month. It will be the first episodes shot on the game show since longtime host Alex Trebek died earlier this month at age 80 after a long fight against pancreatic cancer.

Jennings, who will begin season 2 of "Master Minds" in December and the reboot of "The Chase" in January, earlier this year claimed the title of Jeopardy!'s "Greatest of All Time" in a series of primetime matches. The record-holder for the most consecutive games won (74) and biggest winnings in regular-season play ($2,520,700) has been tipped as a front-runner to take over for Trebek, who had been the host since 1984.

Producer Sony Pictures Television said Monday that a permanent host has not been named; rather, a series of interim guest hosts "from within the Jeopardy! family" will take the podium, beginning with Jennings when shooting resumes November 30. Other hosts have not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, Jeopardy! will air 10 of Trebek's best episodes during the weeks of December 21 and December 28, with the last week of episodes that Trebek shot before his death (they were filmed in October) now set to air beginning January 4. They had been planned to air during the week of December but were shifted to avoid holiday-season pre-emptions.

The first week of guest-hosted shows featuring Jennings will air the week of January 11.

Some of the greatest rivalries among the nation's universities are being moved from the playing field to the quiz show space as NBC has given a series order to the iconic program "College Bowl," hosted by two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Peyton Manning, with his brother Cooper Manning as sideline reporter.

From Universal Television Alternative Studio and Village Roadshow Television, the 10-episode series is a reboot of the classic "College Bowl" that previously aired successfully on NBC in the U.S, internationally and on college campuses for many decades.

All in the spirit of fun, "College Bowl" has been a beloved competition where universities get to see who comes out on top in a battle of the brains. Participating teams will be selected from schools of all sizes with the individuals receiving a significant scholarship for participating in "College Bowl." The winning team members will have a chance to take home even bigger scholarships, in addition to bragging rights as the "College Bowl" champions.

"We're excited to bring this beloved college game show back to primetime with a fresh new spin that is sure to not only entertain but also inspire," said Jenny Groom, Executive Vice President, Unscripted Content. "Peyton's love for competition, sport and education makes him the perfect host and partner. It will be so much fun to showcase these college rivalries and, more importantly, the incredibly smart and talented students behind them."

Added Peyton Manning, "I've always loved intense college competition, so I'm thrilled to be part of the team bringing back 'College Bowl.' Having personally seen the profound impact scholarships can make on deserving students, I can't wait for the moment when we get to award life-changing scholarships to the winning team."

Normally we'd be enjoying a season of Survivor right now, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed life as we all knew it.

While everyone's lives were turned upside down with the novel virus, it was also difficult for television shows to continue filming as normal. Survivor fell into that category, as they normally shoot their upcoming seasons in the spring and then spend the summer editing both seasons. Season 41 should have been airing right now while season 42 would be our spring season. Instead, the show won't be filming until the spring, at least that's the plan.

Martin Holmes of Inside Survivor reported that while Fiji is still the plan as far as the location goes for the next two seasons, the show is looking into a backup plan of the Caribbean.

The Dominican Republic was recently used as the location for Survivor Mexico, which was filmed throughout July and August. The country has also been used as the location for various other international Survivor seasons in the past. Even though there is a Level 3 Travel Advisory recommending U.S. citizens to reconsider travel to the Dominican Republic, the country is open to international visitors with no negative COVID-19 test required to enter.

Meanwhile, there remains a ban on international visitors in Fiji, with possible exceptions for those arriving by sea. Survivor has filmed in Fiji since season 33, but it looks like they're willing to do whatever it takes to get filming underway this spring, even if that means changing locations.

Amazon has greenlit a French version of their hit Japanese format Hitoshi Matsumoto Presents Documental, in which comedians compete to try and get each other to laugh while keeping a straight face themselves.

French actor and comedian Philippe Lacheau (Alibi.com) will present the French version, LOL: Tu ris, Tu perds (LOL: Last One Laughing), pitting 10 famous French comedians against one in a competition for a €100,000 ($119,000) donation to their favorite charity.

The competing comedians include Tarek Boudali, Inès Reg, Julien Arruti, Reem Kherici, Alexandra Lamy, Gérard Jugnot, Kyan Khojandi, Bérengère Krief, Hakim Jemily, and Fadily Camara.

Endemol Shine France will produce LOL for Amazon, which will launch the six-part series exclusively on its Prime Video service in France and across 240 countries and territories next year.

This is the third local-language adaptation of the original Japanese format. Amazon has already launched versions in Mexico (hosted by Eugenio Derbez) and Australia (hosted by Rebel Wilson).

Michael McIntyre's new game show, The Wheel, is set to brighten up our Saturday evenings on BBC One this winter. Packed with huge stars, big laughs and a giant spinning winning, the show will see contestants guided by celebrity experts as they answer their way to a fortune – or not, if they get it wrong. So, when is it on? What can viewers expect? And how exactly does the game work? Here's everything you need to know.

The Wheel starts on BBC One on Saturday 28th November at 20:30pm. New episodes will air weekly, with repeats also showing on BBC One on Saturdays at midnight.

As you probably guessed from the name, the show involves a physical wheel which is 42ft wide, with seven celebrities sat upon it. But before we get to the celebrities, there is a smaller wheel with contestants which must be spun.

"We came up with the idea of having another wheel underneath the main wheel, of contestants, so there would be the three contestants on the contestant wheel under the main wheel," McIntyre explains. "And the contestant wheel is spun and whoever lands in the middle… is selected and they rise up. And the idea is for them to stay on the wheel, keep answering the questions until the end where they can win big money. But every time they get a question wrong, they slip back onto the contestant wheel which is spun again."

When the contestant is picked, they join Michael and the celebrities in the middle of the main wheel, where their game will begin. The contestant will select which category they want to take on and will answer it with the help of one of the celebrities – who all bring a different expertise to the game.

However, the contestant won't get to decide which celebrity helps them as it is up to the other wheel, which spins the famous faces. Whoever this lands on when it stops will have to help answer the question, regardless of whether they're an expert in that field. You can imagine the horror if it lands on a category that's out of their comfort zone!

McIntyre continued: "The game play is that the contestant has to pick a category, for example, television, we had Richard Madeley representing television. So he is the expert, he is lit up in gold and if you land on him, that's worth £10,000 to the prize pot. "The contestant then has to pick another person from the wheel which they feel don't watch television. If it lands on that person which is shut down in red, then you're immediately off the wheel."

The contestants have a one in seven chance of being thrown off as well as a one in seven chance of landing on the expert.

"Then we spin all the experts quite fast and then hopefully you land on gold, you don't want to land on red," McIntyre added. "Or you land on Kate Humble who represents farm animals but she has to help you with television or the Reverend Richard Coles who is there because of religion who has to help you with tennis because Judy Murray is the expert."

In order to build their prize packet, the contestants must keep answering questions correctly. However, as soon as they get a question wrong they are lowered down and the contestant wheel is spun again. Once all seven categories are completed, whichever contestant is in control of the wheel at the end has to answer one last question in order for them to take home the prize money.

Just weeks into Facebook's debut into the cloud gaming market, it has its first "exclusive" title that's a perfect fit for Facebook users: a reality show that lives completely in the cloud.

Coming Wednesday, "Rival Peak" is a Facebook Watch program in which artificial intelligence-driven "contestants" will live, work and exist for every minute of the day within the fictional region of Rival Peak, a mountainous forest region that emulates the Pacific Northwest.

With a diverse cast of internationally-based characters, Facebook users will decide what each contestant of the show will do in the game, how they behave, and who will basically be "voted out" by the end of every week of its 12-week run.

The game/show is being developed by Pipeworks Studios and Genvid Technologies, including former staff of the beloved-but-shuttered Telltale Games, who created some of the strongest narrative adventure games of the century, including "The Walking Dead." So think of it like a mix of a Telltale adventure game with branching stories for each of its 12 characters, with reality shows like "Survivor" and "Big Brother."

"Rival Peak" also hides a mystery that's going to be revealed at the end of its run, but otherwise the audience determines the fate of the cast. "We are the creators of the show and we have no idea how it will end," Jacob Navok, cofounder and CEO of Genvid Technologies, tells The Washington Post. "And every single week, we have to change the dialogue, change the weekly wrap-up show. It's really being built week to week as the audience is collectively deciding what's going to happen. The storyline that the community decides on is the canonical storyline.".

And now, because we may be all dreaming of a Black & White TV nightmare, it's.......

Buzz-GSN where we ask you guys on the Game Show Network Facebook page anything and everything.

https://youtu.be/yj0iG5UN2-E

Starting things off, John Birchett.

"With the constant same O same O programing you have on the network, you should call the channel The America Say's/Family Feud Network! Because that's all you seem to constantly show EVERYTIME! You really need to get more variety and new shows!"

Really GSN. Really. Up Next, Rodney Blauser.

"I asked previously and got no response so I will ask again. When are they coming out with new episodes of America Says? This is by far my favorite show and I am anxiously awaiting new episodes. If anyone knows, please respond to my post."

I have no idea. If the virus passes, I don't know when it will happen but we'll pass it along to you. Next up, Steven B. Walker.

"The bias shown by the host of Catch 21 is obvious and inappropriate. As an example, the host asks a question about who watches more "porn" - liberals or conservatives. The contestant answers "liberals" and the host takes great delight with the wrong guess and looks into the camera and says "Think about that America!" We will no longer be watching Catch 22."

TV today. it's kinda stupid and downlright ugly. Going ahead is Michael Anthony Castellon.

"Please bring back Jeopardy marathon every weekend on the regular schedule like you do Harvey Feud and that's when it will get ratings as well as I would be excited to watch Jeopardy episodes from years ago so please bring back Jeopardy marathon on weekends."

If only. Next, Coleen Hayes.

"Why hasn’t anyone thought to bring back the game show Tattletales? I can think of lots of celebrity couples that would be great to have on the show!"

No idea because having an audience under a pandemic is dumb and 2nd, hearing dirty laundry would be considered a TV-14 if it was revived.
